A larger restaurant with basic decor. They are busy on the weekends! When I am craving an omelette, I goto RW. The omelettes are huge, light and fluffy. I get the veggie egg white omelette. This trip I was meeting Michelle F. She suggested this place and was very familiar with it. Actually she and I were meeting for the first time ever. Meals are so much more fun with fellow Yelpers. At 12:30 on a Thurs. the place was pretty empty. She brought to the waiter's attention that the coffee wasn't fresh so he made a new pot for us. I got the silver dollars and asked for extra butter when I ordered. I thought it was a strange practice that the butter they use is in packets. Never saw this at any other OPH. The service was good and we didn't have to really ask for anything, he was on top of our every whim. Handicapped bathroom was impressive as well, a good size stall and rail. read more

I had the strawberry crepes with a side of bacon and sour creme my friend had the Dutch Baby with powdered sugar and lemon. Both were very good. The food was delivered fast (about 15 minutes for the Dutch Baby) and hot. The restaurant was surprisingly crowded for a Tuesday but we were seated in a booth quickly. The restaurant is clean and wheelchair friendly. There is plenty of parking. $51. For breakfast was kind of steep but my extras were an additional charge and with coffees. read more

We stopped there on Friday, 4/10/26, returning from a trip. We hadn't eaten there for a long time, since we moved out of the area. They weren't very busy. We each had omelets, which were good. I had a side of pancakes, instead of toast. The pancakes were just ok. Their prices are on the higher side. Our total bill, including 2 coffees was just over $50, not including tip. So $60 for breakfast. The also charge extra for using a credit card instead of cash. The service was good. Overall, they could use a remodeling as the booths, etc. are getting worn. read more

This is a horrible location of the restaurant. I ordered omelettes and asked if I can have a bit more jalepeno peppers and some more salsa and sour cream. Its not written anywhere and the server nor anyone let me, the customer, know that they charge extra for them, and they made the decision to give me how many to bring without asking me and charged for every single one of them without letting us know. The omelette actually tasted horrible with extra jalepeno peppers. The manager came out and kept on arguing with me the customer that all restaurants do this and I told her no and gave her specific examples that other restaurants do not do this and she kept on arguing. Food was mediocre at best and ingredient used were horrible and most importantly, the service and the manager (some young woman) of the restaurant was the worst ever! I am never coming back here, they ruined my day and the worst customer service and worst breakfast restaurant I have been to. There are many other breakfast restaurants around here. I grew up going to Walker Brother's, so giving this place a try was an obvious choice. Basically the same menu and just as delicious! I ordered a vegetarian skillet (didn't see it on the menu but asked if it was an option) with scrambled eggs and a side of fruit plus decaf coffee. I also shared a side of pancakes. The hash browns were on top of the skillet which was a bit odd, but it tasted pretty delicious, and the pancakes were so soft and fluffy! The three stars is mostly because of the service. Our waitress was very sweet and clearly had a good relationship with regular customers, but she seemed to be a bit forgetful or slow with us towards the second half of our meal. We had to ask for our coffees/waters to be refilled a couple of times and that took a bit of time to happen (she forgot to bring back a water cup until we asked again). She forgot a side order of toast so we had to remind her as well as a couple of other things. Not a big deal at all, but I would just consider it as okay service! Overall tasty, mostly regular customers. Vibe is okay and good for small family outings! read more

