Another example of a review I've written before but mysteriously yelp has deleted it for some reason. So I'll keep it short (for me). We did not realize this is a chain which isn't a problem in and of itself however, it's rare that chain breakfast restaurants are worth our money or time. In this case we felt they missed on every possible opportunity. Service was sketchy, we had to ask them to take our order, remind them four times for an item they kept forgetting to bring out, they burned one item, served it anyway and the waitress apologized. When she should have simply not served it at all. If I was the manager I would have been ashamed of what came out but if our orders were typical they may simply be used to being mediocre. We were in mid week and there were not a lot of customers. So we were surprised that they had run out of several things on the menu. That's simply bad management, they could have gone next door to the grocery store and bought the missing items. I had a sandwich which was just ordinary bread with almost no meat, and two small pieces of wilted leafy greens that did not even cover 1/4 of the sandwich. And this was the special. It was dry, over priced, and there was nothing on it, I mean nothing but a single bite of meat. Then getting some things wrong that a breakfast joint should do really well left us both thinking we won't come back. For example the scrambled eggs were terrible, how does a restaurant good up scrambled eggs? Literally anywhere does a better job. This is basically a Denny's with a smaller menu and lower quality. Skip this place and find an ihop or Metro diner with both just a little down the street.

Took my oldest grandchild on a date. She ordered an adult entree and devoured it! She thoroughly enjoyed the creme brulee pancakes, and she usually does not enjoy overly sweet items. She already cooks for herself and her siblings and tends to be quite discerning. Eggs Up Grill is always clean, and the staff appear happy. Our server was a delight. I'm sorry, I don't remember her name

My fiance and I went this morning for the first time. The waitress was a big help when asked about menu items. The ambiance was oddly quiet. It felt like it was "missing something". My fiancé says the steak and eggs platter was predictable. He could taste that his eggs were cooked in close proximity of the crab cakes. I enjoyed my egg scramble with the crab cakes. It was tasty and not overloaded with hollidaise sauce. Also, worth taking in a to-go box! We will be back!

First if all, loved having Lark as our server. Thanks for taking good care of us! Do yourself a favor and try the strawberry and creme little donuts as an appetizer! So yummy! This is a cute restaurant with friendly staff. I had the Berry and banana pancakes. Not as yummy looking as the menu pic. The pancakes are fluffy and tender.

They are a bit hidden and I think still not known well enough. They should be. The place was clean. It has 80s kinda diner feel. To me anyway. The staff was great from start to finish. The food was great. It was seasoned well and all cooked nicely. It came to the table hot and pretty fast. Well definitely be back. Stay the way you are and don't change pls.

Service was a 10 what a wonderful experience and a new cool spot in Jacksonville for brunch!! I had the founders hash Benedict and it didn't disappoint at all! So good the hollandaise sauce was not overpowering and was good tasting. The home fry bowl was packed with bacon as you can tell!! Apple pie pancakes so good! Super cute meeting room! Outdoor seating! I hope they have much success here!

The look of the building must mean more than the quality of the food. Our waitress kept saying "everything's fresh" this is a more expensive dennys. The quality of the food was so bad! was it bad, I'd take myself to Waffle House the foods better and the service is better

The service of this place is NEXT LEVEL. Everyone was engaged and happy, what anyone would want to expect at any restaurant. The vibe of the place was very breakfast (of course) nice hole in wall type diner feel. I seen people from all walks of life. The place is expensive for what they provide, id say on the higher side. I ordered the country fried steak, I'm a fan of them and have to try them anytime they are on the menu. The main part (country fried steak) was so so, it had like a fish tasting breading, like what you would expect on deep fried fish- may be the oil they use. The portion was really sad honestly, my 2 eggs were bigger. The eggs were perfectly cooked. If you want country fried steak drive another 10 mins and go to the kettle diner. If you like seasoned hash browns/home fries. This is the place! I fell in love with the home fries- a cajun seasoning- like you would find at a boil. Scrumptious. I originally didn't get my biscuits but when i mentioned it they brought them right out in mins. I tell you what, I'm glad i mentioned it. They are frozen when ordered, thawed out and when ordered they are buttered and cooked on the grill! Not an oven. They are more moist than most biscuits, but def a cant miss to try. The gravy was kind of a hit or miss depending on how you like yours, i like mine more gravy complimenting the sausage and this hit the mark. I wouldn't pass it up if i was in town but maybe get something other than the steak. Great place!

