Then I experienced their service and quality. Making an appointment is ridiculously easy. There's constant communication from them when your car is being worked on. They give you everything not only in writing but in an email that you can say if so you can plan future work. They help you know what needs to be done immediately and what can be deferred to another visit. That is almost unheard of. I'm so used to getting a high pressure sales pitch every time my car goes in. That doesn't happen at Grove Street. You're given a list and almost like a to-do list you receive things that are immediate concerns, things that can be deferred and things that are acceptable and already being worked on. They have loaner cars if you need them and they even offer shuttle service to and from your house. Everything is explained in advance and their prices are incredible. It's a great value. I've not had a bad experience and I've been there at least 20 times between my two cars. I can't recommend them enough

I had R&R change a water pump for me and I was really happy with the work that David the owner did…read more After driving just under 15,000 miles the water pump died again and I bought my vehicle back in thinking it would be covered under warranty. After David looked at it I went back in to talk to him and he tells me that I had a blown head gasket and it would cost $6,000 to get it fixed. I told him to put it back together and I would fix it myself. When I got it home I noticed parts were missing and hoses weren't connected. After further investigation I realized that the head gasket was not blown and it was just a water pump. Water pumps are suppose to last 80,000 to 100,000 miles. David the owner ether has lack of knowledge on how to diagnose or he was trying to scam me out of $6,000. I would never go back or recommend this shop to anyone.

Example: my Mercedes extended warranty expired so I got a quote for out of pocket to do the "service A" or "service B" package. $350 or $800 -- they would decide once they started work. Dealership also said the car needed engine filter for $225 and spark plugs. Keegan's did service A package (plus seal ring and synthetic motor oil ) for $130 and filter for $17.50. Spark plugs are "fine -- do them next year." Altogether, Keegan's saved me at least several hundred dollars and kept me from the gamble of upcharges that are a structural part of dealership service centers. I do not blame the system: it is what it is. There is dramatic overhead for a business selling, financing, and servicing cars -- along with managing an enormous lot. It is expensive and the money must come from somewhere. But once a car's service is out of pocket and IF you still want the best level of attention for the car: Keegan's is an unbeatable shop. These guys KNOW Land Rovers on an almost spiritual level. Let's face it, Land Rovers/Range Rovers are a specialist vehicle, you just can't go to the local garage and expect them to know these complex machines, they can be temperamental but the rewards are so sweet.. I have had several maintenance and preventative maintenance jobs done on my baby and each time i've been blown away by the transparent honesty of the staff. On a recent oil change visit the guys changed my oil and filter and i was on my way home when suddenly smoke appeared from under the hood. For me.......Very scary. Called Jim who was genuinely concerned about my safety and wanted the truck back ASAP. Upon my return the mechanics came out like an E.R. team and had my hood, engine cover and me removed from the O.R. stat! A defective oil seal gasket was the root cause, a simple manufacturing defect had sprayed oil all over the entire engine bay (after the car got warm) and of course the oil was running out like a waterfall from every nook and cranny. After they had replaced the filter and gasket and topped off the oil JW's didn't want me to take my car that day, they wanted to keep the patient for an over night stay for observation and they put me in a rental car. Next day Jim kept me informed on the up to date going's on and the mechanics wanted to thoroughly go over every part of the engine to make sure there were no other issues. I got to pick up my car the next day, when i got to the garage my baby had been to the spa! New oil and filter change, and spotlessly clean, i knew they were going to power wash and degrease the engine to get rid of all the oil that had sprayed out but i didn't realize they were going to do a full detail on the entire car, all at no charge!!! Customer service is a priority for these guys and when it comes to my car i'm a demanding customer, i'm the guy that goes around the car with a white glove after a service, i've had my car from new and she's almost 9 years old now (106 months!) i know every inch of my baby and she's never looked or felt better!

My wife owns a 2012 Land Rover and I brought her car in to have an oil change and a pre-existing issue looked into. After a ballpark of around 6-8 hours and asking to agree to 3 separate diagnostic fees costing $450-$500 and that's correct diagnostic fees. I was later told we can't find anyone wrong with my transmission shifting but some contraption or gauge needs to be looked at. Now, here's the interesting thing here. I had to call them as it was getting late and there's no courtesy transport available. So, not on was I unconvinced I was overcharged and had to go out my way after hours to pick up my vehicle and was told don't arrive too late as the Police take notice. If you're a pre-existing customer you probably look at my post and say this guy is crazy but I got to tell you this place will take your money and then accuse you of not reading the fine print. Good Luck to anyone that trust this company. I'll be making sure that this is public knowlege.
