I had a very disappointing experience at Einstein Bros. Bagels. I waited about 20 minutes in line just for an iced coffee, and even after asking multiple times, no one seemed to know where my order was. One employee said she would take care of it but then left without saying anything. Eventually, another staff member kindly gave me the iced coffee, but unfortunately it tasted terrible--like it had been sitting in the freezer for days. Meh I stopped in the other morning for an egg sandwich and a hot tea. The counter person wanted to be somewhere else. The A/C is set to 68° it's freezing inside. When I asked why it was so cold the lady said I don't know I guess it's hot in the kitchen. Meanwhile, my coffee is getting cold. I have visited this location probably three separate occasions. There is always a line. Service is a little slow. I recommend calling ahead to place your order if you're in a rush. They do not have the capability to order within the app which I think is a downside. However if you download their app you get a free bagel and smear for signing up. I usually get a breakfast croissant and it's consistently good. They make each bagel or sandwich to order so it's always fresh. No drive thru. read more

The 4th St. St. Pete location used to be my #1 go-to breakfast spot. I always ordered the nova lox bagel, which came in two separate halves and was perfectly proportioned. But something has changed. On my last two orders, they have come smushed together like a sandwich, and the fish overpowers the whole thing. It's a big glob of gross fish rather than the nicely proportioned, well-presented, and tasty item I used to receive. After receiving this twice, I'll need to find another breakfast spot. read more

Just being able to say "shmear" when you order puts a smile on my face. My regular order in a Power Bagel toasted with light peanut butter and a small fresh squeezed o.j. The staff here is fast and very friendly, even in the hectic drive time hours. It is simple to get a big order to take into work and even though I don't drink coffee, from what I have been told, it is good. I called ahead of time to order a tote of coffee. I arrive and it's not ready. When they did put the tote together, I had to ask for cups, creamer and sugars. Shouldn't that be standard practice? My box of bagels and cream cheeses did not come with knives or napkins. I was already out the door when I realized they forgot that too. The gentleman in front of me ordered a sliced bagel. As I was selecting which start to pick the two star rating says "Meh. I've experienced better" which was my exact thought when I got my bagel. I grabbed a bagel and diet coke as a quick bite. I actually had that for the first time too(I've always been a huge fan of smoked fish and capers, but never had them together). The iced pumpkin latte is absolute diabetes, but it was so good! I am only giving this two stars due to the food being hot and delicious. I got a bacon egg and cheese bagel with hash browns on the side. Yummy. The reason this isn't five stars is due to many device issues and app overlooks. It all started when I put my order in online for curbside through the app. I was unable to use my birthday reward; or any reward for that matter. You can't apply them and they don't automatically apply. This is a huge issue in my opinion. The second issue happened at the store; I pulled up for curbside (15 minutes after ordering as the app stated that's how long it would take for my order to be ready). I sat in my car curbside for nearly ten minutes before calling the number provided (it stated call of order not out in three minutes). Why did I wait so long? Well it took me calling four times; no one ever did answer when I pushed three to speak to an associate. An associate finally came out to my passenger side door, I rolled down my window and she proceeded to THROW my bag of food in and walk away after rudely asking "name!!!". The bag hit the floor of my passenger side. I have never been treated so poorly by any employee anywhere. This saddens me as we come here often for bagels and it appears that I will have to find a new bagel place. read more

Horrifically bad service! Went in to pick up an order..they didn't have it and immediately said I must have made a mistake. I said my wife placed the order last night, they "double checked" and said "Nope, you've made a mistake." I said that my wife put it on her credit card and they said "We don't take credit card orders over the phone. You've made a mistake." The order was place on-line and we've already been charged for it. The "manager" checked again (a process that takes about 2-3 seconds) and came back and said "No, you've made a mistake!" I left the shop and bought bagels from another store. Went back this afternoon to cancel the order and request a refund. The manager says she can't cancel the order - we have to do that on-line.
