We came here for breakfast on our way back to Texas. The Yelp reviews were good so we drove 15 minutes out of the way to eat here. The food was good but the service wasn't. We felt unwelcomed. Our server never checked on us after our food was dropped off by other workers and when she would bring us stuff she would just sort of toss them on our table and walk off. When we asked for the check she did apologize and said they were short staffed and very busy. The server who was waiting on the table behind us (also very busy) was super sweet to the little old ladies she waited on. This place is located in a strip mall which provides several parking spaces. There is a host at the door to seat the customers. The food came out in a reasonable period from the order being placed. My recommendation is to make sure the waitress repeats the order before leaving the table (I ordered sausage links and the waitress gave me patties). Other than that small misunderstanding, everything was perfect. The grits are served in a small bowl (cup size) and are pretty tasty. The peach pancakes do not come with eggs unless you do it as a side order. The sweet tea is very good. The carry-out courtesy cup is pretty small. The omelet is medium size (not like ihop), but they are still good. If your passing through Myrtle Beach or a SC community member, I recommend you drop by and try the food. read more

This place threw me off a bit because it is in a strip mall. Yelp and parking lots never lie! The parking lot near the restaurant was pretty full for 10:30 on a Wednesday morning! When we arrived, we were seated quickly and our server came around immediately to take our drink orders. She came back promptly and asked if we were ready to order. The kids menu included 3 items and a drink for less than $6. All of the menu items were reasonable in price (between $6-8) for a decent amount of food. One thing that I found to be very cool and efficient was that our server was entering our orders on an iPad as we spoke. With that technology, the order was placed before she left the table - less room for error! Our food arrived quickly and by that time, the restaurant seemed to pick up even more than when we first walked in. Our food was delicious and I was tickled and impressed at the company logo on my waffle. Nice touch! The home fries were delicious once I added a little salt...not everyone can nail home fries. Our server was busy so I didn't mind that she didn't check in on every pass. Someone else noticed an empty drink and inquired if I needed a refill which was appreciated. The server was engaging and spent time chatting with my child, which most parents enjoy. Their kids menu had little games on it (word search and tic tac toe) and crayons which always helps to pass the time. We were traveling so I did use the restroom while I was there and found it to be clean and inviting. My child is a picky eater and he asked for a second round of sausage patties which surprised me! All I can say is wow. So worth the 15 minute drive away from our hotel on Myrtle Beach. As expected, the place was filled at 11am on a Wednesday, but we waited 5 minutes tops for a table. Our waitress was extremely friendly and personable, and service was fast. I ordered Eggs Benedict and couldn't have asked for a more perfectly cooked breakfast. The hollandaise was creamy and buttery, the English muffin was spongy and toasty, and the egg was rich and soft. My family unanimously agreed the experience was excellent. Well, I was hoping this would rival Another Broken Egg and except for the prices, it wasn't close. Bacon was greasy and undercooked. Link sausages were over cooked and hardened. My son and I both had it. it was cooked to perfection (I mean just right) fresh ingredients and full of flavor from the shrimp, peppers, and of course, the andouille sausage. That was the best omelette I've had in a while. Hubby went for the peach pancakes..Oh boy! They were yummy!! Again, full of flavor and perfectly cooked (we hate dry/rubbery pancakes!). So, yeah, I literally ate two breakfasts. The food looked so good as it passed us from different directions, I wanted a big sample. I ordered both and devoured both (regret later). But from everyone at our table, the food was phenomenal. To top that off, the prices were exceptionally reasonable. Heck, even the bathroom was clean.