    Love the atmosphere

The best place to eat. The atmosphere the food and the service was amazing I definitely recommend this place. I definitely come back

When I saw Eggs Up Grill was coming to Jacksonville we were super excited!! The decor in this restaurant was super cute, bright, cheerful, with farmhouse decor. Super clean too. Walking in the front door we weren't sure what to do but one of the staff members hanging around the hostess stand took us quickly to our booth, and after a few minutes our waitress came over to take our drink order. I ordered the hot Cafe Mocha which I've order at other locations. It took it a while to come out but when it did come out it wasn't as hot as I expected and not as sweet as other locations. It was still pretty good tho! Next up the Croissant-Style Donuts came out and my husband and I were in heaven!! They were definitely my favorite part of the whole meal, melt in your mouth goodness. I ordered the Southern Bowl which I'd rate as a 7/10. The sausage, scrambled eggs w cheese, grits, and gravy were well seasoned and delicious. The first home fry I tried was perfection, followed by other bites of home fries that were hard and old tasting, like they had mixed yesterday's home fries with today's. My husband had the same experience with his home fries he had in his loaded home fry bowl. Maybe they were just having an off morning? Either way we will be back to give them another try!! It's so nice to have a new breakfast spot in Jacksonville!!

Open three days as of 9/5/24, and the kitchen is hopping.

I came in hungry, but didn't leave that way. Good food. Bright, clean, and brand spanking new. Only their 3rd day open, they were packed and warned me on entry that the kitchen was behind, and orders were coming out slowly, but I was in no hurry and thought the food was worth it, though the gentleman sitting beside me at the counter finally gave up and left. The 4-egg Texas Farmhouse Omelet was delicious and filling. My aging gringo stomach was a little worried about the jalapenos, but they were mild and did not disturb the force. The generous meal came with toast, and I added a side of cheese grits (that were just okay) and a coffee. Sorry. Was too hungry to get a picture but take my word, it was a generous meal! Looked good and was most satisfying, leaving me eager to try something on the lunch menu. Two days later, I went back, arriving at 1pm (an hour before scheduled closing time) to an equally or more packed house, and ordered a Turkey Avocado BLT, chose home fries for my side and added an iced latte. Again, I didn't leave hungry and thoroughly enjoyed the food. And hey, this time I have photographic evidence. See above or below or wherever those things are, but very satisfying in flavor and quantity, and not excessive at about $12 for the sandwich and side and $4 for the iced latte. Had I been in a rush, seeing the packed restaurant with some still waiting to be seated an hour before their 2PM scheduled closing time, I probably would have turned and left, but was able to take a seat at the counter with no waiting - well, no waiting to be seated anyway. It did take almost 50 minutes to get my food on this second visit and had I been in a rush, I might have been irritated, but thankfully I was not, and staff was universally welcoming and apologetic, and given how packed they were, how fast they were moving, and this being only their 5th day in operation, I wasn't. Give them a little time to work the kinks out. Those people were working HARD, and this locally owned franchise is a great addition to our breakfast and lunch options in Jacksonville. Highly recommend, but you might want to arrive well before noon for the time being.

The Breakfast bowl and Brunch Burger (my now favorite) were delicious! The ladies were all very satisfied with their meals.

A great perk for this place is free street parking right in front. The front entrance is in an old strip mall. The inside is well done. Plenty of seating throughout. There's a nice lounging area, outdoor seating, high top tables, large standard tables and a bar area. They have a fairly simple menu, but plenty of variety. They do offer alcohol, THC beverages, sodas, smoothies, and of course coffee. After a few minutes of looking over the menu we ordered a coupe of the artisan sandwiches, a couple coffees, and a slice of coconut cream cake! You order at the kiosk and they bring your food & beverages to you. After a nice wait (not too fast or long), our americano, latte, waters, The Rad sandwich, The Chrissy sandwich, with our sides of pasta and potato salad. The sandwiches were honestly the perfect size for us. Both sandwiches were great and the coffee was good. Initially I requested a red eye, but they were out of drip coffee. Not a big deal, the americano was good. The coconut cream cake was huge and delicious! Not sure, but I tasted a hint of amaretto, vanilla, and coconut. Delicious! Went well with the coffee! Although the cost was a little high, the quality of service, food and atmosphere compensated. We will definitely eat here again. Recommend giving Bistro 1940 a try.

It is connected to a gas station with plenty of parking options. It's located right off of Richlands Hwy in Rhodestown on the way to Richlands. The overall ambiance is casual. Plenty of table seating. Customer traffic was fairly consistent with orders at the counter and online orders for pickup. They have outside and inside seating. It's a fairly simple process. You find the corresponding brown bag for the sandwich you want. Mark what you want on your sandwich with a marker that's provided. Include your name at the bottom. You hand it off to the person behind the register and answer a couple of questions. Do you want fries or chips, a drink, or a milkshake. The milkshake was too thick to use a straw, so I took it home and ate it with a spoon. This visit, I had the large Wicked sandwich. The wife had a regular Italian. After a few minutes, our names were called. A large is a little much for me. Both sandwiches were good. We will dine here again.
