I'm giving this place one star for the following reason. We were in town August 21 - 23 for some baseball games at CaroMont Park. We asked some friends for recommendations of places to eat. Your restaurant was one of the names they gave us and said they really thought we would enjoy it. We checked it out on-line only to find out it wasn't open on SATURDAY's!!!` SERIOUSLY??? `REALLY??? WHY??? In looking at all the pictures on-line, it appears to be a nice, clean, fine dining establishment. I would think Saturday's would be one of your busiest days. I've often heard of restaurants being closed on Sundays and Mondays, but never on Saturdays! Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect based on the outside...but this place is true "don't just a book by its cover" place! We came in for dinner, and it reminded me of a good Jersey diner. Soup of the day, menu with something for everyone, and no frills set up. Everything we had was delicious. I got the Monday special of sirloin steak, and it came with 2 sides and the soup. Everything was fresh, flavorful and brought me back to my childhood - From the simple stewed cabbage to pickled beets. My husband enjoyed his cheesesteak and my kids crushed their dinners. The worst spaghetti and meatballs I've ever tasted. The (meat) sauce was just weird looking. It was ground so fine it looked more like canned chili. Tasted like it too. It was so spicy and bad tasting that I had to send it back. The two meatballs were tasteless and tough. The manager was so insulted that we didn't like this mess, that he was a real jerk about it. This $2.00 plate of yuck cost $20.00! He tried to make me pay half because I had eaten a few bites. How else do you know how something tastes unless you eat some? DUH! Their food is always hit and miss and they upcharge for any changes,if you want garlic bread with your "Italian" it's an upcharge,if you want onion rings instead of fries with a sandwich it's an upcharge! Went there 4/9/26 and took a friend after bragging to her about the food . I was so embarrassed, I got the chopped steak and it was absolutely terrible form of processed meat., she got the Virginia ham and could hardly chew it. I wanted to complain but she asked me not to. I always get the spaghetti and meatballs in meat sauce. Best spaghetti I have ever had. The chicken and rice soup is good also. My sister and mother use to eat here many time a month. As we were waiting another group came in and the hostess began to gather menus to seat them. So my spouse approached her to inform her we had been waiting quite a while to be seated. My husband and I have been here a few times. We even took another couple out to dinner here. The food is always good, the waitresses very personable and attentive. Busy on a weekday (holiday week) morning and only two waitresses working plus a woman who might have been the manager/owner. I'd expect the food to take a bit when it's like this and it did. Service was slow as well, because these gals were trying hard but not able to keep up with the turnover in tables. As well, the kitchen had issues coordinating breakfasts with toast. In some operations, this is the waitstaff who do toasting so maybe they dropped it. When you're halfway through your omelet before the toast arrives, and you've just seen the table next to you have the same problem, that's an issue. The omelet was great, the home fries were a little too buttered for me, and the toast (once it arrived) was good. Can't beat the price. The floor at Georgio's restaurant in Cramerton NC was dirty. I was charged 2.50 for mushrooms on my steak and cheese sub with fries takeout was a whopping 17.50 it was greasy but ok. It would have been good if I was told before hand one extra item was 2.50. I was asked to leave a tip also on my to go order. I have been their before it's been a while. The staff is mostly rude and inattentive and down right ugly. I will remember this trip. My advice eat dine in or take out elsewhere. read more

This is a great family owned Greek restaurant. They have been serving great good with excellent service for many years. I've not been here for years but met up with some family and friends and six of us had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They have a great menu with plenty of Greek & Italian selections. They also have specials every day of the week. The grilled pork chops and grilled chicken tenders are great specials and you get two sides, plus bread and soup! At later dinner on a Friday night... the place was very dirty (floors), but I figured they must have had a heck of an earlier service, so I was encouraged that they have a good following. I ordered fried flounder and french fries, with a side of slaw. The fish was fishy and the batter was so hard, I could't cut it with my fork!!! The fries were fishy, too! EW! Hubby got chicken and dumplings. It was salty and slimy with very little chicken (both in quantity and size of chunks, they weren't chunks, really). Son got a giant burger, and it satisfied him. I tried a bite, it seemed like a GFS frozen patty, to accompany his GFS french fries. Overall impression, this is a