The coffee is freshly ground on site and the coffee cup was a generous size. The only thing is that they do not carry decaf coffee so my husband had to settle for an espresso which was a little overpriced. It was explained to us that there is not enough traffic to brew a whole pot of decaf coffee as it's not very popular which is completely understandable. Pink Duck Kitchen is a local Filipino-American fusion brunch restaurant that has maintained solid Yelp ratings and recently garnered a spot on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Top 100 restaurants of 2025. Seeing as how it's the last Henderson spot which I hadn't tried, I decided to rectify that oversight today. I was thinking breakfast at first, but the Lamb Sandwich ($17.99) caught my eye. After clarifying the form of protein with the server, I said yes to this offering. I'm glad I did because it's a stunner. To start with, the bun is nice and soft. The pulled lamb is so tender and surprisingly free from gamy flavor, and whatever it's braised in does so much work making it irresistibly tasty. Then the tzatziki creaminess, tomato umaminess, and even the banana pepper tanginess really round out the flavors. Even the cucumber slices are perfectly portioned to add some crispiness and flavor. Fries come with the sandwich. I was hesitant since they were thick and also very brown. Fortunately, they were soft and fluffy inside, and there was enough crisp from the potato skins. They were actually a little undersalted too, but when I finally flagged down the server for some ketchup, I unlocked the code. The fries are just about perfect with a healthy amount of that Heinz goodness. I did get a bite of breakfast though. My friend's Ube Pancakes ($14.99) were cited as a dish to try on that top 100 list, and I can see why. There's plenty of ube flavor, and a good balance of a lightly crispy exterior and soft interior. The fresh mango and berries were a great touch, as was the whipped cream on the side. I'll have to have a full dish for myself one day. It wasn't as packed when we arrived as I was anticipating; I guess Sunday brunch invites a late-morning crowd though, since it started filling up. Music was top 40 stuff and not too loud. Really my only issue was the water not being ice cold. I've gotta come back to Pink Duck Kitchen since they have such a fun variety on their menu and they're one of the closest interesting restaurants to my side of town. The Stephanie location is usually much busier, yet we have never experienced anything like this there. At around 8:45 am we decided to leave. Before leaving, I spoke with the host and asked for a manager. The manager did apologize and asked us to stay so they could take care of us, but by that point we had already made up our minds to leave and go somewhere else. They also offered a gift card, which we also declined. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression, and I don't think we'll be returning to this location. CREPES, COFFEE AND MORE…read more.. I went to this French cafe over a week ago to try to get a crepe to go. It was not overly busy. It's very casual and easy to order at the counter and go. Think again. I got through the line quickly. Placed my order and watched everyone around me receive their food, dine and leave within 30 minutes all while I was still standing at the front waiting for 1 gluten free crepe with fruit. There was a sign up front that asked guests to be prepared to wait longer times so I really tried to be patient. I waited. After 40 minutes still standing up front I still had no crepe. I asked the cashier if she remembered me and she said my order would be ready momentarily. I took a closer look at the order and noticed that the gluten free crepe was buckwheat batter of which when I ordered they didn't make mention of this. Due to my allergies and sensitivity I had to wait again to speak with someone else who appeared to be managing, perhaps the owner. He claimed they make their own batter and brought out the bag of buckwheat flour. Then read on google the ingredients. I really thought a gluten free crepe was mainly made of alternative flour such as coconut flour--not here. I also pulled up this information however I did not want to take a risk. He told the cashier at the counter to issue me a refund and he turned back around to make more coffee orders. I overall felt like I had wasted my time here. I used to take my kids here and haven't been here since they remodeled and expanded. I was by myself and really just wanted something to eat but was not offered anything else. That part upset me the most. Then my refund took a week long. Really thought the refund should have been immediately. The cafe is really cute!