Richard Walker's Pancake House is located right near the Roselle I-90 exit, near Golf Road, in a strip mall area, near Harold's Chicken Shack. Richard Walker has the breakfast brunch vibe of other diners such as an IHOP or a Denny's. Although they server yummy breakfast, they also have lunch items like wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. But yeah, breakfast is their thang! I had the apple pancake and if you have a sweet tooth, definitely give this one a try. It was tasty and delicious, with the right amount of apple and cinnamon syrup mix. I also had the grilled chicken sandwich, which came with lettuce, tomato, and a small side of fries. The chicken was A-OK, although the description of the sandwich said it was "moist", the chicken was not as moist as advertised. But it was A-OK. Service was decent, considering we had close to 20 at our table. No separate checks, so if you got someone who likes credit card points, let him/her pay for it has pay them back. Our waters weren't refilled timely, but our food and orders were correct. Overall, an A-OK experience. BATHROOM REVIEW: There are actually two bathrooms. One private bathroom in the back area, and a bathroom area near the middle of the restaurant. This review is for the middle of the restaurant's bathroom. Inside the mens' there is one urinal and two stalls. The urinal worked great and flushed properly. I didn't get a chance to check out the stall as someone was in there. I have been a long time, very loyal very satisfied customer. But. New management means an updated menu, sure. It also means smaller portions and that infuriating thing where they sneak a credit card charge on you at the very last moment, hoping you won't notice-- rank dishonesty, in my opinion. Thank you for the fast and plentiful breakfast delivery order. Everything was hot and fresh and the portions were huge! With sides, like hash browns and pancakes added to omelets and corned beef hash and eggs, we had more than enough food for 4 people and will make at least 2 other meals from the leftovers. We paired breakfast with our own coffee, tea and fruit. Ordering on Grub Hub was easy too. Our food arrived in less than an hour and cane with plenty of condiments, silverware and napkins. Sunday December 19, 2021, I came in to Richards as a first time customer. Just got off a plane from a red eye from work. I have my shoes untied and I walk in and the first thing the Hispanic waiter does is he looks at me, looks at my shoes and rolls his eyes as I ask him for a table vs the booth he pointed out to me without asking me for my preference when there is not another customer in the building. Already a bad first experience. Well, there went his tip, you don't judge a book by the cover, ever. In this day in time, service shouldn't be anything less than standard. It's too bad for my experience, then again, the level of service matches the quality of the food. Met some friends for a birthday breakfast today. It was my first, and last, time eating here. The place is kind of dingy. I asked the waiter if they had any gluten free options and he pointed out one on the menu. In the next breath, he told me they use the same waffle iron for regular and gluten free waffles, so there is obviously cross contamination. Not what I was looking for. I ordered 2 eggs, turkey sausage and hash browns. It took nearly 45 minutes to get our food. My eggs were OK, the sausage was overcooked and the hash browns were raw inside and flavorless. Coffee was Ok, nothing special. It cost $73 for 3 of us to eat basic breakfast food. I will never return to this dump again. Please save yourself a bad experience and stay away from this place. read more

Very good breakfast place, we came early after a "party night in Schaumburg" at Medieval times and a crappy stay at the hotel accross the street. Luckily it was not crowded at all there early and we had the run of the place. The pancake options are pretty amazing with the massive German style and savory kinds, we tried one of each, worth the wait to cook! Plenty of coffee, I was flying and happy by the time I left, got the smaller size pancakes because who wants to be even more oversaturated based on today's calorie portion?? Disappointed in the food quality. I ordered a sausage skillet and my friend ordered biscuits and gravy. My skillet didn't taste right and had more hash browns than eggs on it which is unusual. It was soggy as well. My friends meal one of the biscuits was rock hard like it was microwaved - we told the waiter when he came around and he just apologized and took 4.00 off the bill which was nice of him. We have gone here for the last 18 yrs and was looking forward as we haven't been here in a while just disappointed at the food for the price and reputation. read more

After celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, our group had a brunch here at this restaurant nearby. Service was super wonderful and our waitress was so patient in serving us with the many requests we had (we were very hungry!). I ordered some chocolate chip pancakes and the eggs benedict, which were both very delicious for the price. The eggs benedict wasn't the best I've had, but it hit the spot. I did try a bite or two of the Santa Fe Omelette, which was a commonly ordered dish for our table, and that tasted very delicious with some hot sauce and salsa that came with it. The manager was super nice, however our server named Lorenzo was very rude and not welcoming. When asked if we could separate check, he was quick to give an attitude of a response of, "We don't do separate checks on the weekend". I wanted to tel him to chill out and it was just a question. We were ok with one bill, we just wanted to know. We would've rather been served by the manager. The manager was very kind and asked us if the room we were in was a good temperature. We stopped by after a weekend mightymite football game on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was constantly full of patrons. The server's were struggling trying to keep up as people kept them running. I had an egg white veggie omelet, which was enormous. My father in law ordered a German Pancake, which took 20 to 30 minutes to arrive. But when it did, it took up most of our table. It was thin and moist, and served with butter, lemon and powdered sugar to make your own syrup. For a Saturday morning we returned to have breakfast at a restaurant we had last been to maybe ten years ago. (We are from out of town and only are in the Schaumburg area once a year, if that.) Richard Walker is at the tail end of a strip mall off of Roselle. We were seated immediately. We each ordered crepes: My girl had Strawberry Crepes while I had the Cherry Crepes. They came with orange sauce and whipped cream, which my girl used, and maple syrup, which we did not. The thinness and delicateness of a crepe matters, so making crepes well is an art. These crepes were not made by an artist. But they weren't raw or burnt, so they were edible. The strawberry and cherry fillings were yummy, however. The coffee was plentiful. The server (Juan) was satisfactory. The physical shape of the interior of the restaurant is tired and worn. The finish on our table, for example, was very bad, as if a hundred glasses of ice water had left water marks. Not a place that excites or draws us to return soon. This is the kind of restaurant that visitors to the area like us might return to in ten years. read more
