Breakfast is my favorite meal any time of the day so I was excited to see this restaurant open last year. We have been here several times and no complaints. The food is good and the menu is pretty diverse. I really like how they do kids meals: they offer single items that the kids can choose a combination of rather than a pre-set meal. read more

Been here 3 times: the food is stupendous!!! It's a hit and miss with good waitresses, the first being awesome and full of information, the second being rude, snobbish, wearing sunglasses and treating us like we weren't wanted with her sneering and mean comments, and playing on her phone while walking around the restaurant and letting our food get cold (we could see it but had to wait for another waitress to tell our waitress so she was aware our food was ready!), the third, once again a sweet waitress who made us feel right at home. The previous experience with the horrible waitress made us not come for a looooong time!!! We're so happy we came back and I think the other waitress doesn't work here anymore, thankfully. I eat here every morning. It is clean, great food, friendly people. Michael, the owner, makes a point to stop by each table and greet you, solve any problems. Example of how they try to please: Albany is the "pecan capital of the world". Parent company wanted them to use pecans (as a topping - i get them on oatmeal along with fresh blueberries, strawberries and bananas) from New Mexico, which are dark and stale. I am in the pecan business and proposed to Michael to "buy local", use Georgia pecans, Elliott variety, the best tasting there is. He did so and I've been getting them ever since. Example 2. I like my coffee a certain way. They prepare it that way for me, and bring me a whole pot - more if I ask. Menu is varied, and all good. Dawn, Tosha, Ashley and all the rest are all personable and friendly. 5 stars. A great addition to Albany! By the way. Travel here for work on a regular basis, usually a Waffle House guy wherever I am geographically for breakfast, but today I decided to hit up yelp and find something new. Walked in and took a seat at the bar. The place was clean and nice and it was obvious it was a spot the local frequent, a good sign. I was greeted on entry and when I sat they took my drink order immediately. Shortly after I ordered an omelette side of fruit and a side of bacon. It was out in short order. All was fresh and tasted great. One thing though is I would have preferred my bacon to be more done but I didn't specify so that's on me. Bacon is always a crapshoot. Why don't we start a referendum on bacon? I mean on the steak scale I want my bacon medium well (my steals medium rare), nobody ever asks how do you want your bacon? Bacon gets the shaft. Bacon is God's delicious treat but nobody ever asks about how do you want it cooked. So we need to demand to be asked about our bacon! This is America we want our bacon how we want it, with a big helpin of freedom to be asked how we want it cooked! Anyway all was spot on and delightful here. Food was good, service was excellent. 5/5 will surely make this my new breakfast spot when I'm in town! read more

Great food! Great service! Good value! I will be back. The omelettes are great and not greasy and the grits are what you expect in the South. A very nice presentation on the plate, hot, and plenty of it. I have eaten several entrees for breakfast and a cheeseburger for lunch on my 6 different times to eat. Always satisfied. The owner is friendly and involved. Bring friends and go often. If there is a line usually there is no waiting at the food bar in the back. read more

I had the build your omelette. It came exactly as ordered. I love a good omelette. I am picky, I admit it. I asked for fruit instead of potatoes. No problem. I asked for lemon for my water. No problem. Our server was wonderful. She was just so sweet. We were in town getting away from Hurricane Irma. We met other customers in our same situation and we ended up sitting and talking for the longest time. The staff was very understanding and did not try to rush us. Nice restaurant. My husband and I ate here 6-6-15. There were approximately 3 tables full here so we expected faster service but we didn't get that. It seemed our server was busy doing other things while other servers stood around and did nothing. I realize this isn't our server's fault but it was aggravating to see and deal with. I had pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The pancakes were over done. The eggs were good but not seasoned. Bacon was the only flavorful thing. My husband had the same but instead of pancakes, he had grits. He said we should have stayed home and made the food ourselves. It just wasn't anything special. Bland. The pros: server was friendly and the entire restaurant was very clean. I'll give it another try with and order something else. read more

My husband and I have been there twice in two weeks. The first time we sat at the bar & had a very pleasant experience. I love corned beef hash but I rarely order it at restaurants because I am usually disappointed. It was delicious!! The grits were creamy & the coffee was good. The waitress was very nice & attentive. My husband ordered a home fry scrambler & enjoyed it. Our second visit we sat at a table, again attentive waitress. This time I ordered the Greek omelet. YUMMY!!! The grits were runny this time though, unlike my first experience. My husband got the banana foster French toast with bacon & Loved it. It was sweet though :-). So we have had two nice experiences here. We will return. read more

Extremely disappointed! I had heard good things about this place and was excited to try it out. The only thing that was good was the coffee. The gravy that came with the biscuit and sausage was so thick and cold that it was inedible. The home-fries were mushy from whatever they were cooked in. The eggs tasted and appeared as if they were eggbeaters and not real eggs. All in all, I would not recommend this place and will not return. read more

This was our second time visiting eggs up. The first time we had an amazing server, the food was ok but the service we received overrode the food. Fast forward to our second time eating here.. our server was one of the worst we have ever had. There were two soups of the day (on our way out we saw what they were) before hand we asked our server what the soups were, her reply: 'tomato bisque and black bean with steak or somethin' we proceed to order, my husband orders the burger which is accompanied by your choice of side, my husband asks what does the potato salad have in it? Is it mayo based or mustard, again her reply: I don't know it's like regular potato salad with potatoes in it' -potato salad with potatoes in it!? Say it isn't so! When my husband received his dish the plate was dirty with dried old food on it. At that point my husband lost his appetite, I call our server over and tell her about the plate with dirty food on it and that my husband wouldn't be eating the meal and her response 'ok so what do you want me to do' take the plate for one, and two take it off of the bill and get your manager over here. Once the owner comes over he says that he's sorry and the cooks must have had something on his glove and touched the plate. Doubtful since there was multiple spots of dried crusty food on his plate. My husband is also in the restaurant business and was completely appalled that a plate of that matter would have even left the kitchen window with the food runner or expo examining the plate before hand. Had extremely high hopes for this new establishment. read more
