three glasses of beer on a bar
    Adam D.

Seems like every time we visit Avon, we end up coming here. Obviously it's a good sign. Also, how can you not have a tasty beer with German food. The ambience is typical bar with music in the background. The decor is not very German, more of a mountain bar style. They also have live music including open mic on Wednesdays. Always clean and tidy as well. The staff is always friendly regardless if you are frequent patron or just in once in a while. Once you order with them at the bar area, they will bring the order to your table of choice. As far as food, skip the "American" sandwich and go straight for a sausage. I've had most with no disappointment and if you can't decide get a sampler. Food is always delicious and locally sourced. The German potato salad is not very heavy on mustard, as you would think based on the menu description. Highly recommend this place for food, beer and live music (event calendar always posted on the wall).

This is such a cool, cute spot. I think Fridays they have live music. Even for a non beer drinker like me I lucked out and found a beer that I could totally enjoy. The Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. If you're like me try this beer. You might like it. The salty Elk sausage was a perfect balance for this sweet beer! It's not a giant place. There's about 4-5 tables and oh btw they have some food. Hot Dogs and Pretzels.

I loved this place!! Anywhere that has riesling is a 10 in my book & this place had so many great things on the menu and great ambiance. The bacon cheddar sausage was AMAZING & they have about 8 sauces (mostly mustard) to choose from-- their house mustard was so tasty. The reuben was delish as well! We will be back here !!

I can't believe I didn't leave a review after our visit in 2023. There are lots of good, even great, places to eat in the Vail valley. My son and I loved Ein Prosit. My sausage sampler was great: Smoked Beef, Elk Jalapeño Cheddar, Wild Boar with Apricots & Cranberry, and Antelope Rabbit & Habanero. My son's sampler included the elk, but then went with Currywurst, Buffalo Green Chile & Chipotle, and Duck Cilantro. We wanted as wide a variety as possible to share. Everything was so good, and there weren't any I would hesitate to get again. My favorites were the Antelope Rabbit and Habanero, and the Duck Cilantro. Service is quick, they have a good variety of beers. We enjoyed sitting outside since it was such a nice July day. This is a must-visit place. If you're not into exotic sausages, they have plenty of traditional sausages. I'm sure they're great, but hey, live a little!

In town for the weekend and decided to stop at Ein Prosit for a late bite to eat. We weren't starving, so we decided to get the sampler of 4 sausages. All were delicious! We got the boar, venison, duck, and rattlesnake. I can't pick a favorite! They were all flavorful and really nicely done. We especially liked the free mustards - there were tons to choose from! There was also live music at the place next door, which we were able to enjoy while sitting on the patio. It was such a nice vibe! There were also a bunch of cute, well-behaved dogs on the patio. Service was quick and friendly, and there was tons of free parking out front (it's free for the first 0-3 hours). I would definitely go back!

After checking into the hotel, we wanted to explore Avon and have a drink. My partner and I have strong German ties, so when we saw Ein Prosit, we knew we had to go. The first disappointment was their beer on special for happy hour wasn't available. So, we ordered other beers. The second, and main disappointment, was the lack of service. The guy running the place may us feel like we were bothering him. It was one of those times when you question whether or not you should tip. Had we known service would get worse, we wouldn't have tipped. Heck, we wouldn't have stayed. We had ordered a pretzel with our beee. The pretzel was good, but the food runner really made it feel like she hated her job. We felt so uncomfortable, we ate and drank quickly, so we could get out of there and find another place to hang out. Two stars for the beer and pretzel, but we won't go back.

Kerri and Scott are wonderful hosts. I love the cozy interior nestled in this huge shopping emporium in Frisco. I love when it's warm enough to sit outside, though we will sit outside even if it is cold. Best beer, brats, pretzels and sides anywhere. The mustards complete the whole thing. I realize they have sandwiches, but I'm too busy eating Brats to care. It's walk up service, with a teeny kitchen. Ein Prosit is busy, get there before noon or you will wait, but the wait is so worth it. We come during EVERY visit to Summit County. It's a must. (Our friends all agree!!)

