This place had some great breakfast! I got the Southwestern Homefry plate and my wife got the oatmeal with fruit and a side of bacon. My platter was great (and massive!) I substituted bacon for the ham and it was very good. I think the cooks were trying to kill me with the insanely large portion they gave me! This place was a true gem! We arrived and were immediately seated! Our server Anchaya was so sweet and attentive! Our food came out very quickly. My husband and I both ordered the French toast, he the banana foster and I the regular cinnamon swirl along with "the classic" which came with grits, eggs, and sausage or bacon. I'll take it! -The pancake dishes will come with two pancakes. That sounds pretty "tiny", right? Well, the diameter is pretty large, and their pancakes are decently fluffy, so you should expect to find yourself having difficulty finishing two pancakes. Actually, not a single person finished all of their food on their plate. The food might seem minimal when it's first laid on your table, but honestly, the portions should definitely be more-than-enough for most people. -Decent amount of seating. It's a lot of tables with a couple booth options. Nothing feels too tightly packed, though. CONS: -My Bananas Foster Pancakes were served insanely hot. As-in, within a couple seconds of the waitress putting it on the table, all of the whipped cream had melted into a sloppy puddle that just flopped onto the table. They may want to take a bit to allow the pancakes to cool just a bit before putting on the whipped cream. -It seems there was a single, unisex bathroom for the whole restaurant. I Would Give Them 6 Stars If I Could. My wife and I were visiting from Atlanta and went to Eggs Up to grab some breakfast. This was one of the best dining experiences that I've had in a long time. Two things were outstanding: the food and the service. The Food: The food was fantastic. The whole menu looked super. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and it was truly a treat. It is served with a homemade cinnamon syrup that paired perfectly with the French Toast. Absolutely delicious!! My wife built her own omelet and enjoyed it greatly. My only regret is that I don't live in the Myrtle Beach area to eat at this restaurant more often. It will be the first place we stop next time we are in town. The Service: I have been to restaurants all over the world (literally on 6 of 7 continents) and have had some great service. Eggs Up is one place I can rank right there with the top restaurants. Jackie was our waitress and she truly made our dining experience one of a kind. She was incredibly charming, friendly and personable with a great knowledge of the items on the menu. It was like being welcomed into someone's home for dinner. She's a superstar. Hopefully she's in charge of training new people at the restaurant. This business and HOSTESS is a joke, been eating here since 2007and just ate here 2 days ago, couple years ago showed up and there was a wait, no problem, was told to check in online from then on, so never had a problem after that, now it doesn't matter.... Check in online and get to the door and the wonderful HOSTESS puts us to the back of the line! So a question for the management is... What do you want your customers to do? We tried this place because of good reviews we saw in Yelp. I were amazing how they can still afford an Ad on a billboard in front of the plaza. One we arrived, a waiter seated t us in the middle of the store away from every one else. The waiter was nice, but probably had a lot in her mind. She asked how the egg should be done when I requested Egg Benedict. I have so much in my mind too (who don't during pandemic). I went for healthy in their "Goodness Gracious" egg whites omelette and fruit with wheat toast. My husband went decadent with a big Texas Farmhouse omelet and homemade potatoes. It includes andouille sausage and jalapeños with gravy and chilies on top. Our food came quickly, fresh and hot! No frills no thrills just great food and great service. Everyone was really nice from the hostess to our server. It's a family-owned franchise and there's a summary on the back of the menu about the family as well as the restaurant. It lives up to everything it says. They try to keep things simple and they are also still involved with the menu items and operations and you can feel it. The menu was very simple (breakfast on the left, lunch on the right) but everything looked amazing. Both breakfast and lunch had very traditional American options. I only looked at the breakfast options because we were there for brunch and though my food was great it'd probably not be my first choice for lunch since there are just so many other amazing options. I got the Muffinwich which is a Thomas' English muffin with egg cheese, and cheese plus your choice of sausage, ham or diced bacon. There's also a choice between grits and home fries. I primarily chose this sandwich for the diced bacon because with diced instead of sliced bacon you're able to taste the bacon more in every bite. Maybe I'm overthinking it or maybe I'm just a genius! LOL. Though it wasn't thick sliced bacon it was all the really great quality. My wife had pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon and she really like her eggs. We've definitely become some egg snobs after mostly eating farm-to-table eggs. She liked her pancakes as well but she wanted more than 2 slices of bacon. No harm no foul as 2 slices is pretty common but 3 is like finding that extra chicken nugget or an onion ring in your fries . We will definitely make this one of our breakfast spots next time we're in Myrtle Beach. Room for improvement: 1. Offer a croissant sandwich option 2. Freshly squeezed orange juice would be nice 3. This restraunt is booming there were alot of people but we walked in and was able to be seated immediately. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the floor. There were straws, lids, crayons, napkins, and pieces of paper scattered around the restraunt floor. Again, this place is extremely busy so I know when they bust the tables it may be a bit hard to pick up things off the floor. Our waitress was very friendly. Our food came out fast. The veggie omelet... would not recommend. It has zero flavor. I don't think they used any seasoning at all. Even the ingredients just tasted like water. The home fries were very seasoned and the pancakes were your average pancakes. They do not have dairy free milk or creamer options - so if you are lactose intolerant or vegan, I would not recommend this restaurant. Took a family trip to Myrtle Beach last weekend and bookmarked this place for breakfast because of the excellent reviews. They are all well-deserved and then some. Eggs Up Grill is nothing special in terms of decor but it's well-kept and they're efficient. To say the service is excellent would be an understatement. It's downright amazing. I can't recall our waitress' name (Kim? She was tall, that I do remember) but my mother-in-law pulled her aside after breakfast and commended her service. Plus, the tips she gave us for finding a good spot on the beach were on the money. As for the food, our very complicated five orders were served with nary a hiccup. And it was delicious. My egg white omelette was delish, the sausage patties were delish (and I'm very particular about those), the home fries were delish, my father-in-law's pumpkin pancake was delish...even the toast was delish. This is just one of those times where the hype is well-deserved and I'm glad I bought into it. read more

We both had their classic eggs dish (2 eggs your way bacon or sausage home fried or grits, and toast. We also wanted to try the corn beef hash, as our waitress said it was very good. Breakfast did not a disappoint, except a bit pricey. We could have economized a bit and dropped the hash ($5.99 for a tiny portion), but even so, we spent over $27.00 (plus tip). Overall, I can make the same breakfast, same taste, same quality, at a much more reasonable price. While we both enjoyed our meals, we would never go back because of the price. They were diced new potatoes (or baby reds) that seemed to have been boiled and were underseasoned. Even with salt it just wasnt any better. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off day, but since we were here on vacation its pretty disappointing.
