The place has a buffet and a regilar menu. I came in recently with a couple of friends who got the buffet, and they said it had a few decent options. I got a single patty burger, with bacon. Pretty good, nice charred edges. The highlight is probably the service. Everyone there makes their guests feel at home. Always ready to serve, and so friendly. I hope to come back soon.

Located in a strip mall left of the Food Lion strip mall. Great views of Pilot Mountain. (get a pic early, as you might have a van with ladders blocking the view) great farmhouse decor. friendly staff. 2 booths, 6 tables of 2, 2 bars that seat 12. smaller bar that seats 4. very open, cheery. 9 am. breakfast, no crowd. It's a breakfast and lunch place with a vast assortment of offerings. Breakfast was ok. Link sausage tasted as if not completely cooked. or gone bad. Grits watery, gritty, not the pudding texture we expected. Eggs tasted real, fresh. Toast is toast. Biscuits and sausage gravy were good, not too salty. hash browns are chunky, patties, or shredded. chunky is our :home fries". I'd eat here again to try their lunch fare.

I went with my family here and this is where the challenge is with two Yelpers in the house, we sometimes differ in our opinions. I thought this family owned business was very cute at the end of a strip center. The "view" of Pilot Mountain was there, but distant. The place was smaller but seemed to have enough seating and the service was friendly. The dish I got was three piece French toast with two eggs and four pieces of bacon and home fries...sort of for $7.99. The French toast was fairly good on a separate plate that helped keep it separate from the more savory items. The potatoes were not my favorite, they were like the square cut of potatoes O'Brien but with no peppers, so not the best but they could have been better with onions and peppers. Overall I felt it was a solid four stars, from price and content.

This place was very busy for its size and the food was great. The service was good and the feeling in the restaurant was comfortable.

As it turns out, P B Clark's is a restaurant the likes of which you'll see in or near most small towns. Meat and 2 sides, lots of fish, somewhat worn interior, not super clean, wait staff who are regular people. I've seen it plenty of times and I generally like these places because they are predictable and serve good basic food. P B Clark's is no different. The girl who waited on us is young and has a sunny personality. Super nice and always available. We were also topped off by another nice girl, possibly another waitress or a food runner. I ordered the Friday special catfish with fries and hush puppies. I'm giving this review a 4-star because of the staff and the fish. Otherwise, it would be a three star. The catfish had a ton of flavor and needed nothing for a frozen, breaded, deep fried catfish filet. The hushpuppies were bland, the fries were slightly undercooked and needed salt. My friend had a burger which appeared to be good. Would I go back? Yes, I would.

I had called ahead and asked when a good time on Saturday to arrive for a group our size. They shared that breakfast was the busiest time but if we arrived after 11:30 we shouldn't have any problem. These folks know their business, they were spot on! We pulled a few tables together. Our server was extraordinarily patient as our group trickled in arriving in King from Winston-Salem. I think she was very much surprised when 10 out of the 12 us ordered hot dog plates. We started with an order of buffalo chips and they were very much enjoyed along with the ranch they were served with. I think we all enjoyed our hot dogs (mine with chili, mustard, and onions, was great). We had a variety of sides and people spoke highly of the fried okra, banana pudding, sweet potato casserole, and fries. I'd definitely return to P.B. Clarks!

And spotted its iconic small red building (absolutely charming). Just one look and you're curious... we walk inside. We had a German Shepherd with us. I walked in and asked if we could sit with our dog in the outdoor seating. Greeted with an enthusiastic, "Hey Amigo!" I was caught off guard but just knew immediately it was going to be a GOATED local spot. Outdoor seating was exceptional! Nice, cozy and simple - nothing more, nothing less. I ordered the Birria Taco dish. Plated perfectly, cooked to order, taste? Phenomenal simply. The beef was so tender, the consomé soaked perfectly and complemented not only the tacos, but the rice and beans served with it. Pure cinema. Service was fast. The guy that greeted me earlier? Yeah, he was serving too and he had everything locked in. What a guy! I imagine the back of house staff are all stellar people too - complements to the chef and team. You guys are awesome. The thing that did it for us was the small free dessert. I don't exactly know the name of it but... FREE? Perfect for the two of us real quick before we left. If you see this little gem on your map. Go there expeditiously and enjoy the little things. Perfect everything.

The wait staff was readily available for us all the time, and friendly too. I ordered the steak nachos supreme, which I have to say were pretty good. The guac was tasty and the steak bits were plentiful. They used the typical queso, white cheese, very liquid on the hot plate. It covers things in a layer and tastes good. My friend ordered tacos al pastor. Tasty, says he. Overall, it is decent food, and I'd come back.
