The perfect breakfast spot! The food was cooked with love! My wife got the 4 x 2 which is eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. The eggs were so fluffy and good-looking with a great taste. The bacon was cooked to perfection with a nice crisp to it. The pancakes lacked the crunchy edges we prefer, but were still good. She even raved about the coffee. I got the break burrito which was stuffed with cheese, egg, and sausage. (Chef's kiss) Magnificently done. And my side of hashbrowns were crunchy and delightful. Fatima was a very attentive server despite it getting busy at one point. It's a very clean place with a calming atmosphere. My wife said that it was the best breakfast she's ever had. Good enough that she wants to break tradition of never eating somewhere twice while on vacation. She wants to go back tomorrow. Lol!

Came here on a very busy Sunday afternoon. The service wasn't that great. There was one table opened that was only semi clean that they tried to sit us at. We opted to wait for a different booth that would be cleaned fully before we sat down. There was an extensive menu but we didn't see any mimosas, bloody Marys, or any brunch drinks on their menu. It took a while for the food to come out and it wasn't that memorable. I am not sure if I will be back to this place. I am not sure if it was just a bad day or if this is their normal way of operating.

Modern Diner, I got a table fairly easy on a sunday. Our server was FANTASTIC. She had great energy severing everyone! Food is standard diner food with diner prices but in a nice and clean area. Blueberry Pancakes are pretty but nothing fantastic for me. Normal Pancakes were great. Fresh Orange juice is great. Chicken Fried Steak and mashed potatoes are bland. Not a place I would personally go back to. But if you just want standard eggs and pancakes, its great.

How many times do you wish a breakfast spot would ask how you want certain items prepared, like poached eggs, toast , bacon or hash browns. This attention to detail was awesome as Isabella made sure my eggs were to my liking (poached soft), my bacon was crispy and my daughter's hash browns were also crispy. Said daughter just moved nearby, so I'm sure we will be back! Cute and airy space with a little coffee bar at the front right. Peppermint lattes with oatmilk were wonderful on a chilly day. Food was amazing and service overall was also great, especially given it was a quiet weekday about 30 mins before closing.

We saw this spot earlier in the week and put it on the list to try since breakfast is awesome. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted in a very friendly manner. The restaurant was recently renovated for their opening so was nice and clean. Their menu is right in line with all the breakfast cafes in town and have all the favorites and they close early like all the other cafes as well. I went with the For Dad breakfast and upgraded to Strawberry pancakes. The strawberries were nice and fresh and i love whip cream so a good choice for me. A very solid choice for breakfast.

I had Father's Day breakfast here. The place was very clean and organized well. The staff were really nice, checking on you regularly. They even offered a coffee to go! I had the Mediterranean Omelet with fruit and sour dough toast. Everything was delicious filling you up without feeling stuffed. If you are in the vicinity in the morning take a chance and get breakfast here, I know you will be glad you did!

I wanted to drop in while it was still "new" and I was very happy I did. A little birdie told me that I should expect the same menu/interior as Starwood Cafe. Sorry, I've never been there but I enjoyed my experience here. Alex was my host and he never kept my daughter and I waiting. As far as "waiting" goes they did have a 5-10 minute wait for their guests who were waiting to be seated. No lounging outdoors for your wait. It wasn't a long wait so we didn't find it a problem today. They also only have one restroom stall for women and one restroom stall for men. I could tell from the other guests' smiles that they were also enjoying themselves. This establishment could easily seat 35-40 guests at its peak time. There's one seating area in the far back for a huge party of 8-10. No worries, tables can easily be placed together to accommodate larger parties. Hills Cafe-Austin Ranch serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and smoothies that are all so surprisingly, reasonably priced. You get a lot for what you pay in 2022! Ample staff, nice smiles, clean tables, clean floors, clean restrooms, and CLEAN WRAPPED UTENSILS!!! Been meaning to check this place out since it opened 1-2 months back. Just came in here for breakfast with the fam and it was excellent!! We were the first ones there at around 8:20 and my 9am it was hopping. Ambience: modern and clean Service: everyone was super attentive and friendly. Passed my water refill test with flying colors! Food: I'll caveat this by saying that I'm not typically a big breakfast fan as I just generally prefer savory over sweet. They serve breakfast and lunch all day so it should be able to handle everyone's preferences. Also portion sizes and price are reasonable. + Southwest Skillet: I was totally expecting to just order a lunch item while the fam ordered breakfast, but instead decided to try the southwest skillet based on the waitress's recommendation. It...was... Awesome! Savory brisket chunks, jalapeno spice, creamy avocado, and paired with over easy eggs... It worked way better than I was expecting! Came with a side of pancakes which were fluffy and perfect too! + Corned beef hash and eggs: standard yum goodness. Got sides of grits and hash which were yum too + Berry crepe: good flavor and portions. Overall, very pleased and definitely still be coming back as it's solid food, spectacular service, and close by. Highly recommend!

