    Oktoberfest Breakfast sandwich
    Wendy S.

Love this Einstein's!! Large open area inside to sot and catch up with friends. The staff is friendly, and the food is great. Today had the new Oktoberfest breakfast sandwich... it is soooo good! Tried it about 2 weeks ago and had to go back to get it again. Will be sad when it leaves the menu. I wish their app had more options to alter what you order would be my only ask, and oftentimes I won't get some accommodations you can make via the app. But definitely a fan!!

    Bagel selection

Had a Sunday morning craving for a bagel and decided to check out Einstein bros. There was a crowd but everything moved quick! I ordered ahead online for the bagels and it was about a 15min wait. Once they were ready you can grab the order off the designated shelf they had for order ahead orders. There was adequate seating inside and many outdoor tables to hang out at. My only con was that my bagel wasn't crisply toasted and was a bit soggy. Other than that flavors were great! Worker were very friendly and fast. I'll be back to try their other menu items whenever the craving hits again.

    Empty bagel case

This is in response to my previous visit one month ago. I pre ordered a dozen bagels today because I knew I wouldn't be able to pick them up until early afternoon. When I arrived they told me they didn't have the bagels I pre ordered and if I wanted to pick something else out of the three varieties they had left I could. Since my last visit no response from corporate. This will be the last time I go to this Einsteins bagel store. It's not worthy of anyone's business in santee Choose another business to support

    Does that look toasted???

Once again we gave this place a try Does this look toasted? And I even asked for Double Toasted Not a spot of toasted anywhere !!!

Jaxson is kind, professional and patient. She made my first experience pleasant. The bagels are tasty and fresh. I really loved the ambiance.

Super fresh bagels and really great service as well! Went in to pick up 2 free bagels I got for taking a survey on a previous order, and they didn't even ask me to show the email with the confirmation or anything! Cashier was super nice with making a recommendations. Really great conversation and he even went and just picked up a bagel He recommended for me so I didn't have to wait in line when I wanted to get an extra (after realizing that I had another discount on my account). All the bagels were soft to just the right amount. Not rock hard like you get it. Some other places. Super fresh even the next day. Got the Asiago, Pumpernickel and Ancient Grain; all soft and nice. Used them to make breakfast sandwiches at home and they came out so well.

    Maplehouse Bagel

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and it was actually pretty good. I ordered the Maplehouse and it was great. It was a little too sweet for my liking. If I had tried a different bagel with it then it would've been perfect but I'm not big on sweets. I ordered that twice baked has brown thing that came as highly recommended but I wasn't fan. The food was picked up fast and presentation was great though. Neatly packaged and sandwich was sliced in half just how I like it.

Pros: * Amazing Bagels; it really is their specialty * Open Early * Easy to find parking Cons: * Expensive; 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 drinks were $30 * The fillings in the sandwich let down the bagel. Extra: * Recommend buying the gift cards from Costco for a reduced cost

We enjoyed a really good breakfast at Broken Yolk in Santee on a sunny Sunday morning…read more We arrived around 9:45 and the dining room was already hopping pretty good. We are bar sitters and found the "hook" open, so we took our seats. Luke was our bartender/server for the day. Luke provided excellent service. Super friendly dude. We hope that your knee is fixed Luke! A mimosa for Becky and a Modelo "NFL" for me to start. Bex ordered the Meat Lover's Skillet. Diced ham, bacon and sausage sauteed with bell peppers, onions, and home fries. Topped with scrambled eggs, Jack cheese and green onion. I chose a side of Biscuits and Gravy as I knew I would be sharing in the skillet. After about a 10-minute wait, our food was delivered. It was piping hot fresh out of the kitchen. Bex decided that she wanted a side of sourdough toast, Luke had it to us in less than two minutes, despite his bum knee. The skillet was a very large portion and easily fed us both with plenty to take home. Every component of the skilled was excellent. From the breakfast potatoes on the bottom to the gooey Jack cheese on top. The eggs were scrambled and seasoned well. The biscuits were super dense and really tasty. The gravy was thick and peppery. I did not need two biscuits. I only finished one. Only One biscuit with an additional ladle of gravy would have been perfect. It had been a while since our last visit to Broken Yolk. We were very impressed with the food and the service.

