We stopped for super early dinner. Ordered cheese ravioli and spaghetti & meatballs. Food is delish. Service was quick and very friendly. It is a large place so lots of space for larger groups, if needed. Prices we good too. Menu was a decent size too. Nice variety of pizza and Italian dishes.

Make sure you aren't in a hurry because this isn't a rush in and rush out place. We waited in the foyer with a few other groups and we all schemed to share the large table altogether ...the table garlic knots was amazing and we ordered a dozen to go at the end. I got the spinach fig salad but my appetite was mostly satisfied by the garlic knots and the boneless*mild* chicken wings. To a kid it was still too spicy but really, it's just a burst of flavor. The LOs got a kid's portion of spaghetti and meatball and the other LO got the chicken fingers with fries for his main course. The beaux got the stuffed manicotti. We all took our food LOs home.

Me and my boyfriend are visiting the area and saw that this place was open, naturally since we live in New Jersey we were a bit skeptical of the quality of Italian food we'd get. Let me tell you... We were a 100% WRONG, we ordered our food to go and once we got to our Airbnb we shoveled into that food so fast. I've never seen us discuss food like we discussed our experience with this place, the dough tastes sooo fresh, the portions are HUGE, and it was a lovely experience in all. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend, we'll definitely be eating here one last time before we head out!

Mamma Maria's in Stamford NY is family owned Italian restaurant 1800' high in the hills of Delaware County. A sizeable restaurant with outside seating in fairer weather then our cold and snowy night visit in January, the staff is very welcoming. There is a mix of tables and booths. One of the specials was Scungilli over pasta so my wife did not even look at the menu and I went with a pepperoni Calazone. After placing our order we received 4 complementary garlic knots and as other reviewers note, they are really really good! When our meals came I was treated with a Calazone that is thin in stature but hanging over both ends of the dish by close to 5"! A very unique presentation of a Calazone that I have experienced. It was nicely hot with a tasty sauce for dipping. The crust has a great flavor and it was very good. My loves scungilli over pasta was very good, having a decent amount of scungilli she felt. We passed on dessert this visit as it was getting late and roads were bad but we will be back to Mama Marias for sure!

Me and my partner are visiting from the city and we were looking for somewhere to eat. Luckily we found this pizzeria because the food was SOOO good!! There was a wait and it seemed like they were busy for dining in, so we ordered takeout and got our food within 20 minutes. The cashier was very kind and answered any questions we had about the food. I definitely recommend

Since he's leaving there we've decided to warn other people. First, the food was wretched! The main courses were messed up from the beginning and had to be redone. They screwed up the 'special' as well! My husband and I both ordered steak with shrimp scampi. We both ordered medium; his came back like shoe leather mine was so rare I couldn't eat it! The 'shrimp scampi' amounted to 4 shrimp each that had the texture rubber and appeared to have been thrown in a fry pan with a bunch of garlic sans butter and the white wine required to make it actual shrimp scampi, and dumped on our steaks. It wasn't edible. I ordered rice pilaf with my steak (part of the special) as did my husband. Both came back with cold, lumpy mashed potatoes! We had to ask for the rice! They brought out two smaller plates, much later, with 'rice pilaf' which tasted exactly like it was prepared from a box! It too wasn't edible! Then we order dessert, chocolate cheesecake...which was literally plain cheesecake with awful chocolate syrup on it...NOT CHOCOLATE cheesecake! I'm not sure what my husband or daughters came to because it was a Father's Day present but mine, with NO alcohol, was over $50!!!! For a terrible meal that had to be sent back because they got their own special wrong! Save your $$ and your taste buds and eat somewhere else! To make all of this much worse, the owner (same guy that served us) had hired my daughter's boyfriend promising a certain wage. Turns out he not only refuses to pay him the promised wage (paying him considerably less) but he's paying him (all the employees) under the table as well as cutting back promised hours! Our dining experience lasted 2 1/2 agonizing hours! There was only one other couple in the place and they sat down a full 30 minutes after we did and they received their food first!

I ordered a whole Chicken Parm sub, which they served on garlic bread and a Caesar Salad, which was delicious. Everybody behind the counter was busy working and cooking, and it was a great experience. The chicken was very fresh, the mozzarella was melty, and that little extra zing of the garlic bread really made for a great meal. My wife ordered a chicken cutlet sub with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Very crispy and fresh. She also ordered the Greek salad, which came with sliced olives and lots of feta cheese, and she asked for balsamic dressing on the side for her to dip each bite into. It was an excellent meal, 450 feet from our Motel room. We did not order any pizza, but each personal pie that passed us in the dining room to waiting patrons looked really great.

One thing that's helped us like it more is asking for half the amount of cheese. Otherwise it's too much, like a lot of mediocre places that are not in pizza towns. We like their toppings, including fresh mushrooms, and it's close only 6 miles from us. They also have Stewart's soda in the cold case, including birch beer! The people are pleasant, although they do step right outside the kitchen and smoke, which can make the outside tables uncomfortable. There are a couple games inside, not a full arcade, but a happy diversion for some people, and a cozy stove (pellet or gas, i can't remember) which is really warm in winter. We've emitted stopping here after working on the house, when we're tired, hungry, and a little grubby. We're always welcomed.

We…read morerecently stayed in the area for a youth baseball tournament in Cooperstown and ended up eating here THREE nights in a row--that is how phenomenal it is. The food is incredible. The owner and chef is immensely talented, serving up fresh, farm-to-table dishes. Because everything is so fresh, the specifics change nightly, but everything we ordered was a huge win. The beef carpaccio was dynamite, and the Prosciutto Pizza, house-made focaccia bread, "farm goodies," bolognese, hangar steak, and caprese ravioli were all absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and care in every single bite. (Sorry no pics...we were too busy eating!) Beyond the stellar food, the cocktail menu is an absolute blast. They have a whole lineup of delicious, creative craft drinks with "The Princess Bride" themed names! Trying the different drinks became half the fun of our dinners. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. We had a server named Beth whom we absolutely loved. By the third night, she knew exactly what my daughter wanted to drink as soon as we sat down! The owners and the entire staff are warm, welcoming, and treat you like family. If you are anywhere near Oneonta or Cooperstown, do yourself a huge favor and eat here. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

It's an older house painted red with black trim, featuring a newer deck that, at least when we visited, had no furniture on it. At first glance, you might assume it's a neighborhood sports bar or a casual local hangout. Step inside, however, and you'll find something completely different. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and inviting, with a classic dining ambiance that makes it feel like a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood. We were in Oneonta for Cooperstown All Star Village and were excited to discover this cozy farm-to-table restaurant. The food was excellent, and the setting made for a memorable dining experience. We started with the Crab Puffs, made with empanada dough, crab rangoon filling, and a jalapeño-green onion emulsion. They were creative, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrée, we shared the daily fish special, halibut served with farm-fresh potatoes and carrots. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the fresh ingredients really showcased the farm-to-table concept. The dish was simple, fresh, and delicious. To finish the meal, we shared the Crème Brûlée for dessert. It was outstanding, with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust and a rich, creamy custard that provided the perfect ending to an excellent dinner. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated immediately and received excellent service throughout the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. The drink menu was another highlight, offering a solid selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Overall, this was one of the best meals we had during our trip. Great food, excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and a unique setting make this restaurant well worth seeking out if you're in Oneonta.