The hills blueberry speciality pancakes as a side. Bacon was crisp to perfection if you like crispy bacon.

The servers and food…read moreare good, but we have had some recent issues as a result of the new general manager, who is very sloppy and unqualified at his job, which is why we left upset and took our business elsewhere the other day. We went in on a Sunday afternoon so it was not too busy at the time. My girlfriend and I like to be seated at a "low top" because she has back issues with climbing up into higher seating. We don't mind waiting for that as inside "low tops" are limited. The hostess was very nice, as they always are. She took us to the middle of the venue to seat us and then walked away while we were waiting on our server. I stood up to walk around the table so that I could sit next to her instead of across from her. She stood up to move over and pulled out the chair next to her so she could sit back down. At that moment the new general manager walked up, and without offering any explaination, took the chair out of my girlfriend's hand and said, "We need this table for another party." He walked away and left us standing there without offering us another solution, and apology or calling the hostess over to seat us elsewhere. We were left standing there dumbfounded and looking around unsure of what to do. We started walking back toward the front of the venue as we spotted another open "low top" near there. At that same time the female hostess saw what had happened to us, and she started to walk toward us. Meanwhile, another male server - acting as host - seated some people at the new table we were about to get to with the hostess. We got mad and said, "it feels like someone is playing a game on us!" The hostess apologized as she could see we were aggitated. It was not her fault, and we do not blame her. We blame the rudeness of the general manager. We left to go eat somewhere else. This is not the first incident with this general manager, though. A few days prior, we were eating in there and had a good vantage point of one of the side kitchen entries off to the left of the bar toward the ffront half of the venue. A bus boy sloshed water all over the floor while moving wet dishes in a container back into the kitchen. He didn't have a chance to clean it up because he was buy walking back and forth doing other things. No big deal. The general manager walks up and proceeds to yell at another female server about the water who had absolutely nothing to do with the spill After she walks away, he did not take any real care to clean the spot up himself. He comes back after a minute to clean it up but not with a mop or anything. He takes two towels off the bar and mushes it around on the floor with his foot. He , then, proceeds to kick the wet towels under the bar before walking away. Talk about a safety and hygene issue. This kind of left a bad taste in our mouth. He does not treat his venue or his staff very nicely. We wantedd to get up and tell the other female server that we were sorry for her. This venue would be great if they would fire this rude and sloppy general manager. It's a shame because this used to be one of our favorite venues to go to all the time. The experience is starting to feel cheapened and sullied now.

One big plus was the parking--they have a large parking lot, although we did have to walk a bit and the shopping area was really busy that day Valet parking was also available. The restaurant itself is modern and clean and the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive for the first part of our meal but towards the end, you were hard pressed to get our water glasses refilled. We started with the calamari, Korean BBQ tacos, and Brussels sprouts, and all of the appetizers were very good with generous portion sizes. Unfortunately, the entrees were a disappointment. I ordered the prime rib medium rare plus, but it came out closer to medium well. Another person at our table also ordered a steak, and theirs was overcooked as well. It's especially disappointing when a restaurant misses the mark on the main course since they had a few options of steak on their menu. The appetizers and atmosphere were definitely highlights, but the overcooked steaks took away from what could have been a great dining experience.

Our server recommended joining their app club thing so we also got a free app outta that! The restaurant is huge too, it has plenty of seating which we walked right in and were seated right away. Noise level is very low too, I liked that very much. I'm very surprised reading and seeing the photos of the folks that are giving this place bad reviews. It seems to be every one has one thing in common, from what I'm picking up. They are all using take out service. I just don't think you can judge any place for food if you aren't eating it there. It's like ordering McDonalds and taking it home 15 minutes away and then blaming them for the food to be cold. Food changes after it's prepared. I'm not saying they aren't pointing out the obvious cooking flaws but geez...
