Great shopping experience! Brought my elderly mother in for some new casual outfits. Mom is pretty particular about what she wears. After trying on some petite petite casual wear mom settled on some things she really liked. We were assisted by a very patient and helpful employee, Diane. She treated mom like she was special...which she is...and like it was her special day...which it was. Happy Birthday mom and thanks for your help Diane. I wouldn't take mom anywhere else. read more

I have always had great customer service here. I can't understand the negative reviews. I've always been greeted when I come in, and if something needs to be ordered, it's done quickly and efficiently. I've been shopping here for years. Horrible customer service. I was not acknowledged when I entered store. I eventually was asked if a fitting room could be started for me as I had pulled quite a few clothes to try on. I was in fitting room for awhile and no one checked on me. There were plenty of sales associates on the floor but they were all chatting by the register and they couldn't have been bothered to help me. read more

So I came in today with the intention of reviewing this place. I came looking for specific pants. A young associate was very knowledgeable about fitting. She got me a pair that fit me really well, surprisingly well, despite leaving her challenged that I really didn't know about any other pants besides Khakis and Chino. I have a curvy figure. I never thought that I would wear loose pants. The ones she got me were tight in the right places and loose in a flattering way. It was also American made. Unfortunately, I hope that she stayed with me bc I couldn't find anyone for help afterwards. Then, another lady, the star of the day, came to help me with pants sizing and styling advice. She informed that the size she got was the smallest. I like the efficiency in her announcement. I don't have to bother people or find an even smaller size lol. She asked me if I know what Petite means. I said "small." She said that it means short. Her grandmother was fat, but short- so she always wore Petite. I like that she was very concise when she was speaking to me and my mom. She was detailed and if her goal was to make me more knowledgeable when I walk out, she did just that. I like that she was honest with me, not bothering with politically correct words. I wasn't used to that in sales places, but I felt that our interaction was more personal when she spoke straightforwardly. Lastly was the complimentary styling lessons. She asked me how old I was. I laughed and said only 19. Then she said I see that you're dressing more mature than you are, but I like that. She taught me how to hem my pants with my hands. "Small people, small steps when folding," she said. So she took me back to the dressing room. She went to get me a few items, more like coats and cardigans. She said that she wasn't trying to sell me more things, but was showing me how to be versatile with with my outfits. With the cardigan, she taught me to pull up the sleeves half way below my elbow. Remember, "small people, small steps." My mom likes the pull over, but I like the poncho. She said that no 19 year old can go without one. The poncho she got me was stylish, a little mature, but posh, respectful, and sophisticated looking. It has a slit on the sides. The poncho is of a certain collection which I forgot its name, but the tag said that it cannot be found online and only made for stores. These specific pieces made for stores are not necessarily more expensive; they're more flattering when worn than other pieces of similar designs in the store. Whoever said that no one walks in retail stores anymore should see EF. I asked about the price, and for my Asian mom, the discount. The price is consistent with the tag and not a different price from random discounts like other places. I walked out saying thank you for helping me, but the cashier lady on the right who I've asked about the price before didn't say it anything back. She kind of looked at me stoic-like. I couldn't find the two ladies who helped me in order to thank them. If you guys are reading this, thank you so much. I did walk out not buying anything. But I've recommended EF to my sister and extended families. I have started a budget to fund for future purchases for work here. I felt a little bad to leave things in the dressing room, but I didn't find any rack to put the clothes back on. Sorry to bother you ladies :( I did further research. I usually take a grain of salt when companies say they're sustainable or organic. But seeing how consistent the promise is with the pieces of clothing, I trust it a little more. Most of the clothes are cotton, silk, and other types of reputable fabric you know of. Overall, you get what you pay for. The fit here is perfect. If you stop buying online and actually try on clothes in store, you will know what I mean. The words to describe this place is minimalist, versatile, high-quality, and comfortable- NOT old. It's also a little nostalgic seeing what clothes used to be: well constructed and have fabric integrity. I hope that ladies my age would pass by this EF, try on the clothes, and get styling advice. Then, support this sort of ethical and well-made philosophy by starting a budget and splurge here reasonably. EF has taught me how to live and how to dress. Never did I think I would write a negative review about Eileen Fisher. This is written specifically about the poor customer service I received when contacting the South Coast Plaza store after a purchase. My fault I did not look at what I was charged for each clothing item while at the store. The receipt was emailed to me and when I returned home back to Northern California, I noticed that one of the items had a reduced price sticker but I was charged the full price. I purchased it because of the reduced price. I called the store and explained the situation to one person who turned me over to Allison. Allison informed me that people come thru stores and put new price stickers on clothing tags. (??) I had never heard of this. She was emphatic that they would not refund the difference. I asked her to speak to a manager and she said she would have one call me - it's been 1 1/2 days and no call from a manager. I even emailed them a copy of the tag with the reduced price. This is really terrible service that a manager can't take time to call a VERY LOYAL customer. I won't be shopping at this store again. Really very sad... read more

I have been coming to this store, driving over an hour each way ever since the EF store in San Diego closed. The staff at this location are well worth the trip - I have always received excellent service from every EF employee I have interacted with, be it on the phone or in person. I am always impressed that they actually wear EF head to toe and are HONEST about what works and what is not so popular and why. Many employees have helped me at this store but Allison stands out as a person who always has my best interest in mind. They are patient about returns and I have been taking advantage of the EF buy back program which is a great way to feel better about letting the old items go and replace them with new. Yes, this clothing line is considered expensive, but everything I have looks great season after season and the majority of the items I find at this store are on sale anyway. Very much appreciate being treated in a friendly and courteous manner each visit. Thank you! read more
