I understand Saturday's are busy, and that a wait is expected, but when the waitress running your section refuses to make eye contact, takes orders from every table around BUT yours, there's definitely an issue. So- grey blond waitress working on 3/22/25- in the white button up shirt- I'm sorry you're apparently miserable- but if your very nice coworker hadn't stepped up where you failed- we would have left. No excuses for your behavior. This is the first time I've contemplated getting up without giving a locally owned institution a chance simple because of you. I just moved to Idaho to be with the love of my life.. my fiance told me both him and one of his coworkers come here often for work meetings in the morning, and they love going here. He gave me some money to treat myself to breakfast here while he's hard at work. I was excited to see what an idaho diner that isn't a franchise is like! First thoughts: this place is big ! From the way he talked about it, I thought it would be small but it's the complete opposite. It seems to be popular with the locals as there were about half the tables taken. The look of this establishment has a certain charm.. I really like the bar stool area towards the back with the large mirror and the booths are cute. I sat myself as the sign when you walk in states to do so, and it took a bit before someone came by to hand me a menu. There was an older waitress who was taking orders for other tables around me but she skipped my table completely. There was also a younger waitress whose name tag read Kelly who was working hard bussing tables who told the older waitress I've yet to be helped but she seemed like she could care less so Kelly stopped what she was doing to come by my table with a menu, she apologized and took my order. I really appreciated her kindness .. she was VERY sweet to me! One thing I've noticed moving here is that i don't look like most people in idaho.. the way I dress I stand out, you can tell i'm not from around these parts, and while I've come across some very kind people here, others really aren't used to my uniqueness. So when someone compliments me or smiles at me, I really take that to heart. Kelly made sure I got exactly what I ordered as well! I'm also kind of unique in the way I order at restaurants too... I wanted the garden omelet but no mushrooms whatsoever, I also asked for wheat toast on the side and no hashbrowns.. I opted for cottage cheese instead. The cooks in the kitchen were about to throw a big pile of hash browns on my plate and i heard Kelly yell to them "she wanted the hash browns swapped out for cottage cheese!" I looked up immediately, our eyes met, and we smiled at each other. LOL! The food was delicious!! Everything from the orange juice, the omelet, cottage cheese and toast were all plated and prepared to perfection! I left with my belly full and happy. The bill was quite reasonable too... I made sure to give Miss. Kelly a generous tip for her delightful service. I will definitely come back with my fiance and I hope she will be my server again when I do ! She is what earned this place 5 stars from me today and if the owner sees this review he better give this nice young lady a raise and big bonus for the holidays and hold on to her as long as possible. This place is classic. If you are from here-everyone knows this place. I haven't been here in 20 years and my review is 100% based on nostalgia. It's like taking a step back in time but with updated amenities. Came here on a Saturday morning and was seated right away for 4. The service was fast and friendly and the food was decent diner food. We tried a few options and you can't go wrong. Big portions! It would definitely feed a crowd. But if there is one thing you must have is the cinnamon role! This historic cafe is not only beautiful but has incredible customer service and food. You get soooooo much food for a low price. The cinnamon roll was the best we ever tasted and the pancake came with blueberry syrup that tasted fresh from a farmers market. My wife and I were antiquing today in Ada and Canyon counties. We were in Nampa and we were hungry. I told my wife I would like breakfast so she told me to look for a place. I was on Yelp and saw this restaurant. We were a minute away so we walked there. Even though it was afternoon we both wanted breakfast. I ordered the Mexican Omelette and it was delicious. The eggs were fresh, the salsa was good. The biscuit was fresh as well. If I am ever in Nampa again I will try this place. read more

This is one of the of those rare unicorns... not a chain! It is very popular with locals. The food is average for the most part. The tuna sandwich did not have raw onions in it, so for that I am grateful as I am allergic. There was a lot of tuna in the sandwich! The fries were very good. My son ordered the French dip. Typical French dip is sliced roast beef, but this was a half inch slab of roast beef absolutely full of fat and gristle. This sandwich alone would have earned them a 1 star rating. But the waitress was awesome, the fries were good and the tuna sandwich didn't have raw onions, so they get 3 stars instead of one. I'll be back and give them another go, but I'll never order another steak product from them again. read more

