First let me say that we rely on Yelp for determining where to eat while on the road. Most of the time the reviews are accurate and very helpful. Not so in this case. The best part of this place was the service. Our waitress was awesome! Attentive and kept an eye on our table even though the place was very busy. Now on to the worst part.... The food. I had one of the house specialties. Corned beef hash and eggs. Home fries with toast. The home fires were mush, the corned beef was burned and it appears that they put the beef, potatoes and onions in a grinder, made mush and then put it on the flat top and burned the heck out of it. Eggs were ordered over easy but came over medium. The toast was only buttered on two of the four pieces. My wife ordered avocado toast. I got the hash brown bowl with scrambled eggs... wow... every bite was delicious. They had freshly cut onions, peppers, and I think celery. I couldn't get enough of it... This is my favorite breakfast spot when I Myrtle Beach. I always go to the one on 38th because it's close to our vacation condo. My family and i have been coming here for years and the food never disappoints. The staff are always friendly and accommodating to any dietary needs. We haven't come in to Myrtle for a couple years so it was a nice surprise to see they updated the interior of f the restaurant. I was used to seeing the old look but this new look is very nice, more modern with clean lines and a sweet modern "farmhouse" style. The menu is also new but they've kept all the old favorites that they are known for and added some new dishes. The food is always presented cleanly, not a lot of extra grease on the plate. The food is slightly under seasoned which is perfect for those of us who watch salt and seasoning. There is plenty of salt and pepper and hot sauce on the table to season as you prefer. My eggs are always served exactly how I like them. They even have a glossary on the back of the menu so you know exactly how to tell them how you want your eggs cooked. Love this place. read more

Came in on a slow day, ordered my go-to breakfast standard, the eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes. Potatoes themselves are cooked good but could use some seasonings and flavors. All you can really taste is potato. Eggs Benedict here is one of the better ones from breakfast spots around. I also tried the order of biscuits and Gravy. Gravy was a good flavor blast, but overall not a huge fan of their biscuits. Not much texture to them, not fluffy, just kind of generic. Bright inside, with a good vibe and nice staff. We waited only a few minutes for a table and were helped immediately upon getting seated. The menu is quite large. We ended up getting a wide variety of food - avocado toast and eggs, founders hash and eggs, cinnamon swirl French toast. It was all good. The portions were on the smaller side, but were enough to fill you up without being overfull. The coffee and unsweetened tea were both filled regularly and they gave us to go cups! Wanted to get a simple breakfast before hitting the road to head home. First place we went had a 30 minute wait so decided to hit the second highest rated breakfast place on Yelp. We got eggs Benedict with corn beef hash and a veggie omelette. Both dishes came out quick (under 5 min). My eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked. The Hollandaise was a bit less flavorful than I'm used to but did the job. My wife enjoyed her omelette and they were able to make her bacon as crispy as she likes. Traveling from Myrtle Beach south we stumbled upon Egggs Up Grill. I had the founders hash and egg's with home fries and grits. My wife had an order of bacon egg's with home fries and grits. Service was great as was our server. Very friendly and guided us through our order as well as the ample number of checking in on us. They offer either or home fries/grits,but we opted for a little of both which is an option they have. Nice touch. Being from the north east I like to get grits when in the south. (when in Rome...)and also love home fries. Alas that's the reason for four stars,the grits were ok but that was disappointing. I would figure that they would be as good or better than everything else. Not. The home fries were great.! We left with a full stomach of tasty food. I found this hidden gem on Yelp when I was looking for a place for myself and two other families (11 people total) to dine after a soccer game on a Sunday Morning. When we arrived we were waiting for the other two families so I put our name in and asked if they could see 11 peopleIn the house quickly said yes and advised me there would be a 20-25 minute wait. About 10 minutes later he came and asked me if it would be OK if we set separately which I told him would be fine. I also told him at that time that they were six kids and five adults so if we could split it that way that would be the best. The young man was totally accommodating and got us two booths in about 15 minutes for all 11 people to sit. The adults scoped out the menu and we knew what we wanted before we got the table. The kids menu was a very pleasant surprise it was laid out in a very helpful and simple manner. Each kid picks 3 items from a list of breakfast foods for a set price. It made it very easy for the kids to order there food without the adults worrying about them ordering adult food. It also made it easy for our server (Michelle) to split our bill between the three families. After Michelle took our orders the first few plates were served almost immediately. It was so fast that we questioned whether it was actually our food or another table. Michelle did a great job and worked hard to ensure both the adults and kids had everything we needed. This is the first time in a few meals my 7 year old joined the clean plate club. My hash N eggs were served hot and were very tasty. The home fires were piled high and seasoned perfectly. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her southwest bowl until she got too full so I finished her food. No issues whatsoever with this meal. Everything that was ordered was enjoyed and devoured. Our Togo order had our utensils, ketchup, hot sauce and salt and pepper. We didn't even ask for the hot sauce, I even considered calling them to add it....I was impressed. Packed and sealed professionally. The only downside is that it was too much food. We could've easily gone without the extra order of biscuits and gravy. We couldn't even eat it. We also have the sausage biscuit leftover and the home fries. I added our leftover egg to the biscuit as well. Breakfast tomorrow is covered! So the downside is an upside for us. On a weekday morning Eggs Up Grill was packed, but the wait for a table was minimal. Upon being seated by the hostess, our waitress immediately greeted us and took our drink orders. She was pretty attentive throughout our meal, especially given the number of tables she had to serve. Appreciated having the sausage gravy on the side as opposed to smothered on my biscuit-which. I dipped my sandwich in there a few times, but it wasn't really for me. The french toast was pretty good. I liked how it wasn't overly sweet. Our waitress was rather kind and brought me some of their caramel syrup and homemade whipped cream. Both were really good. I thought the caramel syrup would be super sweet, but it wasn't. I opted to use this on my french toast rather the traditional syrup that was available on the table.
