Part of my recent $350 order included a Chopped Salad Lunch Box for someone with strict gluten and dairy restrictions. When the order arrived, the salad contained blue cheese. Mistakes happen. I completely understand that. That is not the primary issue here. I called the restaurant directly to resolve it. The first call went to voicemail, asking me to hangup and call right back. I did. I was placed on hold for several minutes before speaking with someone. I explained that the salad contained cheese and that bowls were also missing for the soup. She asked what an ideal solution would be. I asked what my options were, and she said they could remake the salad and send it out. I agreed and asked how long that would take. She said she needed to check. A few minutes later, a different employee came on the line and told me she had "confirmed" with the person who made the salad that no cheese was added. I explained that I was literally looking at the salad and could clearly see blue cheese on it. I was then told that it was "impossible" because the employee "confirmed" she never put any cheese on the salad. The conversation went back and forth, and I was ultimately told that I could email a photo and "if we determine there is cheese on it," something could be done. I told her I ordered through EZ Cater and was not provided an email address. I was then told she did not know the email address either, but someone might call me back when a manager arrived. I chose to end the call at that point. Again, mistakes happen. What was disappointing was being told, in effect, that I was mistaken about what I was seeing in front of me. That response, more than the error itself, is what prompted this message. I hope this feedback is helpful as you evaluate both order accuracy and customer service training moving forward. A fun thing I didn't notice until I was uploading the photos here for the review, and am now adding to the bottom of this review, is that it appears the woman who knew she never put cheese on the salad, also put some of her hair in it. Ok, I've been driving by this place for years, not really paying much attention to it. It's not a chain I know and I really haven't had anyone in my life tell me to go here. I'm all about something different and I didn't want to go to my normal breakfast haunt so I finally decided to come in and give this place a try. Walking in, I was happy with how clean and modern the place looked. I'll admit, I wasn't exactly expecting much, especially for how long this place has been here. I liked the set up to the register as well, with the long "hallway." No questioning who was here first. There are many menu options and I will admit I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but I ended up ordering a half sandwich with soup combo. You can do this with different combinations of items as well, like sandwich and salad or soup and salad. I was also surprised that there were still sides with this option. With the price, that's good value right there. The food was pretty good too! Everything we ordered was delicious and was a great portion size. We ordered $48 worth of food! The berries and cream pancakes had no cream! The Anaheim scrambled was skimpy (see pic) and served with a few lottle rock hard potatoes. The eggs were soggy. The few potatoes they gave us were hard like little pebbles! The pancakes weren't cooked all the way through. They provided no butter or syrup for the two orders of pancakes. There is obviously no quality checks before they fulfill their orders! This was almost $50 wasted! I've given this place multiple chances and each time they have been horrible! I'm done with them! First, let me say, I loved Corner Bakery. I would come at least once a week and more if I was in the area. My go to was the Anaheim panini with no bacon. Not only was it fresh and super filling, it was enough for 2 servings! They changed the portion and bread quality so now it more like a snack size and normal sandwich bread instead of the thick sourdough. My recent visit, I decided to try the Anaheim scrambler with no bacon. The drive through took about 12 minutes, but that wasn't the worse since they make things to order. I could barely hear the worker as the intercom was so low. Not only did they burn my eggs so much that there were more brown pieces than yellow, but it was full of bacon that looked uncooked. The cheese looked like something they threw on last minute and not melted. I went inside to tell them. The staff was pleasant, but seemed to not care that they messed up my order and how long it would take to remake it. I unfortunately will not be returning. The quality has gone down a lot, but the prices are still high. I don't mind paying more for good quality food, but when the food is bad and the prices are high, something is definitely not right. read more

My company comes to this Corner Bakery Cafe at least once a week for almost the last year. Every time we come in, the person at the counter has a huge smile on their face and happily greets us. We typically put in a large order, 10ish breakfast sandwiches or burritos, a few coffees and some odds and ends. The food always comes out great, they don't skimp on the portions and we never wait a long time. We always place our order inside because of the service and the vibe in the restaurant. Very tasty! Great prices cheaper I feel than most drive thru crap fast food. This is real food that's fresh you can taste and it's good heart portions! I got the avacado wrap it was much bigger than pictures and the sauce was very tasty not too spicy super filling yum yum! Salads, sandwiches, soups, sweets, wraps... I can go on and on. The choose two is my favorite option if I'm looking for a hardy meal. This option allows you to mix and match 2 items such as a sandwich, panini, salad, soup, or pasta. Then you can choose any side you wish such as chips, side salad, fruit or more. The pick two is always very satisfying. If I'm looking for something sweet to treat myself, I love to come here. Second they tell me they can't take tomatoes off my sandwich, I'm allergic btw. Then she finally figures it out. We go to sit down can't find a single clean table (pictures to follow) we ask for them to clean a table it's like we asked them to do a ridiculous task. So we are finally getting food guess what after a few tables that got there after us got their food ours finally came after 17 minutes. I get up to go grab condiments and napkins. Guess what the truck hasn't gotten there yet no napkins. Not sure what kind of clown show is being run over there but, I was a restaurant manager for over 20 years if we ran out of something g as essential as napkins you better believe I would send someone across the parking lot to go grab some. And our food was cold my wife's toast was so cold she couldn't spears butter on it. My eggs were cold and barely cooked not sure how you can even achieve such a thing. I pulled the slimy ones off and ate the rest. I don't want to wait another 17 minutes for probably cold food again. After this was all said and done. I had to use the restroom it was disgustingly dirty. If you are gonna leave a young person in charge on a Sunday make sure they are qualified. Worst trip to CB ever. Stay away at all costs. This place used to be so good. The only thing worth a flip was the oatmeal somehow it was still warm of course they were out of milk to put in it. read more

Well, this turned into an "oh, you didn't get your food" experience. For those unfamiliar with this place, you walk up to a counter to order, they give you a number, and you place it on your table. At least that is how I assumed it worked. I don't know how food gets cooked and forgotten but they found a way. To be fair, the food was tasty. As frustrated as I was about the terrible service, I settled on 3 stars for the food. Although it was not piping hot as if they made it fresh. Hopefully I am the exception to the rule. read more

Corner bakery is located in the same shopping center as Burlington coat factory and Five Below. Similar to Panera or a Cafe Zupas, their menu offerings are basically the same options, soups, salads, paninis, sandwiches, desserts and a variety of coffee's and beverages. I actually prefer Corner over the other two restaurants I've mentioned, for one the service is very welcoming, they are really consistent, and their sizes and prices are better in comparison. They also have a rewards club that frequently will send out a bogo coupon or 99 cent drink, a nice little incentive to visit more often than not. I usually dine in, it's quick and easy but they also have drive through if you don't feel like dining in or getting out of your vehicle. Most of my visits I get the pick 2 for 10.99, it doesn't matter what you order the prices do not increase, unlike Panera where depending on your order if they consider it a premium item, the price increases. read more