Great service, cozy atmosphere, and good food! My husband and I came Christmas weekend and were warmly welcomed and attended to by multiple staff. Mr. Lebaron himself came around multiple times to make sure everyone was enjoying there food and had full glasses. Just a kind of service you don't see anymore. Our food came minutes after ordering - I got the "mini" combo and it was more than enough with plenty of leftovers. My husband got The Haystack and seemed to really enjoyed it. The hash browns and sausage were probably my favorite of what we tried. The biscuits were good and big too! The gravy is a sweeter gravy, not as savory as I prefer, but my husband liked it. Went to downtown Nampa to fill propane today and decided to stop somewhere for lunch. Pulled over to Yelp nearby restaurants and looked up and we were parked in front of LeBaron's We started to go in but noted that they closed at 2:00 and it was 1:58. We went in and asked if they were still serving and were informed that if we were inside before 2:00 they were serving us. After looking over the menu, I asked the waitress what was good and she said she liked the Ruben sandwich. It had caught my eye when I was reviewing the menu, so we decided to split one because it was so late. And "Boy were we not disappointed ". The food wasn't not good, country fried steak tasted like frozen and prebattered meat, the Gravy didn't taste homemade as well as terrible biscuits. My plate was a mini breakfast, 1/2 serving of hashbrowns that tasted burnt but didn't look that way and not seasoned, 1/2 biscuit, 1 egg cooked correctly, 1 bacon tasted bad and 1sausage was good. Family brings me to Nampa about twice a year and one of the highlights of visiting is getting to have breakfast here with the Brother. Don't be deceived by the odd name, this place is King of the Nampa breakfast scene. The restaurant is so cozy inside, dark colors surround the booths and tables in the entrance area, off to the right is another dining room, larger, but still cozy feeling. Usually upon entering you are greeted by a sign asking you to seat yourself. The menu is classic breakfast; omelets, eggs, the usual meats and griddle fare. However they do it so well! I've got to come here a few times now so I've tried a lot of the specialties and all of them are top notch. LeBarons also does lunch and dinner however I have only been here for breakfast so that's the basis of this review. This time around on the advice of The Brother I had the chicken fried steak, eggs over easy, hash browns and I upped the bread to corn bread. Here, you can do toast or a biscuit or a pancake, but for a little bit more you can have your own little loaf of corn bread. The chicken fried steak was perfect, dripping with sausage gravy, crispy and the meat was tender. They do an excellent hash brown, crispy enough but The Brother suggests ordering it extra crispy. The eggs were perfect. Now the corn bread is tricky, I'm not typically a fan of sweet corn bread, and this is, however I will say it complimented the meal. I neglected to ask about it. The Bro, he had the normal combo, eggs over medium, hash browns extra crispy, bacon and a pancake. A pancake you think, but oh, gentle reader, let me clue you in. The pancake hangs over the side of the plate, it is very thick. See, now you're worried that pancake is going to be rubbery and tough. You would have worried for nothing, it was perfect in every way. Thank goodness he was full so I got in on that pancake. You may never travel through Nampa, Idaho, but if you do this place is bookmark worthy. The staff had always been very friendly and attentive. The prices are excellent. The food comes out in reasonable time, it's not what I would call fast but this quality of food takes time and its worth the wait. read more

Been in four times, the first three with my family. We were seated, waited for 45 minutes+ and never so much as got a water. Every time we asked the waitress for water or to be served we were told "Be right with ya, hon!" and were promptly forgotten, did this three time for each 15 minute intervolve. Eventually left as we couldn't get service. The last attempt I went alone, waited ONE AND ONE HALF HOURS, was ignored each time I tried to order and finally left. Adorable hole in the wall spot with delicious homemade food! We passed this place on our way to the Nampa farmers market, and was so glad we stopped in! It says "seat yourself" when you walk in, but there was someone taking names and numbers of parties. Vivian was the one who greeted us when we walked in and boy did she know how to hustle! She was taking names and kicking butt! She quoted us 15-20 minutes but not even 5 minutes had passed before she sat us. It was a nice pleasant surprise. I love looking at everyone's food that people around me order. They have massive cinnamon rolls here that looked so tasty! Their servings are massive, definitely enough to share! We got the pot roast and le baron sandwich. The pot roast was tender and falling apart, the mashed potatoes were freshly homemade and the gravy was flavorful and thick. Also, we had to order the signature cinnamon roll, which, when it came, made our eyes pop out. HUGE is an understatement. I ended up taking most of it home to snack on it during the rest of the day.
