We were in the area shopping and came upon The Kitchen Table. This is a nice spot for breakfast or lunch and they had lots of specials. They had many sandwich selections and I opted for the turkey, bacon, avocado - this was on grilled sourdough but I subbed this out with lettuce. The Russian dressing was just right with the turkey and for a side I chose coleslaw. The bacon was crispy and the lettuce fresh. The others in my group loved their lunch too. One had a Philly cheesesteak and the other a chicken panini. I tried a bite of the Philly steak and it was delish. Service was great and we sat in a booth. We all enjoyed our lunch today. read more

Showed up here at 8:45 with a party of 11 for breakfast. Unfortunately, what was described on the sign was not so. We offered to sit separately, but they couldn't accommodate that. We offered to sit separately under three entirely different waiters, but they couldn't accommodate that. We were only given the option to sit on the patio, but chose not to (because it was extremely hot already). There was no one sitting on the patio, but there was a waitress for the patio that could have served our group ‍ They only serve breakfast and lunch, and the restaurant was barely half full, but they didn't have enough servers at almost 9 am. We were at the Kitchen Table on Dec 30. We tried to get into Blueberrys but it was over an hour wait for 2. The Kitchen table is the opposite of Blueberrys. Its down home. Like a diner at its core. Looks like a lot of locals. Food is tasty. I had eggs over easy crispy bacon and grits. My wife had French toast and bacon. Typical diner fare. Reasonable sized portions. Well prepared. Nothing pretentious. Blueberry's is trying to be hip with fancier food and unreasonably sized portions. The Kitchen table is open and bright inside. The decor is a bit dated but pleasant. Staff was amazing and pleasant and service was extremely fast. Coffee constantly refilled. Great place for breakfast and more reasonably priced than its neighbor in Barefoot. read more

Saw the sign with Boston Cream pancakes- drew us in. The pretty yellow plantation like exterior looks like the menu would be pricey- but it is not. Breakfast prices are below 10$ The inside is like a roomy Dennys. The inside is showing it wear-(could use new carpets and paint but with the prices so low - ‍ The wait staff are friendly and they appear to work well with each other. So now on to the pancakes- I was worried that they may be overly sweet but surprisingly they are a perfect balance and oh so delicious!!! My hubby's Eggs Benedict was perfect - the eggs were mesmerizingly enticing. I don't eat Benedict's but their looked delicious. But I found a gem in this unassuming spot called the Kitchen Table. Just a little north of Barefoot Landing, the breakfast here was exceptional. We've visited this restaurant a couple of times and each time the food has been ok, but the women's bathroom is not clean. This shows how they view cleanliness. The bathroom sink had so much hard water deposits on it you did not feel clean after washing your hands. It's a shame when the food and prices are good, but you don't go back because it isn't as clean as it should be. read more

This is the closest breakfast place to Barefoot resort. We usually look at Yelp reviews first. Glad I didn't or else I might not have given it a chance. Our party of four adults ate here three times over the week - breakfast twice and lunch once. Dishes included (breakfast) crab Benedict, fried green tomato Benedict, French toast, lemon - blueberry pancakes, strawberry waffles; (lunch) fried green tomato sandwich, turkey plate - all yummy! Pros: Tasty breakfast and lunch - better than food at a chain breakfast house Large parking lot Seated quickly Waited on promptly. Three different waiters were all super friendly. Nice view of the marsh I'm not sure if there's a new owner or manager or if the inside has been renovated. We sat outside twice and inside once. I didn't notice any falling tiles or smells. I have looked at the same tiles on the ceiling as they have nearly fallen down for years, keep wondering who will be under it when it finally falls.. The walls are looking grungy from years of certainly not being painted ...washed? It was the only place we ate at that didn't have WIFI. My coffee cup was the smallest one I have ever had, considering coffee an soda are the largest margin product they have to give small cups and then only 1 refill because there was no one doing it. The butter for our pancakes is in small, but real packages on the tables. The syrup sits on the table. What cemented our decisions to take it out of the places we will return to was nothing about the meal was better than a low average.
