Great choice - when we first sat down we had the patio to ourselves - with a beautiful snow covered Mountain View. Shortly after we sat down, Rylie, our server, came out to get our. Beverage order and answer questions about the menu. Service was excellent throughout. I ordered the ABC Skillet ($19). My buddy went with a single blueberry pancake ($10) with a side of bacon. My skillet was huge with a very generous serving of avocado (see the photo). My buddy's pancake was also huge with a large helping of whipped cream and blueberry compote (also delish - yes I had sampled some!!!) Five dollars for a fruit cup that contained two tiny pieces of pineapple, two small pieces of honeydew melon and two small pieces of cantaloupe no strawberries no grapes no other fruit which was very disappointing and not fulfilling at all. The home fries were VERY undercooked and unseasoned. The turkey sausage patty was clearly just microwaved and was basically $3 fully cooked boxed Jimmy Dean turkey sausage patties--very rubbery and tastes much like cardboard. Griddle Cakes is seriously one of my favorite breakfast spots. The skillets are so perfectly cooked, flavorful, and super satisfying. The ingredients taste fresh and everything is seasoned just right. And the pancakes are delicious every time. The staff is also amazing. They're friendly, attentive, and really know what they're doing. Service makes such a difference, and they definitely deliver. I've tried other places too, and honestly, in my opinion, Babystacks' skillets just aren't as good compared to Griddle Cakes. The flavor at Griddle Cakes really stand out. When people say it's not good in the reviews, I feel like they just haven't tried enough of the menu. There's so much variety, and if you explore beyond one item, you'll find something you love. I stopped into Griddlecakes on a Sunday morning. Being a popular brunch day and time had us waiting for about 20 minutes for a table but they moved quick to get us seated. Dusty was our server. He was so nice and went above and beyond to make my son the "best hot chocolate" he's ever had after he laid eyes on the hot chocolate Dusty brought him. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with home fries. The portions are huge and we had leftovers. The prices are great considering how much food they serve you. The service is excellent at this location. My cousin lives in Inspirada and suggested we try Griddlecakes for Breakfast since it's close. We went on a Sunday around 9:20am and were seated immediately. They have a great menu with lots of choices. I ordered one of the Skillets- The Big Nevadan, I had eggs over medium and it has ground beef, bacon & cheese. It was deliciously savory. I choose the Biscuit and Gravy instead of toast and it's really good. My cousin built his omelette and enjoyed it. Portions are good sized. Of course we had to try a Griddlecake, so we split a single Buttermilk and it was delicious! Service started out good but when we asked for two things, each time the server forgot so it took awhile to get what we needed. It wasn't real busy so not sure what the issue was. Oh my goodness, what a HORRIBLE Manager they have working on Friday morning here. My 85 year old mother has a Service Dog and only gets out maybe once per month and we came in and we're greeted very nicely by the front hostess and sat us. My mother's Service dog weighs 8lbs and we're all enjoying our beverages and all of a sudden, this Manager comes charging our table and essentially yells at my mother "THE DOG HAS TO BE ON THE FLOOR!" No greeting, no hey guys, would you mind putting the dog on the ground, nothing like that only yelling. I was shocked and of course we left. What a bad experience. But, what keeps my family coming back is the staff! They all are very friendly, very attentive just over all great. Emily is the absolute BEST!! I've been to other Griddlecakes locations before and have never been disappointed with my visit. Yesterday was no exception, service was quick, there was no wait to be seated, food was delectable and sent out amazingly quick. The atmosphere in the restaurant was chill, clean and had a great view if you choose a table near the windows. I had their Red velvet pancakes, they are always a guarantee to be delicious. I only ordered a single pancake, which gives you the option to turn into a Combo with 2 eggs any style and either bacon or sausage. I ordered my eggs over medium and the chefs cooked them perfectly. I will be coming back to this location for sure due to the nice service and great view. Bonus, as of right now it's not too busy just yet, I'm sure due to the fact that some of the neighborhood doesn't realize it's open yet, so it was nice to have no wait to sit like other BabyStacks locations I've been to. read more

