This is always our go-to because they seriously have some of the best bagels. We ordered the Original Pete, French toast, a bagel with cream cheese, and my husband got a breakfast sandwich. The food itself was really good like always. The only downside honestly is the service. I had to explain multiple times how I wanted the sandwich made with the toppings side by side and the person taking the order just wasn't really understanding what I was asking for. Even after explaining it again, it still wasn't clicking, which was frustrating. I've noticed this pretty much every time we come here. The staff never really seems approachable or friendly and the customer service could definitely improve, especially when tips are being requested. A smile and better communication would honestly make such a huge difference because the food is genuinely great. We also tried the matcha latte for the first time, and unfortunately it wasn't good at all. Maybe it's new, but it definitely needs some improvement. Overall, we still love coming here because the food keeps us coming back, but the service has consistently been lacking. Realistically the service is probably a 3, but because we love the place and the food so much, I'll still give it a 4. read more

A great find in St. Petes. A very cute shop turning out stellar bagels. They have a few menu selections or you can build your own. These are bagels done the right way-first boiled then baked to give them a nice chew. I opted for the Original Pete-lox, cream cheese, capers, pickled red onions, cucumbers. Finally stopped in. Awesome morning to sit outside and enjoy a bagel. Order online and they bring it out to you. After some review of the large menu I settled on the breakfast sandwich add bacon on everything bagel. Delicious! Soft and so flavorful. Bacon was awesome. Washed down with a caramel latte. Yum! I ordered the everything bagel with garden herb cream cheese and the bagel itself was amazing but I forgot to say toasted and they don't ask so don't forget. The bagel itself was very good but the cream cheese was not for me at all! It was almost spiced tasting or spikey it was strong and not for me. To note, I usually love garden cream cheeses and I'm a fan of green onions, cilantro, and basil so I'm unsure what it was. The coffee was okay as well. I have gotten bagels to go from Pete's Bagels and the quality of the actual bagel has always been good. This was my first time getting a sandwich and I think it'll be my last. It came to over $16 for one sandwich is this was the size of it. I could make a bagel sandwich identical to it with a lot more lox for half the price at home. Parking can be tricky but there's free 2 hour parking on Central that's easy enough. Overall a miss in my book. read more

As someone from upstate NY I am always on the lookout for a bagel sandwich but this just isn't it. The reviews sounded like it would be a good stop but it wasn't for us. The amount of cream cheese places throw on a bagel is wild. My family and I have been in St Pete for a week, and we can't stop going to Pete's bagels - it is SO good and it is FAST! My favorite has been the Sunny Pete on the Asiago Bagel.