First time here and food was delicious and the coffee was very, very good. Getting that coffee…read morerefill was very difficult with how busy the servers were. As a coffee drinker you usually like one refill before your food arrives. A different waitress said they'd go and get us coffee, but never came back (forgot, which is understandable). Our waiter never checked on us until we flagged him down while he got coffee for the people next to us. Service was friendly, but lacking attention, and I wouldn't care to come again because of it, unless I was in the mood of being ignored or had an inkling to practice a lot of patience. The establishment could be a little less stingy on the payroll and hire at least one or two more people to help with the flow of customers. I read someone else's review regarding this same thing before coming here, so wasn't surprised, but still annoyed. It didn't seem like someone called out, and based on other reviews it seems that this is how they run the restaurant. Kids chicken strips were more like breaded filets, which I thought tasted good but my daughter thought it didn't (reminded her of fish sticks). I got the French toast trio, which was really good, although the crunchy French toast was too crunchy and dry and not that good (I wouldn't recommend it). Someone else got the lemon ricotta pancakes that tasted slightly like lemon, but there wasn't anything special with it besides powdered sugar on top and a couple thin slices of lemon. It'd be better with a lemon syrup or something. The pancakes are the size of your plate, or bigger than your hand for reference. Pretty full restaurant on a Wednesday morning during the summertime. Really loud too to where you almost have to yell across the table to speak. Usually annoyances are easy to deal with when you're served well. I'd recommend trying this place once, but I wouldn't care to come again, even though the food and coffee was really good.

Inside the shop they allowed people to bring their own trading card collection to trade with each other. They had specialty drinks made specifically for the show, Pokemon themed. There's a good amount of seating inside and seems like a good place to hang out or study. They have different books and board games around the shop too. I tried two drinks when I came. I got the coconut matcha because it was one of the themed drinks but wasn't impressed with it. I probably should've known better than to order matcha at a coffee shop but I'm a sucker for coconut. For my second (redemption) drink I got the Samoa which was a mocha, coconut, and caramel latte. This one was delicious. It had a great coffee flavor with a nice smooth caramel companion. It wasn't overly sweet and not bitter at all. The baristas were all great too. My drinks came out quickly despite it being busy with the show. Definitely a great coffee shop to check out!

Becky and I are not well versed in the world of fancy coffee, so we typically rely on those we are with to provide recommendations. Saturday we were on our own. We wanted a late afternoon pick-me-up and Kaffee Meister is a very short distance from our house. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the pleasant young woman behind the counter (I did not catch her name). I asked for two caramel iced coffees. She very nicely and patiently explained to me the different options of my generic "iced coffees" term. Lattes, cold brews, espressos, etc. Her recommendation was Caramel Frappes, so that is what I ordered. One with whipped cream (for Becky) and mine without. As I waited, I looked around the room. It was really cool. Very homey, neighborhood cafe vibe. A few tables and a couch and comfy chairs along with some tables and chairs dotted the room. The room was really nicely decorated. I liked the spiral staircase shelving. They have some outdoor seating as well. In addition to coffees, they offer a food menu. Pastries, bagels, açaí bowls, sandwiches and the like. I drive by Kaffee Meister almost daily and often I will see that they have live music which is cool. I waited maybe three or four minutes for my name to be called, and I was handed my two frappes. I like a simple cup o' Joe. Black, no sugar, no sweeteners. At home I drink Kirkland brand ground coffee from a drip coffee maker. That said, I really enjoyed the Caramel Frappe. It was not too sweet and retained subtle coffee flavor. Becky very much enjoyed hers too. Neither of us had ever had a frappe before. We were surprised by the milkshake-like creamy texture. They provided the perfect pick-me up we were looking for. About 17 bucks after tip. We'd return for sure.
