If you must suffer with Einstein, this is the only acceptable location in the NW suburbs. I was amazed by the obviously new employee who was friendly, helpful, and efficient. When I asked for my gift card balance to be checked, he didn't know how to do so, but I barely noticed because without attitude, he immediately summoned the manager for assistance. The manager was very polite with both myself and the new employee, and took it a step further to make sure I was a happy customer. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's a horrible entrance/exit from Meacham Road. If you're coming from the north, forget it. But at least your order will be correct, from pleasant people, and they don't have tattoos and piercings all over their bodies like the Palatine location people. Service industry people do not need to display holes and ink over their bodies while making/serving you food. Kudos Schaumburg, you're doing things right! I think you're the only location in Illinois that does. read more

The food and atmosphere were good but I found it to expensive for a plain bagel and orange juice.

The "Pastrami" was obviously turkey pastrami, there was barely anything on the sandwich I paid almost $9.00 for, they were horribly understaffed. The food was actually pretty gross tasting, don't go. read more

Six workers were overwhelmed by five customers (in two groups). It took a while to be acknowledged and then all they did was up-sell and make it difficult to get a bucket that had both regular and "gourmet" bagels. They were also unable to grab the correct bagels from the baskets (Chocolate Chip instead of Cranberry, etc...). Idiots! Plus, my wife's "tasty" turkey sandwich was made rather sloppily with sub-par ingredients. Einsteins would definitely be 5 stars from me if it wasn't for the awful service at the cash register every single time I come to this location. The people taking and making the orders are super quick but each time I come NO ONE is at the register. So you get the food and then no one is there to ring you up. My husband and I are good people so we waited at least like 5 minutes to finally have someone come over, but anyone could have easily just left. It's not like the lady working the register didn't see us either, she just didn't come over. She was "busy" doing other stuff. I just don't understand that there. The cushions on the booths also need to be fixed up. There are holes and patches missing in random spots. It hurts so much giving this only 3 stars because I literally love Einsteins!!! My favorite is the Nova Lox on asiago. They always give generous portions of cream cheese and lox so it's a complete winner! My husband usually gets the Tasty Turkey but this time he just got an Asiago bagel with onion and chive cream cheese- they reaaaaaally let him have a lot of cream cheese!! He ended up wiping some of it off, but if that was mine, you better believe I'd be going ham on it! Overall I have to say: food is great every single time and each different item, but if you're in a rush, or like a more cozy environment, wait until they can figure their stuff out. The Glenview location, would be much more appropriate for that. read more

The service here is too slow to attend to the needs of customer. You can never just walk In and out in under ten minutes. There are many employees present but they all stand around doing other things and not attending to customers. Happens every time I come in the morning. Have one person in charge of taking orders and another person should be charging the customers. I don't understand how to different terminals is efficient. read more

This is the perfect bagel not so big and not too small, its soft and not dense. Also the staffs are great and friendly. (thank you Lino for going above and beyond) Monday is such a good deal dozen for $7.00 but extra for more " fancy" bagel. The spreads are good, watch out for the jalapeno its a little bit spicy. read more

We have been coming to this location almost every weekend for 2 years and we order the same thing. I can say with confidence that the staff gets it wrong more than they get it right. From forgetting some of the main ingredients (like the mushroom in an asparagus mushroom sandwich) or the sauce that goes into a sandwich, there is almost always something wrong. The manager is nice and will always offer a new sandwich, but we don't want to turn around every time. read more

I was in this store strictly because of the new link between Caribou Coffee and Einsteins bagel. (I was devastated when they pulled Caribou out of IL) While I was there, they had some kind of a regional manager who was telling them how to run their store. He told them NOT to have a rug at their main entrance because he thought the main entrance was at the side door. He moved pretty much everything in the store around, was loud and incredibly disruptive to anyone who wanted to get any work done. The sandwich I had was thrown together quickly and was ok. The cooler was NOT caribou standards by look or taste (the gentleman making it barely added cool whip and when he loaded the cups under the espresso machine, missed the spout so my espresso didn't actually make it into the cups and thus not into my coffee.) I was disappointed since the last time I came I had a good experience. read more

