Wow, this place is outstanding!! It definitely deserves a higher Yelp rating. I'm so glad I tried it. My parents were in town and we wanted a quick lunch delivery. We were all incredibly happy with our choices! I got the veggie sandwich and added chicken. They gave generous portions of avocado and lettuce, and the sourdough bread was hands down the best I've ever had. Sooooo good! Perfectly toasted, too. So we are staying at the Moxie right across the street and my mom and I decided to stop here for coffee and tea. I am part of the rewards program where ever every dollar you spend you get coupons or points. Right now they are decorated for Easter/spring and they have brand new merchandise. They have a little bread keychains you can buy as well as hats and honey. All of their food, including their pastries and cookies are made with sourdough flour because sourdough is better for you. Service here is always quick and easy. You do have to wait a couple minutes though for your tea or coffee because there's normally only two barista girls for the entire place. The pastry case was still full with goodies We got our food about 25minutes after we ordered, which was a bit longer than expected. I also ordered my sandwich with no tomato, and saw that they had messed up and removed the tomato's before they called out my name- which was fine but still tasted the tomato on the bread. We ordered the Italian sandwich and the flamin' hot. Italian sandwich good, filled with a bunch of greens. The flamin' hot had a jalepeno sour dough with a nice spicy twist. Filthy dirty. Dust bunny falling on tables and all over your food. If you happen to sit in that central area. Yes, your eating this. Look up and you will see everything covered in layers od dust. There is no excuse for this. Simply management doesn't care. Which when you look around shows it self all over. Like a door that keeps slamming loudly cause no one fixed the door closer. Dirty floors and walls. The problem is that what you notice visually is a direct representation of the rest of the place. Lack of care isn't isolated it permeates in the kitchen, the food and the staff and it flows from the top down. Bottom line is it's pure bad management. This place is the CUTEST! currently all decked out for the holidays it is a very bright open space that feels very welcoming. Right now if you purchase a coffee they are serving them in fun holiday mugs! All of their sourdough treats look delicious but we came for a loaf of sourdough. Very cute space that mixes both a cafe, sandwich shop, and bakery in one. The concept focuses primarily on sourdough goods ranging from breads to decadent cookies and even frozen waffles. A great spot to meet with friends and it has a casual atmosphere with additional seating upstairs. WAIT TIME and ordering: While the dining area was super clean, the kitchen seemed to be pretty chaotic and messy. I couldn't help but wonder if there could be back of the house process improvements to help with order output. I experienced a long wait time (30+ mins), but they were upfront about the wait when I was ordering. Be mindful that ordering all happens in one place (I thought I had to order drinks from the cafe area) so be ready to order! It's also self service. Food: My friend and I love sourdough, so tried out two of their sandwiches. They were both super crisp and the bread was delicious! I got the Italian sandwich which was very good. I enjoyed the prosciutto on it. I did wish that instead of mayo there was more of the Italian vinaigrette or pesto. Sort of tripped and fell onto this cute place when visiting Mezzo next door and we were definitely glad we did! This is sourdough heaven - everything in the shop is made with some variety of sourdough. So if you're into that, this place is definitely for you. We got a bunch of things because we live quite a long drive away so we took some to go to try later. I got the Spicy Start with light sriracha & I was glad I asked for it light because it was still pretty spicy. The jalapeño cheddar sourdough has a solid kick to it. Overall I liked the sandwich, though one of my bigger complaints here is that, though they have water readily available, the cups are TINY so I think I had to go refill mine at least five times? It seems they usually have Diet Coke bottles available because there's a fridge with Coke but there wasn't any the day we visited. My favorite thing I had from here was the sourdough cinnamon roll with vanilla sauce. So sweet & so soft & flavorful. Would come back for a half dozen of those. I also had the brown sugar cinnamon poptart that was one of the best homemade pop tarts I've ever had. Family had some breakfast sandwiches too but they all said theirs were dry. It would help imo if they offered their eggs any style other than over hard - then the yolk would solve the dryness problem. We took home a garlic loaf and DEVOURED it.
