We ordered the sausage sampler and picked elk, boar, antelope, and rattlesnack. It was fun to try out with the various mustards. The giant pretzel was good after we removed some of the salt. The sauerkraurt also seemed too salty. There is a 18% service charge for take out. We also ordered a reuben which was OK, but it did not have Russian dressing on it. We asked for potato salad as a side and found that we got sauerkraut instead. read more

The sister and I had a pheasant/Parma and a wild boar/apricot brat. I liked the sweetness of the fruit in the boar brat. You can get a side : sister got a giant pile of kettle chips and I got 2oz of dill/cucumber salad. I would have liked more of that - it was good. Overall it we a simple lunch that hit the spot. One guy walked in, waited 20 mins, and just left. I just left too. Waited 20 mins and saw no one to pay my bill. One of the only bars in town that appears to be trying to maintain and be there for the community during COVID, which is wonderful. The pretzel with some beer cheese is always a great choice, and they serve a medley of delicious beers/wines. Always a good time, especially when the allow for live music by taking over part of the parking lot for some socially-distanced fun! read more

This place is really cool! The several types of mustard, curry katsup, jalapeno, banana pepper, onion, cheese, and hot sauerkraut bar was such a nice touch. The gluhwein was so comforting, but the star of the show was the sausage. I couldn't decide if the elk or buffalo sausage was best. Not a bad problem to have. Service was spectacular, and the place was nice and clean. We'll probably be back for lunch tomorrow! read more

I love me some German food and this place was yummy. Great for a quick bite and cold beer! We tried a number of the sausages which were all delicious. Loved the bar with the different toppings, including warm sauerkraut. I do wish there were more side options and the bread for the hot dog i ordered didn't work well...sausage kept sliding around and was hard to bite. Would've been great with a pretzle roll. Couple of things to note...the cheese that comes with the pretzle is more of a cream cheese spread than a dip, also the portions are generous, so suggest splitting a couple of things. read more

They have a wide selection of German beers and sausages to choose from. We tried the Wild Boar w/ apricots and cranberry sausage and Antelope Rabbit with habanero and all I can say is wowww! They were phenomenal and the taste was so unique... not your average sausage by any means. The sauerkraut and mustard they give you to put as a topping on your sausage really helped elevate the meal. The German potato salad was delicious as well, it had bacon bits, herbs, and wasn't overloaded with Mayo... could have eaten 5 more servings of that! I can't forget to mention the fresh hoagie roll... fluffy, toasted bread... yummm!! The beers were crisp and refreshing... just what you need after a day of snowboarding! You can't go wrong with a half liter of draft beer for less than $7.. I loved all the German beer hall decor and the service was great-friendly staff that are willing to help you decide which beer and sausage to order. This was my first time trying beer soup, it was very interesting. Quite spicy actually! The sausage was pretty good. A lot of mustard flavors available for your taste! Decided to give it a try while in Vail Valley area. Cozy and inviting small bar with everything you need to enjoy German inspired food. Very neat cozy mellow mountain town pub vibe with twinkly lights on the patio and live music with a singer who was good and not shouting so loud that we could still hear each other. Bartender was a young guy who was very kind and knowledgeable. Soon as I said I wanted just a light beer, sort of lost looking at the taps in different German languages, he said I know exactly what you need, and poured one for me. Nice big mugs so you feel transported abroad into a fun cheery environment. One of the places in town that had lots of people and was in a strip with another restaurant next door so you could "bar hop". read more

We arrived at this restaurant after trying Blue Plate which was inexplicably closed. The menu is simple-beer and sausages. Yes they have Bavarian pretzels with a strange cheese butter. But tasty. A large array of different types of sausages and mustards.
