This place is located inside the whole foods building on the second floor! Park in the whole foods parking lot and they will validate your parking for up to 2 hours! Each bowl was $13 which I thought was a bit pricey for the portion but the food was delicious. The shitake noods was more on the sesame flavor side and the pork noods was more on the peanut buttery side. The pork was more spicy but I really enjoyed both! The noodles were different in shape so that's how you know they were hand pulled and they were so chewy which I loved the texture. There was a lot of pork and a lot of shitake so that was a plus! read more

My friends and I came here for the first time last week to check out this place in person. It's in a cute area situated on the 2nd floor of Whole Foods. Cruised in a minute before closing and the workers there made a point to whip up whatever I wanted, making it clear that it was not a problem at all. This place makes everything from scratch. The Fiery noods are hand-pulled noodles with a sauce that is borderline perfect. I had the minced pork but I could imagine the mushroom substitution is fantastic as well. I've been bouncing around trying different ramen places in the area, but this dish is the best yet. Also went ahead and got the harbor hen, which I certainly could not finish bc of how big it is! Solid noodle spot in an unconventional location! We were looking for a spot to eat in the area and were looking for a place that wasn't a sit down place. Low and behold we find this spot on the top floor of Whole Foods. The cafe floor holds plenty of seating for Ejji and the food stall next to it, with some outdoor seating as well. The tables and chairs are new, welcoming and are plentiful on a Tuesday afternoon. Ejji has a relatively simple menu with sandwiches, select signature noodle options and a build your own ramen option. We decided on the fiery noods (shiitake and ground pork) as well as the wet bird. The fiery noods were delicious, full of hand pulled noodles and a creamy sauce. The sauce consisted of what I think was sesame sauce/peanut butter and mala (numbing chili from peppercorn). I will say that there was more cream/sauce in the ground pork one vs the shiitake (minor inconsistency). Another thing to note is that if you're not used to hand pulled noodles they're a little thicker/chewier/doughier than your typical noodles. As for the wet bird, the ramen was solid, with the meat being perfectly tender and a good amount of spice. Worth a shot if you're in the area and craving Asian food! read more

Did not expect to find the best Korean style wings in town at the Whole Foods. Make sure you get the fiery ground pork noods too.

This place was so hard to find so it almost didn't happen. I was craving ramen and was near here so I stopped in. I saw that their tagline says "Baltimore's best ramen" and that they were rated best ramen in 2022. The only way they won that title is if they entered the competition by themselves. Respectfully my ramen just had no flavor, I got the spicy miso pit beef ramen and the spice was there but no flavor. Now the wings?! The wings were 10/10! Those were juicy, flavorful, and crunchy. Very delicious comfort food! Perfect for takeout on a cold or rainy night. I kept seeing pics of the Fiery Porky Noods on insta and it looked so, SO delicious I couldn't wait to try it... the actual dish lived up to the images... it was a absolutely delicious, spicy and heavenly. They use Mobtown Bewery 51 Rye in this dish, I love local businesses supporting each other! I also ordered the Wet Bird, this was also delicious, not as spicy, which was a good compliment to the Fiery Pork Noods. I was definitely in a food coma before finishing these dishes (I should say I split this all with my hubs), very filling, rich and gluttonous dishes for sure! When picking up... it's not super easy if you have never been. Go inside Whole Foods and make your way to the elevator vestibule and go to second floor, EJJI is in a little food court area to the right. Discovered this place on instagram and I'm so glad I did! I used to go to their Belvedere Square location (back when they gave out cute little trading cards) and loved their ramen. This past weekend, my friend and I tried this location on Saturday and absolutely loved it! It's conveniently located on the second floor above the Whole Foods. We stopped by Ejji first to place our order and the lady at the counter was incredibly nice. My friend doesn't have the highest tolerance for spice, and we were interested in the fiery noods, but the lady let us try the sauce!! It was super yummy and not that spicy. We ended up ordering the fiery noods with pork as well as the fried chicken. We absolutely loved both. The hand pulled noodles were fresh, had great bite to them, and went perfectly with the super flavorful pork. I also loved the fried chicken--the sauce was salty, sweet, with the slightest tang, which was delicious. Can't wait to come back. Hope this location continues to do well. Tucked away on the 2nd floor of the new Whole Foods, this spot is churning out show-stopper beer noodles paired with good to the last drop sauces and a whole spectrum of toppings. I ordered the Sesame Garlic Noods with extra spice and could not put my utensils down! The noodles are thick with just the right touch of hops flavor, cooked to a perfect al dente texture. Let's talk sauce. Along the lines of a Dan Dan five spice flavor profile, it was the perfect compliment to elevate but not dominate the dish. Sides of the sesame oil and red chili spice allowed me to customize away on heat level! As a vegetarian, I was in heaven with the amount of toppings--from the pillow soft shiitakes and sweet corn, to flavorful grilled squash and melt in tour mouth charred tomato. Did I mention that this bowl also comes with veggie gyozas? Just lightly pan fried so you get that slightly chewy crispy dumpling texture with a flavor bomb filling. EJJI is always a go-to for me when I want a cozy, comforting, upscale ramen dish. I loved to go in person back in the day and try whatever their daily special was - always creative, always tasty. Their buns are also good! My go-to is definitely the Tonkotsu ramen bowl, the pork belly is definitely a must-try. I've never had that style of crispy fried pork belly anywhere else. I used to get all the different spicy sauces, but now that they're $.50 apiece, I pick the hottest, which I believe is the red sambal. I loved taking friends to this place and now it's great for takeout (GrubHub delivers!) What do you do when it's cold and dreary out and you happen to be on the East side of the beltway? You go to your old haunts and see if they are open for noodle soup. Sadly, Ejji in Belvedere closes at 3pm on Sundays but I remembered that Ejji (well their website reminded me) has a stall at Whole Foods in the city. After a quick glance at the menu, I knew exactly that hand pulled noodles were on my wish list for my meal. The boy was lured in with the promise of noodles.. and to his dismay ramen is NOT served at this location. They do have a limited menu at Whole foods, 2 noodle options (one broth-y, one saucy) and two sandwich options. Perhaps not what the boy was thinking -- he wanted ramen, after all it IS Ejji Ramen. He was still pleasantly surprised with his choice -- The Wet bird. The broth hit the spot with him on the Ramen-esque notes. Don't get me wrong, this is no ramen, so no milky broth with that silky after taste. This broth was much clearer but also due to the bonito flakes that were put in the soup had a nice smoky flavor. I ended up with the fiery noods and boy did that deliver on flavor. I think it was a tad on the saltier side for me but spicy, salty, pork and noodles. When we get ramen we typically add extra veggies to our broth and I think the next time i get the fiery noods i may be tempted to see if they could do half mushroom half pork and add some veggies. I also ended up getting a side of pan fried dumplings -- they were meh. Good i suppose but not as good as the noodles. read more

This ramen is off the chain! I felt bad for cheating on Kippo but i'm really glad I checked this place out. It's not your traditional ramen--I had the wet bird, which was perfectly seasoned and really satisfying and my girlfriend had the veggie ramen special (w/pumpkin gyozas) which she said was amazing. The beer noodles are really flavorful and have a great chew to them. We came here on a nice day and enjoyed the outdoor seating.
