This place is off the Main Street of Roscoe but it deserve some highlight. Pasta are made on premise and they are cooked al dente. I ordered Pasta alla Genovese con Agnello and it tasted so good. The lamb was so tasty and well-seasoned. My husband's pasta dish was yummy too. The menu doesn't only contain pasta. It has seafood and another entree, and even ramen. I would love to try other dishes for next time.

Friendly and accommodating service. The entrees and dessert was just as delicious as recommended. The shabby chic had perfectly matched the namesake.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on the way to a vacation in Ithaca. We found the spot randomly and had high expectations (that were exceeded!). We ate here around 12:30 on a Saturday and the place was empty, but I'm sure it picks up later in the day. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my boyfriend ordered the lobster cacio y Pepe. Both meals were absolutely delicious. You can tell their pastas are homemade and they are cooked perfectly. All of the ingredients were so fresh and flavorful. The dish was packed with shrimp that were perfectly butterflied. The lemon in the dish was really pronounced. I think they use lemon zest to get the pure lemon flavor that many shrimp scampi dishes lack. The fresh herbs were the perfect touch as well. I am from LI and currently live in Queens and I'm pretty sure this was the best shrimp scampi I've ever had. I don't know how often I'll get to Roscoe in the future, but I highly, highly recommend this spot and hope I can get back. Maybe on the drive home!!

Came across Northern Farmhouse Pasta during the Labor Day weekend and it was one of the best choice of the day. Me and my fiancé was looking to full our bellies up before going hiking. It's a small restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining. Luckily we came at the afternoon before they got busy. The waitress was wonderful! We ordered the cast iron baked clams parmigiana as the appetizer, it was very unique. I did like the cheesiness with the bread crumbs, it was a good combination. I ordered the Clams Vino Bianco as my entree I never had tagliatelle pasta but I ended up loving it. Everything went so well with each other. The chef/owner came out to check if everything was okay. Great home made pasta! And friendly waitress and boss. I would definitely come back the next time I return to Catskills.

The food is out of this world and the service is excellent! The only thing I wish they still sold their dried pasta! I miss making it at home. We ordered the Calamari and Meatballs to start. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had. The sauce that's it's served with has a nice heat to it. The meatballs are phenomenal but the star of the show is the tomato sauce. It is excellent. For dinner I had the woodsman bucatini. It's bucatini with mushrooms, peas and pancetta. It was also delicious. Looking forward to dining here again. I highly recommend.

I taught at Roscoe school over 15 years ago and had one Italian kindergartener at that time. I knew his family owned Raimondo's. The kid only spoke Italian and my first thought was, well, this muse be a real Italian restaurant. 15 years later we were on our way back from the wedding upstate with the family and I remembered this restaurant and finally decided to try it. I expected an old fashioned Italian restaurant, but unfortunately it was more than just old fashioned. It needs serious renovation. We are talking musty carpets, old sad furniture, brown flowery curtains. The worst part were the bathrooms - tile was cracking under my feet, rust on radiators, rusty stains on walls. It was bad. My husband said the men's bathroom was renovated- go figure. Now, the food was decent. My family had pasta dishes and I had a panini. My husband who also happens to be Italian said that the tomato sauce "okay" which is what he says when he doesn't like something. I had a beef and barley soup, which was my favorite part of my meal. My daughter liked the taste of her pasta, and my husband enjoyed his Chicken dish. The service was average. There was only one waitress, and she tried, but the service was still somewhat lacking. No bread was brought until we asked. Dirty plates kept piling on the table (she eventually cleaned them up once she saw there is no room for food). The most confusing part was when she brought the check and didn't explain that we are supposed to pay upfront. We wasted time waiting. The prices were decent, no issues there. Overall, this place might be okay for Sullivan county, but if you expect nice Italian dining, this is not it.

What is super nice is that the prices are very reasonable for the portions, and all pasta dishes include soup/salad and hot Italian bread. The salad tasted pretty fresh, and the homemade Italian vinaigrette was very good. I got the spaghetti with meatballs, mushrooms, and Italian sausage. The sausage was cooked a little too long, and the sauce was okay. I thought it was a little strange that the mushrooms weren't mixed into the sauce. Would come back to try the pizza though!

