I've been coming to EIGHTYMain since they opened. Simply the best food in the area with consistent high quality food and service. Oyster nights on Monday is a steal. Every dish is always cooked to perfection. Thank you Will.

"That was so fucking good!" - is what my wife proclaimed every 3 minutes on our ride back to our air b&b. We are from the Providence area in Rhode Island - known well for its superb food and drink. This is our first time in the Catskills, and we were concerned about the availability of high quality dining. We aren't too pretentious; we are a working class couple who enjoy high quality food. Eighty Main was recommended by a local vendor, and we gave it a shot. This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We are here for our anniversary and we wanted something special. The staff at Eighty Main were inviting and accommodating. Chef Will welcomes everyone upon entry. His attention to his customers made us feel like we were the most important couple in the place. We both were overwhelmed with the menu, and Chef Will encouraged us to try the "I don't give a fuck" tasting - and so we did. The staff listened to what we wanted and included all the options which looked best to us. Chef Will paired the best drinks and Amaro with our meal. We felt like royalty. It is apparent that Chef Will and staff have put in a lot of effort and paid attention to detail by sourcing high quality local foods, alcohol, and vendors. Eighty Main is the best fine dining you can find in the Catskills.

First I'd like to thank this place for being near my mom's house. Second I'd like to say how in shock I was, and still am over how good the food was. Anyway last summer I somehow missed this place when they first opened. This summer when I was back up there I was like we are going here! Out of all the traveling we did in August and places we ate, this was probably my favorite. My mom lives 10-15 mins away and this would be the restaurant I'd highly recommend anyone in the area to come to. Service was great, ambiance was great. My boy loved his pasta and actually wouldn't eat pasta anywhere else after being spoiled here lol. It was that good. If you are in the area come eat here!

Disappointed. We have been here before and the food and service were amazing. Unfortunately, we ordered the " I don't give a f#%k" which was a tasting from the menu. the server said you normally get six courses, so because the menu is broken down in to appetizers, pasta, entrees and desserts we thought it would be one or two from each category. How disappointed we were to get a sampling of three appetizers and three pasta dishes. We received nothing from the entree menu. I guess you're at the chef's mercy when you order this, but for $75 per person I think anyone would prefer to try a portion of each category that's on the menu. Some beef or chicken would have been great. Who pays $75 for pasta? Maybe two appetizers, one pasta, two entrees and a dessert? We did get a sampling of all the desserts at the end of the meal, which were not to our liking, but I'm sure others would enjoy. There were three of us so we could have ordered three different appetizers and three different entrees and shared them. At the high end it may have cost us $50 each as opposed to $75 each, would have had more food and a less expensive bill and saved $75! What really bothered me was when we tried to ask why we got three pasta dishes and nothing from the entree menu, the server said she wasn't sure and could send the chef (who is the owner) over and he chose not to come over to speak to us. This all being said, the server was wonderful and apologized, the food is good, but my review and suggestion is to NOT order the tasting as you can get way more food and a much smaller bill if you just order a few things off the menu. Oh, and don't expect the owner to really care.

4&1/2..Vibes for days...It's hard to imagine one not being smitten by this picture perfect,…read morebeautifully restored vintage turn of the century set-piece worthy little all-day cafe, smack in the middle of what was a strong contender for the most postcard/storybook perfect little upstate town I visited in my recent treks trough the region this past fall. I've heard this little village has had among the most intense glow-ups of the post covid boom in the region and it sure shows. What was once a typically sleepy and stagnant, though still undeniably charming downtown common to the area when I last came through some 20-plus years ago now has all the hallmarks of an upscale, bespoke Brooklyn-north outpost, and this place is a perfect representation, though thankfully one that accentuates a positive example of such development that can serve and be appreciated by both the recent transplants as well as the longtime locals. This is thanks most crucially to the prices remaining happily reasonable and accessible to median income in the area, as opposed to raising prices to typical Brooklyn levels (like at the previously panned Phoenicia Diner). This is likely due to the fact that this place actually was established in the last decade, when, while the Brooklynification of the Catskills was certainly well under way, it had not yet been turbocharged to its insane post Covid levels. Food quality however was uniformly excellent, to the point that it would be a beloved neighborhood asset most any of us would love to have in our own hood. Everything I sampled on my lunch there, selected with the help of the thoughtful suggestions of my excellent server, tasted exceedingly fresh and clean, no doubt owing to the bounty of wonderful local ingredients from which the kitchen procures from. Each dish displayed some delightfully retro 90s era influences from the thick and creamy corn chowder, tasting brilliantly of peak late summer corn, to a bright and briny orzo salad, and the star of the meal, the unctuous, savory, perfectly seasoned umami bomb of a meatloaf pressed panini with the squishy pillowy meatloaf melding topped with gooey smokey provolone contrasted brilliantly with the crusty craggily pressed bread. It was a contender for best thing I had upstate and rivals any burger I had in 2025. Was a deeply satisfying lunch that left be deliciously satiated for my drive out of town through the glorious rolling Catskill Hills dreaming of a future opportunity for another visit.

The property is decorated with twinkling fairy lights, an old truck, and a rustic barn that are good backdrops for a picture or two. The staff was incredibly nice and knows their products really well. They brought our group bottles of all the ciders and took the time to explain each one to us. The honey cider was the group favorite, but I personally preferred the one with beet in it. They told us it was a controversial flavor that people love or hate, and I understand why. It has such a unique, earthy flavor. Outside, there's some fun activities , including ping pong, a fire pit, and Cornhole. Situated on the outer edge of the Catskills, it feels like Andes is just being discovered by visitors. To wit, at the cidery, I heard a Brit (conversing in English) with two Slavic speakers, one of whom was responding solely in his native language. Over there, two youngish guys were discussing bodybuilding form, which led to one of them dropping to the gravel to demonstrate his one armed pushups. And that was just the crowd... I sampled two ciders; everything is available on tap, plus guest taps of craft beer. The first (Catskill, I think?) was semi-dry. I usually lean towards drier varietals, but this really hit the spot after a long tour through the Southern Tier. "Wild" is just what the name says: foraged apples, never twice the same flavor profile year to year. Absolutely outstanding, so a bottle came home with me. A local in line ahead of me said their kitchen was slow, so I didn't attempt food. Really nice location, old coal yard or some such, very vibey, and pleasantly situated in a cute little town. The servers were super nice and engaged, which is always a treat.