A welcome new addition to the Inspirada area. The previous restaurant didn't last long but I certainly hope griddlecakes is able to last longer. The joint has the same mneu as the other griddlecake joints and they open at 7 AM. I have been here a few times and each time the service has been fast, attentive, and efficient. The food has been good and I enjoy their club sandwich more so than Broken Yolk which is the "new hot" place in this area. Every time I eat here, the food is prepped quickly and piping hot and I enjoy the flavors of the food. Their fries are honestly the best and I love the portions they gave. They certainly don't skimp on the portions for the price and it's a welcome addition. I have already added it to my rotation and I order take out at least once every 2 weeks if not more frequently. So happy to have another breakfast spot in the neighborhood, and so happy to have it be Griddlecakes! If you're looking for delicious pancakes, look no further. My husband and I decided to come here on a weekday. They just opened not too long ago, but there were a few other people in here. We were seated immediately and given our menus. What I really love about this place is that it feels like a low-key diner atmosphere. None of that mumbo-jumbo, if that makes sense. Which is probably why when I tried to order a latte, they told me they didn't have that, but just had straight up coffee haha. No problem! Coffee was great. I do love all the choices they have here. I decided to build my own pancake meal. I got the chocolate ones with strawberries on top and then it came with a side of eggs and choice of sausage or bacon. I opted for sausage. The pancakes were BOMB! Seriously so good. Simple and delicious. The batter they use is so tasty. My husband also really enjoyed his meal here, too. The staff was wonderful. After a busy morning of being outside with football, cheerleading etc at Adventura Park my family and I headed to Griddlecakes. We loved Stacks n Yolks (previously) so Griddlecakes had bug shoes to fill... THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Service was amazing. Every employee greeted our party and we sat down immediately. Our server was very polite, prompt and professional. He was very familiar with the menu and made some great recommendations. My niece asked for a Shirley Temple, and our server came back and told us that they didn't have any Grenadine. Who I assumed was the manager, said no problem and sent one of the employees across the parking lot to liquor world and bought some so she could have a Shirley Temple! We were very shocked and grateful! All five orders came out perfect and very fast. The food was extremely fresh, the portions were large, and extremely flavorful. I have been to other Griddlecakes locations, and swore I'd never go back after a handful of visits. My first visit to this location was recently due to it being basically in the neighborhood, and it certainly won't be my last! Popping in for a late breakfast/early lunch, this place was well seated without being crowded...a good sign for someone like myself with a checkered past with Griddlecakes! A small interior, but nicely done, and a wall of windows to check out the view of the distant mountains. I ordered a burger with a fried egg, lettuce, tomato, pickles, pepper jack, and cooked to a medium temperature. This was a fresh as you could ever request, the burger cooked to a perfect medium temperature, and the toppings were all perfect! The fries here are excellent and shouldn't be substituted for anything else! As an added bonus, the server wanted to convince me to return for breakfast so I received a free pancake of the month which was strawberry shortcake. This was outstanding! I don't normally do pancakes for breakfast as it's more dessert to me, and this was no different, but outstanding is an understatement. read more

Today we decided to adventure up to Griddlecakes and we are so glad we did. We walked up there with our dog because they have a patio. When we got there they did say the patio wasn't quite open yet but that they would seat us. They warned us they were short staffed and honestly, if she hadn't told us we wouldn't have known. The service was great!!! Fatima sat us down and then came back with water for our dog. We knew what we wanted at that point and she took our orders. I had the BLT Wrap with Fries and the fries are 10/10. There is a magical seasoning on there. My boyfriend had the corned beef hash and after taking his first bite was committed to coming back again. We decided to share the Blue Jay pancake because I'm a sucker for Lemon Blueberry and it was DELICIOUS!!! Our food came out quickly and Fatima and the Griddlecakes team frequently checked on us and the pup. For being their opening week, we were so impressed. One of my go to sit down breakfast spots. The french toast is outstanding and the service is quick!

I had a hankerin for biscuits and gravy. Rather than going where I know they are fantastic, my wife and I decided to support Griddlecakes, just 5 minutes from our house. The environment was inviting and the staff was fantastic. They seemed to be one happy family. My wife had a pancake and she truly enjoyed it. I gave the biscuits and grave a shot and they were pretty bad. I'm pretty sure the biscuits were out of a can and the gravy out of a bag. I recommend they learn how to make them from scratch or take them off the menu. I'll go again and try something from their lunch menu. I do hope they are successful. read more

Well if i had read Garrets review i probably would've gone elsewhere as my experience was similar with sub par food and just no service at all after the plates were down on the table. Had the sloppiest looking meal with burnt toast that i couldn't even send back as the server never came back again after plates were served. Had to go up to get the check as they were already busy counting receipts at 11am n the place was empty! To me id drive to EggWorks as they are always super nice n really show pride in their products n service. Lived in the area for 2.5 years and decided to give this place a try but for the price point charged i would at least expect great service!! My absolutely favorte Breakfast spot. I'm only out this way twice a month but I make it a point to go see these folks. Great music, awesome food and most importantly the staff is super friendly and funny and generous. They suggested that I try the one on Decatur since it is where I live and it is a total rip off. Hubby and I Door-Dashed breakfast from Griddlecakes again today. Apparently, we did so back in February of this year. At that time, I put a 4-star review on Yelp. We're going with four stars again today; and there is something to be said for consistency. I once again ordered the El Jefe but this time I had the eggs prepared sunny-side up rather than scrambled. The serving was very generous. In fact, I had half for breakfast and the other half for dinner. I re-heated the leftovers in the microwave on the "reheat casserole" setting (but stopped after 90 seconds) and it was even better than it had been at breakfast. My husband tried the Philly Steak Skillet and liked it very much. It came with a biscuit and gravy which weren't as good as the Skillet itself. He, too, had leftovers. Once again, service was fast. I think that Griddlecakes (in Inspirada) is going to become one of our "go to" breakfast choices. Although we rarely "go to;" it's more "order from." LOL read more