re-heat and serve place, which is how they can offer the cheap pricing that they do... not that they buy wholesome fresh base items, that aren't expensive to begin with, and cook those. Drenched in grease and salt-- it resembled more of sausage than kebab meat. They didn't even have spanakopita, which is as traditional as you can get! Looks like another restaurant has decided to take advantage of people! I ordered Beef Tips over Rice and i got Beef Tips mixed up in Rice, I guess they were running low so they came up with a way to disguise it, My wife got pork chops which tasted very strange. This happened about 5:30 9/13/2022. It will be a long time we eat there again maybe never. They may wind up like Grits & Greens if they keep this practice up. Like if they were short on rice they would just put some uncooked rice with the cooked rice and hope no one could tell the difference. It took them over 30 minutes to cook breakfast. Rude service! Went in today for breakfast and the waitress got my drink order wrong and my food order as well. Argued that egg didn't come on the sandwich when it plainly says on the menu it does. Supposed owners wife came over to ask how my service was an I told her what all had happened and she started arguing with me saying that her waitress was a good one and just made honest mistakes. She said the customer isn't always right and was arguing with me in front of other customers eating in the restaurant. Will never be back!!! Rude staff! Horrible service!!! Pretty good I'd have to say. The Mac n Cheese is crazy good, the biscuits are decent, and the hamburger steak that I got on my second visit was to die for. My first visit was nice, and the food was good but the pork chops were boneless, and was ran through a tenderizer. It had the veil cutlets treatment. It was decent, but nothing like bone-in. Used to be great food and a quick turn around. Last time I ate there it took 45 min to get breakfast, after waiting at least 10 min to even be spoken to by a waitress. My father and I had omelets which were good, however, my nephew had pancakes which were still raw. The waitress and cashier were both told of the long wait and the food quality issues, and their response was to ask "well did you let us make it again". I told them that we did not want to wait another hour for food so my nephew ate around the raw parts. Both employees stared blankly then uttered an impassionate "sorry"....no explanation or concern was shown, and no bill adjustment was offered. I understand we did not let them make new food but mostly untouched and raw food should have been addressed. The Gastonia/Belmont area has tons of breakfast places (2 waffle houses within 10 min)...my suggestion is spend your time and money at another establishment that actually acts like they want your business. read more

Tonight my wife and I ordered takeout from Georgios. I called and they kept me on hold for 7 minutes. They took my order and said it would be ready in 30 minutes (the previous manager would have had it ready in 15 minutes). When I arrived to pick up the order, there were tables not bussed, empty sections closed off and 5 people waiting for orders. The most shocking thing was their sanitation grade was an 88. That would have never happened when Angelo was running the restaurant. The dad needs to leave the business, bring Angelo back and stay the heck out of the business. I ordered the country steak with gravy, corn, and cream potatoes. My meat was slightly warm which was problematic for me because I prefer my food hot. I ate quickly since it was not hot; however, my cream potatoes and corn were steaming. The corn and potatoes tasted like they were both from the same can, and the cornbread muffins were hard and cold too. Now, my mother ordered a chicken cheese steak, french fires, and fried okra. Her food was soooo good. The chicken was season to perfection with the onions, peppers, and cheese. Her fries were hot (you can't mess up fries), and the okra was breaded with the necessary amount of bread, the okra was fresh and the lemonade was the best Country Time I have had in a while. We have been going to Georgio's for years but had not visited in several months due to health issues. We decided to go back this past Thursday as I remembered they had Meatloaf as one of theIr Thursday specials. First the service was not very good as we seated ourselves and waited easily 10 minutes for someone to wait on us. I ordered the Meatloaf with two sides and tea. The tea tasted old and I told waitress and asked for a fresh glass. Same taste so I just sipped very little. I love Meatloaf but this was so dry and the ketchup I used from one of those red plastic bottles tasted awful!! No telling where that ketchup came from!! Not Heinz or Hunts for sure!! Our waitress was so non attentive and acted like she was in another world throughout our visit!! Bottom line, this is not the Georgio's I remembered and enjoyed!! And to top our visit off they are discontinuing SpotOn which we use at different locations for earning free entree's,etc. We will never return here after having such poor service and food!! read more
