I'm a country gal who's lived in this area for 36+ years, shaking my head in dismay over the development. This place is a ray of sunshine! We've had breakfast several times and lunch twice, they never fail to impress. I've had the omlette with bacon, swiss, spinach and tomatoes with fresh avocado slices, french toast, biscuits and gravy - all extremely delicious! The chicken bacon melt for lunch is out of this world, with hand cut fries. YUM! The service is friendly and helpful, the place always clean. With owners who stop by to see how we like things, it's how things should be done by people who care. I see no reason to eat out any where else. read more

This was our first time to eat at this location. We walked in to a packed house, which was great. Very nice, but tight atmosphere. After a few minute wait, we were seated. Our waitress came over pretty quickly and asked for our drink order, I explained that it was our first time, so we'd need to know what was available since we hadn't had a chance to view the menu. We ordered our food pretty quickly... and that was ALL that happened quickly... my son and I both ordered their breakfast special which came with a very small glass of orange juice. During our wait for food, which was well over 30 minutes, my son and I completed our orange juice and most of our requested glasses of water. Our waitress did not come back to check on us or keep us posted on the status of our meal with such a long wait. I don't think the wait would've been so bad if we hadn't continued seeing other servers constantly bringing out food to their customers. When we finally got our food, it was barely warm, not smoking hot like many of the people around us who came after us but had food. Because we'd waited so long, I ordered a large orange juice to wash down the doughy pancakes. That small (large) cup of juice, not freshly squeezed was $4.50!!! Call me cheap, but that was a bit much. Anyhow the waitress asked us once was everything ok, then NEVER came back. I had to ask another server for to go boxes and the check. She came and sat the check on the table then walked away. All in all, the food was o.k... my 10 year old son said he expected hotter food for as long as we waited, and the service that I experienced today was subpar. Food is good, don't come with more than 4 people I used to love this place but today is my last visit. The hostess was absolutely horrible. Told us 15 mins for 6, 30 mins later tells me they don't have tables for 6. After I protested they split our group in different sections. Literally the worst experience I've ever had here. read more

We just moved to the Frisco/little elm area and this is seriously the best little cafe. The food is delicious. Managers/owners are visible and actually interacting other the customers. Food is Reasonably priced. The service is what really pushes the place over the top. Love love love this place. read more

It was ok. Wasn't bad and it wasn't great but it did its job. The waiting area was crowded which is also the same area where your trying to pay the cashier. I get that we were there during peak time but I just think it could've been better organized. You had a line where people were waiting to pay the cashier (since you don't pay the waiter) and a line where people were trying to come in to get a table. It was a cluster. My husband had the omelet and he didn't care for the slab of cheese that they used. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which was good and a side of French toast since I love French toast. Needless to say not a fan of their French toast. On the plus side staff was friendly. read more

This place is one of our favorite breakfast restaurants. Everyone is friendly and the manager always asks us how our food and service was. Place is clean. I haven't eaten anything that I didn't like. I went here with a friend for the first time. The food was great and the wait staff was excellent. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is they need some blinds on their windows to keep the sun from blinding you in the morning. In order to get a 5 it must be perfect. If you want a great breakfast and great service, this is the place. By the way, I like the waitresses because they have a great sense of humor and give you a little smack if you invite it. Awesome food. We went for breakfast and tried some of their specials. My hubby had the Biscuits and Gravy omelet - yes OMELET. I had the Avocado Benedict. We also had the seasonal Pumpkin pancakes. Everything was fresh, cooked just right, and delicious. The staff was kind and helpful. The place is clean, looks like a typical cafe with a little bit of decor but not too much. Just amazing. The atmosphere is so happy, and friendly, everyone feels like family. The service does not disappoint (Especially Tanicia - Sorry if I spelled it wrong) Nikki is also so sweet! The food is great, every time, no exceptions. Even the sides are put together with care. Presentation and food are always 10/10. Try the Very Berry pancakes or crepes- it's a must! Hubs also loves the Migas. And to top it all off- it's not expensive. We absolutely love this place and it will be our go to from now on. Deserving of every bit of five stars! read more