This is the place for German beer and delicious German food! The menu is limited but has a good range of traditional foods. The giant pretzel was our favorite. It has a lively atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Delicious authentic German food in Avon! We came here after a hike it was around 4 and this place was packed. We ordered a pretzel and the sausage sampler. We got the smoked beef, veal, pheasant, and duck sausages. All of them were great. We especially enjoyed the duck assuage and the pheasant sausages. The pretzel was warm and fluffy. This portion of food was perfect for two people and I was stuffed. They have 13 types of mustard. In particular I was blown away by the homey mustard and I typically don't like honey mustard. The prosit mustard was also great. The garlic mustard was interesting and different. I love horseradish and I found that their horseradish mustard wasn't spicy enough. The cheese sauce was great. The service bringing the food out was fast, the counter ordering was a bit slow. Overall such a cool place with great food. Highly recommend

This time I ordered the Schmidt Mac Burger with Parmesan Fries, while my wife had the Wagyu Reuben with a side salad. Every bite was delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy with just the right amount of Parmesan, and my wife's Reuben was loaded with flavor. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. After our meals were delivered, our server rarely checked back. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, and our water glasses sat empty long enough that we finally had to ask another server for refills. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn't the level of service you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One thing to know before you go--the prices are on the higher side. My burger and Parmesan fries were around $33, so this isn't your average burger joint. That said, the quality of the food helps justify the price. Overall, the kitchen absolutely delivers, and that's why we'll be back. Hopefully this was just an off day for the service staff, because if the front of the house matched the outstanding food coming from the kitchen, Craftsman would easily earn five stars.

Avon has lots of roundabouts with very little signage. The front didn't look promising until I noticed the great looking well shaded patio. Walking inside, I was greeted by a large bar with comfortable seating. Up a short flight of stairs was another dining area and the kitchen. Unfortunately, they had only 1 server on a Monday afternoon, so the patio was not available. I was served by Monica. Her manager assisted. I sat in the upper room, starting with a draft of Pacifico. Nice big menu with standards you would expect in a burger place. Most of the customers were locals with a few groups of tourists. I ordered the single (6oz) burger with pepperjack cheese, mushrooms, jalapeños and small side of shoestring truffle fries. The burger came with lettuce, tomato and red onion for no additional charge. Very good burger, cooked medium. I asked Monica about their desserts. She recommended the chocolate cake. I got a large slice with fudge between the layers and on top for only $11. I skipped the vanilla ice cream. As I was paying the bill, I noticed an increasing number of servers arriving. Happy Hour is 2-530pm daily. They have drink specials Mon-Thur with extended hours on Thursday. They add a 4% Living Wage Fee for staff. Clean restrooms.

I consider myself a professional diner...meaning I am out 3-4 nights a week, and Northside Kitchen is my most favorite restaurant in the Vail Valley. I usually dine at the bar where either Connor or Brandon are not only offering service with a smile, but are also welcoming everyone who walks through the door! Their custom cocktails are awesome, but I go for their insanely extensive wine by the glass menu!! Caymus, Silver Oak, Duckhorn, Quilt, and about 40 other high end wines are all offered by the glass at Northside! Both 6oz and 9oz pours are available. The dining staff, are professional, pressed, and knowledgeable about wine, food, and professional fine dining service levels. The dining room offers beautiful white linen covered in butchers paper, with the perfect level of lighting to see both the menu and the guests you are dining with. The dining room and porch are modern and clean. The menu items, created by Chef Noah Bender, are delicious! Hand cut steaks and Prime Rib are favs, but don't be afraid to try their pappardelle Bolognese or the fantastic fresh "sea to table" black cod or trout! It's dynamite! You will find the service in the dining room attentive yet not overwhelming. Northside Kitchen to me is one of the most underrated fine dining restaurants in the Vail Valley!!
