On a weekday morning Eggs Up Grill was packed, but the wait for a table was minimal. Upon being seated by the hostess, our waitress immediately greeted us and took our drink orders. She was pretty attentive throughout our meal, especially given the number of tables she had to serve. The menu isn't too large (they serve breakfast and lunch), but everything sounds good so it might take you awhile to decide. I wanted something savory and sweet, so got the biscuit-wich and an ultimate french toast slice. Solid decision. The biscuit-wich came with a sausage patty, scrambled egg, and cheddar cheese. Loved how the biscuit was soft, fluffy, and not dense. The sausage patty and egg were cooked well, and pretty much covered the entire biscuit. Appreciated having the sausage gravy on the side as opposed to smothered on my biscuit-which. I dipped my sandwich in there a few times, but it wasn't really for me. The french toast was pretty good. I liked how it wasn't overly sweet. Our waitress was rather kind and brought me some of their caramel syrup and homemade whipped cream. Both were really good. I thought the caramel syrup would be super sweet, but it wasn't. I opted to use this on my french toast rather the traditional syrup that was available on the table. I also tried a bite of the buckwheat granola pancakes. Thought I wouldn't like it, but it was actually pretty good. My family and I wanted breakfast but I wanted no parts in cooking. We decided to order out and chose Eggs Up Grill to dine locally. We placed our order through door dash and everything went smoothly. Absolutely no complaints there. The food came hot. It look delicious. Was packaged well. But when it came down to taste. It was awful. At first we assumed the food had taken on the containers taste but the container had zero smell to even hint to a weird taste. The closest thing I could describe the taste to was maybe a burned plastic spatula. We attempted to power through it but ended up tossing the whole order. All 4 dishes had the odd taste. Not sure if the oil needs changed or what exactly caused it but I'm definitely disappointed I spent almost $60 to toss 90% of the food in the trash. read more

My review is about SERVICE not the food. We (2 people) arrived on a Thursday morning around 9:30 ish. When we got there the hostess told us there were no seats available and the wait time was going to be about an hour. We saw many empty tables at the restaurant and asked about it but she said they were reserved for customers who did a reservation online through Yelp. I walked outside and went on Yelp to do a reservation. It said a seat would be available in the next 10 minutes! I went back to the restaurant and she told me that the yellow reservation system was not accurate so I couldn't count on that. What?!?! Also a family of about three or four people walked in right after me and she told them a 30 minute wait. When I came back the second time she told me a 30 minute wait. All in all, we decided not to eat there. I loved that my son's kids meal came with a Mickey Mouse shaped pancake, which he really enjoyed. The portion was perfect for him and he even had food leftover to take with him. My husband and I both enjoyed the sweet potato prailine pancakes that came with a cinnamon syrup. The best part is that we actually ordered The Classic Breakfast and was able to sub our bread option for the pancakes, without charge! Can you believe that? Spot on Eggs Up with that option. Everything was good. Service was good and prompt. No complaints there. Cons: The bathroom is a mess. I didn't use it but I did go to wash my hands. In a food service establishment, I do believe that bathroom should be cleaned, feel clean and look clean. Think about it, the employees are using this bathrrom too and it was gross. I ordered the Southwest Horne Fries but added Andouille sausage for added flavor.... that didn't help because the meat in the dish was cut up way too small. All the food tasted pretty good. The service was fast but not very friendly. Our server Michelle didn't talk to us very much and only came over to the table once other than seating us & taking our order. I had to ask a different sever to get her so I could get another drink. Maybe she wasn't having a very good day or something. I wasn't having a very good morning either because I was missing home a little bit too much so maybe it was that on top of it. It only opens until 2pm so don't miss out! It's set up with booths on either side and tables in the middle with bar stools in the back to eat near the servers and cooking area. Service was great with a friendly and attentive server. The menu is split into breakfast on one page and lunch on the other page. When you consider the menu item you want, be aware they server LARGE portions! The Fry Platter was on a large oval dish piled high with their fries (I would call them oversized hash browns instead), ham and jalapenos. Really good taste and you'll need a wheelbarrow to get you out of the place! The Turkey-Berry Wrap was very good as well with strawberries mixed into the wrap and poppy seed dressing in a cup you can use to dip or pour. As mentioned earlier, their fries are basically oversized hash browns, but they really are good and seasoned. Definitely worth your time to try it out! The interior looked dark and cramped. I ended up ordering a Reuben sandwich to go and eating it at the beach. The place looks like a small diner but could use some sprucing up, carpets and decor. My sandwich was good but other items were average like the breakfast potatoes and hash etc. I wont likely return because the food wasn't memorable and I like the atmosphere and the food to be inviting when I dine. I ordered the Patty-o-Sullivan which was good. It didn't have salt in it. I added salt, pepper and lots of hot sauce ( I like it spicy). The omelette wasn't bad, but could have been better. The prices are affordable. It's busy during breakfast, so expect a 20-25 minute wait time. There is just one gender-neutral restroom. So be prepared for that as well.