I've been a fan of Einstein's for years, but this was my first time at this location. There was hardly anyone there and when I walked up to the counter there were no employees in sight. Finally someone came out from the back to help me. I asked for the Hummus Veg Out sandwich, a fruit cup, and a fountain beverage. They were out of fruit cups so I reluctantly got the much higher in calorie potato salad. As they were making my sandwich I was told they had to look for more roasted bell pepper in the back because they were out. Fortunately they found more bell pepper and I paid for my food. As I went to dispense my fountain beverage I discovered the ice machine was broken. Had to wait for the cashier to finish up with a new customer to ask her for ice. I felt for my first time experience they were out of an excessive number of key items. I drove back to work and unwrapped my sandwich - it was overly wet and made the bottom bagel soggy. It tasted awesome but it was messier to eat than an Italian beef sandwich from Portillos - now that is sloppy. I was pretty disappointed. read more

It was my first time here and the food was delicious. Lots of choices and everything looks yummy. However, the cashier was rude and corrected me in a disrespectful matter when I said the wrong name of a sandwich that I wanted. Although I should have read the menu more thoroughly, it was unnecessary to belittle me in a way that made feel like I did not want to come back. They spread the cream cheese so thinly across the bagel, you can see right through it across the entire surface of the bagel half. This was on two different bagels. I ordered a nova lox sandwich. No lettuce, one small slice of an unripened tomato that only covered half the bagel, 3 capers on one side, 4 on the other, and onion was sliced so thickly I couldn't eat it. My impression is they are trying to give the least amount of food possible to cut costs. Great American Bagel offers a much more generous, hearty bagel and/or sandwich for similar price. read more

So, I was not really quite awake yet, but I decided to stop here for a couple dozen bagels for my department and I was really impressed with the service. They take forever to get anything done. The employees could care less about waiting on you or paying any attention to the customers. Besides the fact that every time I come in here it takes way longer than it should they aren't very friendly at all. I asked one of the older male employees there a question about what soups they had (I didn't see on the menu) and he flipped out and in the meanest voice said they are always the same look at the menu. I was there several months ago and the service was terrible. I don't know if they were short on help or what the situation was. When I ordered my lunch and got back to work, I found that I got the person in front of me, her sandwich instead of mine. I called and got a free sandwich. But, I had to have waited in line a good 15 minutes or so..... I'll probably give them another try and hope the service will be better. read more

If you want burnt Bagel Dogs ( probably the same with other foods ) and to be overcharged this is your place to go. I ordered 2 bagel dogs the other day and they came to me burnt. I said why are they burnt and was told that is how the COMPANY wants them to be it is POLICY. The bagel was hard and hot dog shriveled and hard could not bite through. I called them and they said that is the way they are made COMPANY POLICY. I went back the next morning with the product and was told I should ask for them to be microwaved. Ok tried again and said that I would microwave them at work. I thought the problem was solved. Today I go in and buy 4 gourmet bagels and a bagel dog ( again I say I will microwave it at work ) I saw the $6.00 bagel Monday special and added that. Also got a cream cheese. I get to work and looked at the receipt and they charged me 11.98 for the bagels. Even after asking the women are these 6.00 and she says yes. My receipt shows 6.00 Monday under the description but they charged full price 11.98. I guess that is a way to bring in extra money ( hoping the customer is in a hurry and does not look at receipt ). I am sure they will tell me that is COMPANY POLICY again LOL when I go in for my refund of 5.98 ( I am sure there will be some excuse ). There have been other problems with hard bagels ( the cheese ones ) before. Switched to the plain ones and worked great till they got the NEW POLICY FROM CORPORATE to BURN food. So by all means go to this Einsteins if you are a fan of being OVERCHARGED and BURNT food. The staff is very friendly I have to say ( Maybe that is because they split the overcharges not caught at the end of the day. Should not get even that 1 star. read more
