We come here often. Simple, yummy breakfast. It gets crowded on the weekends. This time I tried the chorizo dish which came with toast and potatoes and my husband had their biscuits and gravy. We've never had anything we didn't like from here.

    Kids menu as of 10/9/22.

Eggs Up Grill is a classic breakfast diner. Even with lines to get it, they move the food and tables quickly and efficiently and delicious morning food (regardless of time of day.) Affordable spot when you don't want to be a short order cook in your home.

Typical breakfast restaurant. Sunday morning was a really busy time, we waited probably 25 minutes and were seated at the counter which was fun. They had chairs instead of stools, so that was nice! Our server was really nice, and quick! The food was just average which I was fine with, I just wanted a very basic breakfast. But I was disappointed with the home fries, they weren't hot when I got them and they were "grilled" but just kinda tasted like they were boiled and had some seasoning thrown on them. I usually prefer fried or actually grilled, so those were a disappointment.. everything else was fine though. I'd come back for a simple breakfast but would skip the home fries.

    Hilarious

Please consider splurging for the 2nd piece of bread for the kids grilled cheese. I'd be mad if I could stop laughing. We used to love eating here, but lately the number of corners cut have made this location a non-option.

First, it was so busy we had to be sat in the back where we feel is somewhat overlooked. We were sat quickly and after a little wait the server came over for our drinks. I politely said I would like a coffee and were ready to order. She says "I can take your drink order" (2x). She then went to another table to greet them and within 30 seconds of her walking away - they had left. My guess it was for the same reason. Customers who come here usually know what they want. Making them wait makes little sense. When she did finally return it couldn't have taken more than 2-3 minutes for us to order. Then she came with the check and couldn't take our card saying "I'll be right back". I'm not sure I understand how this is very productive. Overall food was good. Service was sub-par. Sorry Ariana.

North St. based on the 4.5 Yelp rating. What's going on here? Are these reviews being artificially boosted? I genuinely had to look at my phone to make sure I'd come to the right place based on expectations vs. reality. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and chicken. The chicken was a had an odd mushy/spongy texture -- a couple of tenders unceremoniously dropped on the plate and nothing like in any of the marketing photos -- and the gravy was not very flavorful at all. Someone else in my party got the chicken and waffles -- their chicken was better than mine, but still completely unimpressive. I also have to say, unfortunately, that the staff is not on their game. We had communication problems with the person taking our order, and the self-bussing area was overflowing with dirty forks and plates. This is a corporate slop establishment, and Greenville has at least a dozen breakfast spots, especially locally-owned ones, that are miles better than this. I regret not looking a bit harder for a better local spot.

I went at 11am on a Sunday during peak church hours and though we have 15 reservations ahead of us, we only waited for 20 minutes or so, The food is really good. My friend thought her omelette and potatoes were great. The blueberry waffles I thought were good. Nothing special to say, but it's hard to mess up waffles in my opinion and Stax Omega sure didn't miss. I love consistently and Stax Omega is a great consistent and clean diner. If you are looking for a place to take the family to, especially when the grandparents are involved, this is a great option. The only thing that I would change is the waiting area and being limited to only checking in through their tablet. There should be a way to check in without confirming at the tablet, to which there's always a crowd in front of.

Hubs had the meatballs (which the server said they only had two left...a friend nabbed the others) and other friends had the moules (mussels) frites and the braised short rib IIRC. The *.frites were the biggest hits. My filet was perfect, Sharon was raving about her mussels being the best she's had in ages. I had a bite of the meatballs, they were ok but people agreed there are better things on their menu. I love that the frites come with a choice of 3 out of about 10 different custom mayos (aiolis for the fancy-schmancy). I tried the curry, sriracha, and a fruity one I can't remember exactly what it was. I liked the fruity one the best and to my surprise, the curry the least (I usually love curry, but the balance was off). The sriracha mayo was too subtle for me, I slather sriracha mayo on my burgers regularly. I have no class. The frites were fresh cut and I enjoyed them but there were far more than I could eat on my plate, and sadly frites don't keep. They have my favorite super sweet Lindemann's framboise lambic on tap; I've only ever had it in bottles before, so that was a treat. My husband thinks I'm crazy to drink it because it is SO SWEET but I love it. So does Sharon, and clearly we're not alone or they wouldn't waste a tap on it :). It's beer for people who hate beer. (I resemble that remark. Maybe hate is a strong word. But in my 30s I realized I'd rather drink a soda than a beer, except for this one.) Desserts sounded good but we were too stuffed to order any. Next time I come, I may try the mussels, or I might just order that steak again.

It's in a basement that feels like a pleasant dungeon or a 1500's rogue tavern, you know, the kind in the movies where plots to overturn evil rulers are hatched. It is a unique vibe and after your meal, when emerging back onto the brightly lit street, it's akin to stepping out of a secret place and back into the light of day. The beer selection is impressive. This food is Belgian inspired. Hence the name being derived from a mix of Trappist Monks, trap doors, and a hidden underground enclave. Many of the beers have higher alcohol content, listed on the menu, be advised. The specialty is Moules Frites, mussels prepared in various broths and fries double fried in duck fat served with a flight of your choice of flavored mayonnaise such as wasabi, curry, truffle, sriracha, etc. Very good. Reservations are highly recommended. It was a busy Thursday at 6:30pm and the place was literally packed, even the bar. The two of us were seated in a large, dark, alcove booth fitting for six or perhaps even eight. We had a reservation, so the hostess said, "we may as well fill it" since it was that crowded. Being such, it was five minutes before we were noticed and placed our drink orders, another five before our water arrived and we ordered and about 30 minutes later to get our food. In between we were left to ourselves. The service was not negligent, but it was minimal and not really friendly either. It was a busy night, so we will have grace. But the mussels were delicious. We both had the Provincale, a rich, savory, Mediterranean sauce of tomatoes, garlic and white wine. Bourdain says "never order the mussels", in his Kitchen Confidential book, but here you are safe because they are very popular and the main feature. I've probably said this before and it is worth repeating, they need to up their crusty bread game. The broth is so good and the accompanying bread just doesn't lend itself to bringing the dish to another level, but it could were it better bread. This is a solid and must do restaurant experience when visiting Greenville. It arguably should be the "one" restaurant you must visit in town because of its unique ambiance and unique food & beverage.
