My new favorite breakfast place. Had seen these in South Carolina and glad they made it to FL. Family friendly atmosphere which is locally owned by people who care about their service and food. Breakfast and lunch menu has great variety and is not over priced. Fancy coffee and alcoholic beverages available if you are so inclined. Try the blueberry muffin with eggs. They cut the muffin in half and grill them to delicious perfection. read more

I had no issue with my meal however I was not served right away when I sat down and on top of that my food took a while. I was really ready to just leave but a waiter came to me eventually. My breakfast choice was a the crab cakes and scrambled eggs on top - food was very good. When it comes to eggs - I like mine a particular way, there was a little too much salt on the eggs (my only critic on food). However, the drive down New Hope Rd was very nice, very light traffic on a Saturday morning. Hey. So we tried the newest breakfast spot in Gastonia this morning. When you walk in there is a bit of confusion, no real place to wait, and the hostess seem to be flustered. Things are new so I hope that this gets better. We went at 9:15 on a Sunday, and got seated in about 5 minutes. The Hostess and waitress were all nice and helpful. After we were seated took about 1 minute to get our drinks ordered. They have coke products. I got the Red, White & Blue Waffles (with bacon) and my brother got the Chicken and waffles. After ordering the food took about 20 minutes to come out. Everything came out as we ordered and looked great. See pictures! We had to wait a few minutes before we could eat as our waitress didn't give us utensils. Because of this our food was just warm, which wasn't bad. Waffles were how I like them, not super fluffy and had a little crunch. Fruit on top of the RWB was fresh and tasted great. The chicken strips that come with the chicken and waffles were cooked perfectly, and tasted great. The only negative thing was the grits. Maybe because I couldn't eat them right away but they weren't hot. I got them with cheese and it was hard to get the slice melted with the grits just being warm. My boyfriend and I just moved to Gastonia and decided to come here for Saturday brunch. We ordered the avocado toast, eggs Benedict, and corned beef hash. The avocado toast basically had a whole jar of salsa poured on top of it. I was actually shocked that someone plated this and thought it was okay to serve. The corned beef hash looked like canned dog food. I didn't even want to taste it. The hollandaise on the eggs Benedict was curdled and lumpy. Everything was just bad. read more

Visited for the first time today and was fairly pleased. I ordered the steak and cheese omelet, hash browns and toast. The omelet was a bit greasy and was skimpy on the meat, the potatoes were perfectly seasoned and cooked. My daughter ordered the banana foster french toast and she said it was delicious my son ordered pancakes, turkey bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese and his only complaint was that the cheese was not scrambled into the eggs. When app tells you your food is ready at 1134 you arrive at 1145 and still waiting on an order of pancakes at 12:03 ridiculous. There should be a way to cancel the order through the app for poor services such as this. The host there are nice though and for the guest that were dinning in they tried to seat them as soon as possible. Definitely won't order Togo from this establishment again read more

Waited thirty minutes for a table then watched a group of 5 (same as our group) walk in and get seated immediately. Our name was very clearly the ONLY on their very visible list. Don't understand how when they don't offer call ahead seating or online reservations we would not get the next largest table available. Brought it to the wait staffs attention and they let us know we were waiting on a specific table to open up where we observed they just got their food. We left, ate here before (it's a chain) and the food isn't good enough to sit there getting skipped on the list while everyone else gets seated. Go to Mayworths, 5 minutes away, better service and local owned. read more

The food here was very good. The kitchen is fast and the ingredients taste fresh. Wait staff is great, including those that clean the tables. The hostesses are extremely unorganized and flustered. We've been here 4 or 5 times, and honestly, we really like it! The service staff is excellent, and the food is very good. They do close at 2pm, so it's breakfast or lunch. Any problems with your meal, just let them know, and they make it right. read more

Great place to get some great grub. Probably the best coffee I've ever had. The specials are made for everyone and it's hard to beat.

The main issue is the owner was very rude to her employees on every visit I have made, and has little to no patience for customers. This review is meant to assist not insult. We went there this morning and quite honestly it was the worst meal I've ever been served. I don't really want to go into detail however I think it will help the establishment to better focus on the areas that need improvement. 1) The hollandaise sauce was broke and ruined the eggs Benedict, some xanthium gum would help that however I'm not entirely sure that they used Canadian bacon, I think it might have been sandwich ham. 2) The avocado toast was not crispy just soggy and it was like nothing I've ever seen. It was smothered in caned salsa. I mean COVERED. 3) The corned beef hast was obviously canned and not a good quality. We are literally 2 bites each of the Beni and none of anything else. Wait we did eat the fruit. Now I don't want to be mean but the service wasn't that great either. It appeared as though they need better direction. I really feel bad about this review but I think they really need to know. It really is a shame because we had such higher hopes, it is a cute little place. I would love to speak to the owners about some changes I think would improve their establishment. Either way, I hope they can get a better cook and wish them the very best. Good luck. read more

There was a wait that accumulated around 10am but to be expected on a Sunday morning and didn't seem any crazier than a typical Sunday morning wait. Hector was our server and he was fantastic. My first 2 times here were great today not so much. We were seated at a table that needed to be wiped down. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful we order and waited for our food. That potatoes were cold and tasted off like either cooking gas or freezer burn. Out toast was cold and not buttered (we asked that it be well buttered) the manager made us new toast and new hot potatoes. But that's not great after you finish the rest of your meal. I had been so looking forward to going here again and was sadly disappointed. The manager did offer to take something off the bill but you can't tell if that was done. The restaurant is new in Gastonia and I'm so glad it's here. It gives everyone a chance to try something different instead of Cracker Barrel and IHOP. It's family friendly and also community friendly. It has a room that you have small events in over breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, there is always plenty on your plate. They have the best omelets! Everyone is super friendly. My favorite person is Messiah! She's always willing to help you as soon as you walk in the door. She's a great greeter. Everyone is very nice. read more

Well, I see a few negative comments so I might have caught it on a good day but I had the Eggs Bennie with corned beef hash and I completely enjoyed it. Service was prompt and courteous and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. The sauce was the correct consistency and the flavor was exactly as it should be. Was good when they opened but service is ridiculously slow now, even with minimal customers. Waffle was as hard as a rock and instead of taking it off our bill we were given a coupon for the next visit. Too bad they couldn't maintain their momentum from opening. The Eggs Up in Gastonia needs to get their act together! Their food is pretty good, BUT THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! I called to place a to go order and was asked to hold. My call then got dropped. I called back and was asked to hold again. This time I waited 10 minutes and NO ONE ever came back on the phone to take my order! I tried calling again, and the line was busy because they left it off the hook from never coming back to my 2nd phone call! We rode to Eggs Up and placed our order. We told them about what happened and asked to speak to a manager. We were told he "wasn't available" and received a half-hearted "I apologize". This is not the first time this has happened! There's no excuse for this! Gastonia needs more (and better) restaurants that serve breakfast! I had high hopes for Eggs Up but it disappoints time and time again! And they've been open long enough now that they should be running like a "well oiled machine"! read more