Upon entry, it was as though you walked in to a quaint Italian restaurant on a summer evening. We were immediately greeted and seated for a table of three. The place was quiet and feels private at your table. We were greeted with requests to see if we would like to place an order for drinks. There were a good selection of wines though we do not drink. Water, bread & an adorable mini charcuterie was placed on our table as we look over the menu. There were many options but haven't had good pasta in awhile I decided to order the seafood pasta while my siblings ordered linguini with clams & beef carpaccio (third person was not very hungry). While we sit and enjoy the free table tasting, we enjoyed the ambiance and conversation. Food was freshly prepared and quickly came to the table. All meals were asked if we would like fresh black pepper and grated cheese. Oh my! The pasta were perfect all dente with the sauce full of flavor and creamy that you just want the second bite, the third until you finish the full plate. I so wanted to try other dishes since I was utterly delighted. The table all had the sentiments. We all agree we must come back. The owner stopped by the table to greet us and gave us a little of his story as I was curious how he came to Catskills and open this wonderful place! All to summarize, the service was wonderful! Food delicious, great place to have for celebration and intimate for a date. I highly recommend this place! Definitely coming back!

Light, fresh and perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness from the mango. We followed with seared sea scallops with a creamy white wine sauce. The slight acidity of the wine and rich buttery sauce paired perfectly to complement the sweet scallops. For my entree, I had a broiled branzino with grilled vegetables. The branzino was lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked, moist and flaky! We finished our dinner with classic tiramisu. Rich and creamy! Can't wait to go back for another meal!

Review of Ciao Bella…read more I've been to Ciao Bella before and usually played it safe with the filet mignon or something similar, but tonight I decided to be a little daring--I ordered the Chicken Martini. Let me tell you, I am extremely picky when it comes to food, and this dish absolutely blew me away. Hands down, it was the most flavorful chicken I have ever eaten in my life. You want to talk about flavor? This dish had flavor coming out of the chicken's chicken's kids! At my table, one friend ordered the Lobster Ravioli, and she couldn't stop raving about how amazing it was. Another went with the classic Filet Mignon, topped with Gorgonzola sauce--another absolute hit. The folks at Ciao Bella really know what they're doing. Between the delicious food, the inviting ambience, and the terrific staff, it's an all-around fantastic dining experience. Every dish we tried tonight was a winner. Our server was Jay and he was very accommodating. Let's get to the food. We had calamari as a starter - cooked perfectly but a little over-seasoned. Still good. The house salad sweet red pepper vinaigrette was SO good I'm going to try to recreate it at home. Caesar salads were also good. My husband and I ordered the Duck Cassis and it was excellent. The broccoli and zucchini that were served with the duck were underwhelming (zero seasoning) but the mashed potatoes were delicious. My Dad ordered the filet/shrimp special and really enjoyed it. Everyone loved their meals. Chicken parm with vodka sauce, Haddock Francais, Roman Caesar salad, Veal Sorrentino, and a couple of pasta dishes. One with gluten free pasta that was really enjoyed. We also ordered the house Tuscan - Montepulciano, the house white, and some cocktails that were all very good. We were too full to order dessert but Jay brought out a chocolate mousse with a candle and we all sang happy birthday to Dad. Overall, very impressive meal. To be fair we'd read about Kaatskeller and the reviews as well as their menu, so it was on our radar. Ordered two pizzas, which are all 12 inches, so probably defined as personal size, but easily shared by two people. In our case we got two different pies. First up was the smoked trout appetizer that came with house made pita bread straight from the oven. The trout was really good, and the combination with harissa (which you can add or not as you prefer) really worked incredibly well. We sat at the outdoor bar and enjoyed some nice conversation with the bartenders Reuben and Brandon who were incredibly nice. We ate on a late Sunday afternoon, so the crowd was smaller than a prime Friday or Saturday, so there was no issue with waiting for our entree pizzas. Once the 'zas arrived, the crust was excellent - it was clearly fermented for multiple days and had wonderful flavor on it's own. It was on the thin side, but not cracker. I chose the "My Italian Friend" which featured Prosciutto, garlic, onion, parmesan, tomato, and basil. It was fantastic - cooked perfectly, close to that Neapolitan style, but yet still seeming to channel a good NYC pie. Hard to explain but it worked well. The other was the White Album pizza (shoutout Beatles reference) which featured ramp pesto. We both felt that this wasn't as good as it should be (or, we had higher expectations for ramps than they delivered). The fundamentals of the pizza were still solid. Fun cocktails, decent beer selection, staff was attentive and interested, and pizza was broadly really good. Highly reccomend!
