What occurred was far below any reasonable standard of customer service and left me feeling unsafe and disrespected. During my visit, a male server verbally accosted me -- using profane language, making threatening remarks, and treating me in a wholly disrespectful manner. This behavior was entirely unprovoked and completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone a dining establishment. What made the situation worse was the response from management. Despite the incident taking place, the manager on duty took no meaningful action to address the situation, offer an apology, or ensure my safety and comfort as a customer. Their inaction sent a clear message that this kind of conduct is tolerated at your restaurant. I am requesting the following: 1. A formal written acknowledgment of this complaint 2. A full investigation into the conduct of the staff member involved 3. Appropriate disciplinary action against both the server and the manager who failed to act 4. A direct response to me outlining the steps taken I sincerely hope Turning Point takes this matter seriously. Stopped for breakfast here and have to say I won't be coming back. It is a nice looking place, clean and a decent size. We were seated right away but it took a long time for our server to come to great us. We ordered our drinks and she brought them fairly quickly but walked away and did not give us straws so we had to hunt someone down to get them. We ordered skillets and to be honest, they were not great. They lacked much flavor and had a rubbery texture. We got English Muffins with them and they were barely toasted. Also, they are not served with any jelly and when I asked for some they only brought us two small packets for two muffins. Basically dropped them and left so no time to call them back. During our meal our server never came back so we couldn't not ask for more or get our drinks refilled. I saw the reviews and decided to make my own opinion and found it was not a good decision. We loved the ambiance and setup of the place. Not too huge, but big enough with large tables and setup such that people sitting on other side won't distract us with their talking. Portion sizes are more than sufficient. I normally skip French toast outside as it typically turns out too sweet. Here it was tasty and just a hint of sweetness. The two omelets were fantastic. Excellent service, nice selection of upscale eats - this isn't your average eggs and toast breakfast. My inner foodie liked the options and French press coffee. Although I will say the French press was meh, next visit will be just regular coffee. My sausages were a little cold, they came back perfect and I could tell they were not just microwaved they hit the flat top for a few minutes and had the perfect level of carmelization when they came back. This is another hidden gem. The food selection was excellent and the quality even better. Very filling and flavorful. There was a wait but, oh so worth it. I tried one of there unique fresh pressed coffees and the big breakfast and shared in my wife and babies omelette, pancakes and cold brew. Everything exceeded my expectations. Service, by Ciara, was top notch and super pleasant. And it felt genuine. The price put the icing on the cake. This New Year's day brunch topped, by far, our New Year's Eve dinner elsewhere. We were excited to try this new spot at the Fashion Center. You can't make a reservation but you can join the waitlist online the morning of. There is a country chic theme and there were a ton of holiday decor everywhere. We were seated right away. We ordered the western omelet, a veggie omelet and the special blueberry cornbread skillets. The service was very slow and we had to ask our waitress for silverware three times. The blueberry cornbread was amazing! Had great flavor, texture and fresh blueberries on top of it. We waited about 20 minutes for our table for two. It wasn't too long but I don't like waiting. Food was OK, not super impressed. I ordered the two eggs sunny side with ham and Belgium waffle. My wife ordered the soup and had sandwich combo. My order was OK. Breakfast is Breakfast but the hams were slice thin and killed 4 times over. They were too over cooked so they were dry and tough. First time visitor I went on Sunday with my wife and daughter, wife got a combo plate thing with eggs potatoes and pancakes (she ordered her eggs over medium and they came very over easy) the kids platter with scrabbled eggs was a massive adult size portion (I know weird complaint) I order the pesto chicken panini and that was so underwhelming (which is fine) chicken tasted bland like just boiled chicken I said something to our server Lauren she apologized and asked if I wanted anything else I said I'll just take a couple fried eggs and she took my plate away and for the rest of my stay I felt very passive aggressive energy from her and I watched her regularly check on all her tables except ours (which as a POC I'm not to unfamiliar with) , What really got to me was that i sent a whole sandwich back and not once did a manager come over to ask what was wrong with it or just to acknowledge that something they sent out wasn't up to par , by the end of my breakfast I felt unwelcome and just wanted to get out of there. Spent $40 on just potatoes and some undercooked eggs. I was so excited to try this place but I highly doubt I'll be back. read more

I still have a full piece of toast left and eggs and she comes by to give me the check "but no rush" well definitely felt rushed. First time coming here and it's safe to say we will be coming back in the future. When walking in, we were told we would be seated in 15 minutes, but it was closer to 5! Drinks always take a little longer than we would like to come out but they are always tasty. The giant lattes and hot chocolate always give us something fun to talk about. This is probably a solid 3.5. We went here for a late breakfast this past weekend and it was fine. One really nice thing is that there are options for someone who doesn't eat pork. It's always very crowded, and I don't know if I would necessarily wait the long wait to eat here again, but I would go if it's convenient and the wait isn't too long. We joined the wait list at least 25-30 minutes before we got here and it was still another 20+ minutes for two. The food was fine, I got the breakfast combo with a waffle and it was a decent breakfast. The potatoes were surprisingly seasoned better than I expected, so that was nice. The waffle was fluffy and only came out slightly cold, which is usually the risk with ordering a waffle out. Bf got the Nola skillet and he said it was pretty good. There was seasoning and it came with chicken chorizo by default, so he didn't need to substitute anything and that was a definite plus. Nothing really stood out as great, but also not the worst food we've had. I just ordered their regular hot coffee that comes in a small coffee pot for the table. It wasn't terrible, but definitely not my favorite coffee. I thought about ordering one of their specialty French pressed coffees, but I don't know if they would have been worth $10+ based on how not impressed I was with the regular. read more

I have been to this turning point and was excited to return. Came earlier on Saturday morning without a wait, we were seated and served right away. The service is very attentive here from the host to server. Our favorite was definitely the strawberries cheesecake toast! So fluffy and it's a great breakfast item. I also go the Wilbur breakfast, it has everything that I wanted on it. Thought, the dish did came out a bit cold and the cheese was dry up already. If you are into brunch, this is the spot for you. Delicious breakfast and lunch options and a coffee menu that will satisfy even the biggest coffee snobs. I've visited on a few occasions now with groups as small as 3 and as large as 8 -- the bigger the crowd, the cozzier your seating. The restaurant isn't really as big as it looks from outside, but they do have some tables they can put together to accommodate larger parties. We typically start with Avocado toast and/or the bacon apple lollipops. Can't go wrong with either. I pair that with a vanilla latte, but have also enjoyed the French press. Just depends on how long you want to wait for your coffee fix - they recommend you give the French press five minutes or so before pushing the plunger and pouring a cup. For the main meal, I cannot recommend the Big Easy breakfast bowl enough -- skillet potatoes and chorizo with two perfectly poached eggs in a creole hollandaise. It's everything you want for brunch. That said, the French toast and waffles are also excellent and the blueberry lemon pancakes are fluffy and filling. The hostesses sometimes seem really frazzled, but I have always had great luck with servers. They're friendly and efficient and make good recommendations if you're not sure what you want. Weekends are supper busy, but especially beware of the Sunday after-church crowd -- lines and wait times get very long. Recommend you call ahead and use the Yelp Waitlist feature. read more