Update 11/04/17 - still terrible service, overpriced, and crappy food. I'm never trying this place again The only positive I have for this place is the service was decent, for the most part. They've got people walking around filling your coffee, but if you're drinking anything else, good luck. The food? Extremely disappointed. It's really not hard to get breakfast right, but these people are trying to make it hard. Ok. Wheat toast tasted like it was stale, butter was bitter, bacon was worse than the cheap stuff I pick up at Walmart. Biscuits? Tasted like frozen biscuits they heated, kind of like the Tennessee pride brand. Food is overpriced and not as good as Denny's. I highly recommend staying away. We stopped in the other day for lunch but were on a tight time schedule. Out of respect for the servers, we asked if it would be an issue if we asked for them to fast track our visit. They assured us that they would make sure that we would be able to get our order in right away and they would keep a close eye on it so that everything got to us as soon as possible. Exploring restaurants and saw the great reviews for breakfast/lunch at this place. It certainly is worth the visit! Very friendly staff, exceptional service from the minute we walked in and the menu has it all! Breakfast was served quickly and it was delicuous. Server, Shawn, was very thoughtful and his follow up was impecible. Even a nice touch that was genuine was that he heard me call my 2yr old by name and addressed her by her name as well when serving her Mickey Mouse Pancakes. It is a bit of drive for us in Plano, but the the quality of service, menu variety and impecible hospitality- we will be back and highly reccomend this great place for anyone looking for good food and service without ridiculous prices! read more

My family have enjoyed the El Dorado/423 location since they opened. We visit frequently, but have had to place orders to go the last few times because they are so busy now. Good news spreads fast. They deserve the business because the food is always amazing. The BEST omelettes I have ever had. They are massive.... The house salsa is very good also. Burgers are really good. Sooooo disappointed in our breakfast today. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy omelet, which the menu says they are famous for. The eggs had no flavor and the crumbled up biscuit inside was pretty dry. Instead of shredded cheese, they used a slice of imitation American cheese. The gravy which clearly wasn't scratch made was the only thing that had "some" flavor. My hash browns were also pretty bland. The side of pancakes came with no butter and a tiny cup of syrup. I ate about a third of the tasteless omelet, a few bites of the dry pancakes and two bites of the hash browns before I threw in the towel. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy and eggs. Her eggs never came. Our waiter isn't who delivered the food so that's our best guess on how the eggs never made it. Had he came to check on us, we could have asked about them, but that never happened. When he came to bring us the check, we let him know. He got a manager to take 2.00 off of the bill. It's 2.00, whatever. But even that wasn't done right. Rather than take 2.00 off, they should have removed her order completely and just charged us for a side of biscuits and gravy, because that's all she actually got. Little Elm is tough on restaurants and I will be very surprised if this place makes it long term. I know we won't be contributing to them any further. read more

My Denver omelet was delicious. Pancakes not so great. Thin and served cold. I don't believe they are made to order. I'm pretty sure they have a whole bunch ready to serve. Service from our waiter was good despite it being a really busy Saturday. We did have to wait 45 min to get a table for 2 so I'm not sure it was all worth it. Overall, I would give it another try if I don't have to get on another long wait list. read more

I went here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the large menu selections. I had a turkey wrap with okra. It was very good. The okra was hot & fresh. This was my second time eating here. I couldn't remember why I hadn't been back as I eat breakfast out frequently. I ordered a Bacado omelet and asked for the pancakes to be topped with chocolate chips for my granddaughter. They looked good when brought to table but as I cut them I remembered why I had not been back. Clearly the pancakes has been frozen and reheated in the microwave as the we're close to impossible to even cut. I remembered mentioning on my first visit and was in-fact told they do use frozen for "busy" times. Four tables equal busy. My omelet was good but avocado edges black from being exposed to air. My waitress was exceptional! I won't go back. I can do frozen pancakes at home. There are so many breakfast restaurants within a couple of miles I'll go to where things are fresh. read more

Instead of Eggsellent Cafe, it should be called Excellent Cafe! Marsha and the wait staff are always polite and provide the best customer service in town. I eat breakfast here at least 2 or 3 times a week because the food is so delicious and I enjoy the friendly atmosphere! We have our new favorite breakfast place. The food was amazing. As a family we all got different dishes and we all sampled each other's and there was not even one mediocre dish. They were all excellent. Every time we go out for breakfast in the future we will be going here. We also met one of the owners and because it was was birthday he gave me as a gift a bottle of their amazing homemade hot sauce. Great place. Highly recommended. read more
