Cherry cobbler and the best vanilla ice cream I've ever eaten
    Jim D.

I have been eating at this place for close to 20 years... It is my go-to place in the entire upstate for good comfort food... I usually get a 16 oz hamburger steak with sauteed mushrooms and peppers... The french fries always come out perfect... The hamburger steak is always great.. they have really good sweet tea... And I love the cobbler and the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had... I drive 12 miles each way and I would drive 40 miles each way I had to... That's how good the food is...

Not a bad place for a meat and three. Plus they have a drive thru! We ordered takeout food one night. We ordered one chili dog, country fried steak with green beans and mac, grilled chicken tenders with collard greens and green beans, and a peach cobbler. Hot dog was pretty good and it was my favorite thing we got. Just some good ol country food that you need every now and then!

Always good food and service! Never a wait to be seated and they have specials. Their cobblers are amazing!!!!

Just your average breakfast spot. We seated ourselves and it took a little while to get menus. Food came out as ordered and was good, but nothing special. Service was good and inside was clean. We'd go back if we were hungry and in the area, but not worth going out of way for.

1 Meat and 3 Vegetables - macaroni cooked to mush, cole slaw shredded to oblivion, steak and mashed potatoes were mediocre. 2/5 stars.

I'm gonna keep this one pretty short and sweet. I do not recommend this restaurant. Mac cheese baked to oblivion overcooked. What all was edible was decent at best. Mashed potatoes were not bad. Fries were terrible. Cheesecake nearly made me cry it was so bad. Tasted like a jello no bake cheesecake. Cole slaw practically came out of a food processor left unattended. What is edible is mediocre at best. They seem very friendly though I took my order to go. The ambiance is your general small family restaurant place. Compare this place to many of the clock restaurants. Actually they may as well rename the place to the clock. In other words, keep it moving, for the price you can get better elsewhere, though they may have some hidden gems on the menu I haven't caught yet - though I won't be the one to try to keep looking for them.

The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. There wasn't much of a wait. It was a very pleasant experience. I will be back.

Nice diner, with good service. Food is average for a local eatery. Breakfast was served hot and promptly. No complaints.

The spinach and artichoke dip I could eat a whole bowl of! It was really important to us that the food would be memorable, and they truly delivered. Beyond the food, Denise was incredibly kind and supportive throughout the process. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but she helped to calm my nerves and made everything feel manageable. We also appreciated how flexible and budget friendly they were. They offer a wide range of options whether you're looking for a plated meal or a buffet style set up, which made it easy to find something that fit our vision. The best part was we were sent home with a bag of food from our cocktail hour that we missed while taking pictures and an additional meal from our reception. Overall, such a great team to work with - professional, caring, and truly committed to making your day special. Highly recommend!!

The Clock has been here for over forty years. Longer than most marriages. Longer, certainly, than…read morethe one my parents had, which lasted closer to thirty years and ended, according to my father, because of a disagreement about a sectional sofa. As I pull into the parking lot, I think about how a place that has lasted this long makes everything else in town look a little "new." Inside, regulars shake hands across the dining room like it's Sunday after church. I can't keep a houseplant alive for six months, and these people have been coming back to this same place, to order the same food, for years. Chili cheeseburger after chili cheeseburger, building something between community and cardiology. Maybe that's loyalty. Maybe I'm just projecting. I look at the burger for a second before I eat it, the patty, the chili, the cheese, maybe onions, stacked up like it's been doing this exact thing since before I was born. It is genuinely, embarrassingly good, in the way things are good when they haven't been overthought. And it was delicious in spite of health value. If you're eating at The Clock for health value, I direct you to the salads with prejudice. The menu runs from salads, to tacos, to hot dogs to a meat and three (or for those in Greer, a meat and four), which is not a range you encounter often in a single establishment. It is the culinary equivalent of a man who says he can fix anything. You are skeptical, and then you watch him fix the thing, and you don't know whether to be impressed or slightly ashamed of your own limitations. Ask anyone around town and they'll tell you about roller skating car hops, late night gatherings after high school games, real ice cream milkshakes. Those stories aren't really about the food. They're about who they were when they ate it. I order the sweet tea. It arrives cold and correct. I'm certain my dentist has a handshake agreement with Jimmy that both will keep each other in business a long time. I will come back here, but not as often as I should. We all have our faults. The Clock has few.
