It's my birthday and I wanted one thing, a waffle to satisfy my craving. This place did not disappoint. One of the best waffles I've had. It was golden, warm and soft with the perfect crispy outside. There's a huge bottle of syrup on the table for a sweet indulgence. They not only have a perfect waffle but you can order half a waffle instead. Oh I'm not done with their waffle. It's my birthday so of course they gave me a free birthday waffle. It's covered in chocolate drizzle with whip cream and ice cream. Yum! This birthday waffle was better than cake. The calamari was crispy but lacked flavor and the dips it came with, should be tossed for being bland. They should add a yum yum sauce and creamy Chipotle sauce instead. The inside is nice and spacious. Our server was phenomenal. He was attentive, the water was filled, plates cleared and our food kept coming out quickly. a short wait of around 5 minutes and we were seated at these tall tables. the service was a bit slow, as we had to hound down our waiter to get our orders taken. the food was really good though, their firecracker shrimp was very tasty. our entrees were also huge and very heavy, so we left stuffed. however, we did have to wait over 20 mins in between our appetizer and entree which made the food settle in our stomachs. would recommend this place, just wished the service was a bit faster so we didn't have to spend like an hour and a half for one meal. read more

The worst thing about this location is the inconsistency. One day the food will be good and the next, bleh. The service is also unpredictable, the coffee drinks are terrible (just...diabetes in a glass), which makes such little sense for a breakfast and brunch spot! Last time I ordered for pick-up I was made to pay EXTRA for subbing out ham for bacon for the signature crepe, which I'd done many times while dining in and never being charged extra. We had a family celebration with 7 people. I called a head to make a reservation and was told I didn't need one. It was 6:30 pm and as promised we were accommodated. The waiter was excellent. He knew the menu items and offered suggestions. I had the beet/cranberry salad and salmon. 2 of the members had french toast with chocolate and nuts on it. Another 2 had steak dishes. All was enjoyable. I recommend that you check the Merriweather show schedule before going because that could affect the crowd size. read more

This joint was legit. Good vibe. Great service! The crab and shrimp omelette was amazing! But it was hard to make a decision as there were so many great choices! I was pleasantly surprised by the brunch food served here. Finally got to go for the first time recently, this spot is tucked away in the Merriweather shopping/residential area. It was a busy time (Saturday morning) but we were seated promptly and well serviced. I enjoyed the Roast beef Benedict- the margherita pizza was decent but I'd definitely focus more on the breakfast food as it is their specialty. I didn't know they t changed locations. However, the food is still amazing and the atmosphere is Great. ANY time family or friends come from out of town this is a great spot to bring them for breakfast/brunch. The drinks are great as well.Make sure you hit the bar. This place is very new, just opened up in the beginning of March, 2025 in the Merriweather District, so the employees are still learning. The storefront is not easy to find, it's on the ground floor of an office building, but google maps should be able to take you there. It's across the street from "Medium Rare". I actually love the variety of the menu here. I didn't know how much I missed their Ellicott City store ever since it closed a few years back. The food here is great and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price. This place is clean, yummy, and worth paying a visit to! Parking is free and ample but the parking lots seem very busy, especially on the weekends! We will definitely be back! read more

Everything about the newly relocated Eggspectations was an overall improvement. The food was out quickly and a tasted quite good. I can't rave enough about the Bang Bang Shrimp (a basic but elevated dish). The only thing I'd say is to avoid the smoothies. Mine was bland and tasted like underripe banana. Wasn't much of a fan. Arrived at the restaurant this morning at 9:45 AM. I was there to meet a new client for breakfast. The restaurant was not busy and the only employee I noticed was the bartender. There were a few people at the bar and only one table was occupied. I was not greeted by anyone at the entrance. I walked over to a table for two and sat down. 15 minutes later, no one came to help me. I got up and as I left I saw the bartender looking at me. He said absolutely nothing. So I left. Went with another couple. Slow service, from the time we ordered to getting our food it was 30 mins. Our food came out first and the other couples food came out over 5 mins later. Try to wait a few minutes for the others couples food to come out before eating our food. By the time we ate our food, it was cold. Coffee wasn't flavorful at all. I unfortunately had a textbook horrible restaurant experience here today. Our waiter greeted us warmly and eventually took our orders, but had to circle back to the table because he didn't write it down and couldn't remember what I ordered, which is fine. The person I was with ordered a meal that came with pancakes, and they brought french toast, so his order was wrong, but he didn't care to send it back. I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon, and the food came quickly which we were grateful for. I started to eat my food and around the 4th bite, I noticed the texture was off. When I looked down at the salmon, it was completely raw and slimy in the center. I kindly flagged my waiter and let him know, to which he replied "I'll have them make another one for you." I waited 10 minutes for another salad, while the person I was with was halfway finished eating their food. When the waiter brought the dish back to me, I cut the salmon in the middle, and it was just as raw as the first one they brought me, even cold in center. I flagged the waiter down again to let him know, to which he replied "wow, maybe the salmon we have today is bad. Do you want something else?" Frustrated at this point and worried about my stomach, I just ordered wings and fries. By the time those got to me, the person I was with had already finished eating. The wings were fine. When the bill came, to my surprise, not a single thing was removed from the bill. The salads, my wings, the smoothie I ordered, were all still on the bill. Not a single person, including our waiter or the restaurant manager came to speak to me for the 2 hours we were there about giving me raw food TWICE. No apology, no offering of a free item or anything to rectify the situation, nothing. I had to ask a host to call the manager for me and tell him that I would not be paying for raw food that was not edible and was sent back. The manager did remove everything I had from the bill which I appreciate, but was not nearly apologetic enough. The fact that no one came to apologize for sending out raw seafood twice is absolutely ridiculous. I am writing this review approximately 10 hours later, having been sick all afternoon from accidentally eating the raw salmon from the first dish they gave me. I will not be back. read more

Stopped in on a Monday evening for dinner. We were the only two people in the dining room at 6:15 PM. We were seated and told "your server would be with us shortly". Ten minutes later, a very nice young lady came by to offer us water and took our drink & appetizer order. This would be fine except we were the only patrons in the room.
