Hubby and I arrived on a Sunday for brunch and the place was packed. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with eggs, hashbrowns, and a pancake. The eggs were the best I've ever eaten (no lie). Hubby opted for the traditional breakfast, with grilled chicken sausage, eggs, grits, and toast. This cafe does not serve mimosas so we both ordered water with lemon. The service, food and staff were great. Five stars to Eggsellent Cafe. I'll be back for another amazing cheat meal real soon.

It's always a great experience when we visit , which is weekly or twice a week lol. Staff very nice and cheerful. The food is always good.

I eat here at least 2 or 3 times a month and would come daily if possible! My partner and I have tried maybe half of the menu and always leave satisfied. Most of it is typical American diner food but everything tastes better here. My go to is the Bomber burger, it honestly needs to be on the best burgers in DFW list! The steak and eggs are always a good move as well as the skillets! The service is always excellent, and I never feel neglected, no matter how packed and busy they are!

My friends are here from Cali, took them here before they head to the airport. It's ridiculous how they automatically charged 22% gratuity when the server barely pay attention on our table, forgot to bring my coffee and forgot one of our dish. Not sure if the server did it on purpose or what? I haded her my card first because I know for sure my guests from Cali would want to pay. Prob she knows I wouldn't argue with her as I've got guests here. I own multiple restaurants and I've never seen any local restaurant would charge customer 22% gratuity. Even if my business would charge gratuitous, the Average usually goes from 15-18% I wouldn't mind if the server have excellent service just like their restaurant name but she forgot to bring me my coffee and she even forgot one of my guest order and I couldn't flag her down because she was chatting with her regulars with her back on me. Food was just average American style restaurant, nothing special.

I've eaten at Eggsellent almost bi weekly for months. The food is great! However not only is the hostess today rude and difficult. A wait time of 20 isn't 60 minutes and when asked be honest it goes a lot further. There is no area to wait other than standing blocking the door. I hope this is corrected moving forward read more

We ate there on Friday Oct 5th. We have been looking for a place close to our home particularly since the "Egg and I" switched to a different franchise which doesn't have Corned Beef Hash. Just for fun I had Biscuits and Gravy and CBH and it was plentiful and very tasty. In fact dinner was no longer an option that day. We were greeted warmly and understand the shake down necessary to get an operation running on all cylinders. The owner is for the area in Illinois that we are from and this restaurant follows the same model of a lot of successful breakfast and lunch diners there. My wife had a chicken salad croissant sandwich, & brought the rest home for lunch the next day. The restaurant has done a good job of giving the space an upscale appeal. I would say to anyone that had a service problem, that is an expected outcome for a new opening. We once waited for food 1 1/2 hours in a favorite FL restaurant that was reopening after rebuilding from a fire... we visited and enjoyed each other's company. read more

We have a neighborhood men's breakfast club from neighborhood 11 in Frisco Lakes. We have been going to Eggsellent Cafe and we all love it. The restaurant is run by a local family. They are at the restaurant to make sure everything runs well. The food is very good and they are able to serve our group with no problem and all the orders coming out at the same time. We have between 12 to 15 every other week read more

I don't really got the chance to eat here since the host ask us to stay at the door and then forget about us. He also give the table to people coming later than us and keep ignoring us. It not because its busy since he just standing there and do nothing. Will never comeback. read more

My wife and I were in the restaurant at 7:30 on 4/3/17. I do believe this is one of the friendliest restaurants I have ever been in. She had the Belgian Waffles and grits and I had the traditional 2 eggs, hash browns, sausage patties, sourdough toast, and coffee. It was great. One thing really stood out to me was other waitpersons also came by and asked if everything was ok. I realize it was early and the crowd hadn't arrived yet and they couldn't do that with a packed house but they did it when they could. This is my breakfast place away from home. Jeez! Where to begin! This place is the ultimate answer to "our town needs a great breakfast place"! ONly down-side, is they are unable to expand. Food is excellent, and you WILL have to wait to get in, but once you do...SO worth it! Best breakfast place I've ever eaten at! read more

Met some friends for breakfast this morning. After seeing recommendations on here we tried Eggsellent Cafe and I am so glad we did! I had the Migas and they were so good. Another had the Avocado Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was delicious and egg cooked just right. The last had the waffle and more. The waffle was light and fluffy. Judging by the crowd of people waiting to eat we were not alone in enjoying the food. What really made the place special was the service. Owner was super sweet and kept our coffee filled. Our waitress was sweet and efficient. Visit if you haven't already! read more

We have driven by this place numerous times as it's close to the house, but we didn't think much of it based on the somewhat corny name. We decided to pop in for lunch one day and were pleasantly surprised! The wait wasn't long and the food was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout. A wonderful surprise in the neighborhood. Love the biscuit and sausage gravy omelette. A unique way to the way it was served. You have to try the homemade Hot Sauce. You can buy a bottle. (I did). The staff is superb. Great service. I was told to try the grits and will do on the next visit. You will leave full and happy. read more

We ate here for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Bisquits, hashbrowns, pancakes,vegi omelett, and meat skillet were delicious (not greasy). We will definitely go back. Atmosphere pleasant, no wait, great service, and clean environment. Coffee was ok (Chock full o nuts) and syrup didn't taste like real maple were the only downsides. But that won't stop us from coming back. Glad to have found a new favorite place close to home. read more

I love, love, love this place. We have to get there early because so many people know about this gem, that you need to get there before the crowd. Nothing more than a little squeeze of lemon over it and you could have brought me a dozen more. But we had to save room for our mains. I chose the gyros salad and my wife the baked haddock with Greek potatoes and string beans. Both dishes were perfect. Not too fancy and just what the doctor ordered. It also comes with a yogurt dip (so good that we asked our waiter for more and he happily obliged. We polished off every bit, but were full and satisfied. I come here often, and it is great. But Covid 19 is not an excuse to lower standards. Came in today, dirty tables everywhere. Had search for a clean table as I passed 6-7 dirty ones with no one there. Place is not as tight and organized as it has been. Food is always good. Service is fine. The plastic silverware is way too much for Covid 19 protocol. Restaurants all over the country are open and not using plastic silverware. Your dish machine, at the proper temp, with the proper chemicals disinfects all silverware. There is a balance between making the guest feel safe, and going over the top and making it uncomfortable. The blond girl with long hair in a some kind of a Supervisor role should probably wear a mask. Would rather see that then eating with plastic silverware. She actually just took an order at a table with no mask. $20 bucks for French toast, 2 biscuits and a soda. Not sure if that was worth it. Come on guys. You had a great business. During these times you need to try harder, not put less effort forward read more

I had the meat lovers skillet and it was beyond delicious and can't remember the last time I've had a better breakfast/brunch dish. The service was also excellent and very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. They were packed and had a little wait but it's well worth it, would recommend this place any day! We love it!!! We have been coming since it opened and it keeps on getting better. They brought us some cheese cake just for being regulars, I'm always telling my friends to check it out. The staff gives it a great home feeling. I think we've had every server wait on us, I can't complain they're all great... It does get crazy on the weekends though so expect a wait. read more

I have been coming here at least once a week, and today was my last time. The buss boy did more for me than the server. She never came to check up on me and I was not happy at all. My pancakes were cold, hard and disgusting. My past visits were never like this. I don't know what happened today. But I'm for sure not coming back. read more
