Eric is the best! He was very responsive when I was calling to ask about a quote and ended up stopping by the next day to take a look at my bathroom vanity that I spilled vinegar on. He had all his tools handy and fixed the problem in about an hour (he also gave me so many useful tips and went above and beyond). Also, it turns out I had a man made material instead of natural stone and he was still able to get the etch out. You can see the before and after here. So good. Amazing Service! The best thing about Eric is that he is an owner/operator so he actually does the work himself. He has been in the business over 30 years and is super knowledgeable! My husband's brother threw up on our travertine and it stained/etched the stone and then he tried to clean it by putting baking soda (bad idea) on it which just dulled our finish and Eric was able to fix both problems! I called around before having him come out and not only did he seem the most competent and give me the best information but he also was surprisingly the least expensive! A double win! Eric also didn't give me the hard-sell like other floor companies did about wanting to have me pay to polish my entire floor because I have young kids and he realized I just wanted the problem fixed. He offered to polish it but agreed with me and didn't pressure me at all when I declined. Another wonderful thing about Eric is that he is super fast! The BEST alternative to saving money if you need to replace or polish your Marble, Granite, Travertine, Tile, and Grout. The guys at EK Marble are amazing! They're very knowledgeable in their products, very professional, respectful, clean and take the time to really explain every alternative I had within my budget. I really can't say enough about how happy I am in their services. Back in 2010 my older sister moved from Georgia and bought a small house in Irvine California. The only problem she had was her kitchen counter-top- it had this small crack in the center, but she didn't think anything of it, unfortunately over time it got worse and needless to say she needed a new top top ASAP. The only problem is, is the cost of granite, it is ridiculously expensive! I called Home Depot and a few other places, and the prices they quoted me were outrageous, it was enough to put a down payment on for a new car. I was beginning to see why my sister put off this project as long as she did. Luckily for me, my uncle also lives in Irvine California, and he recommended EK Marble & Stoning for some work they did on his house... I'm definitely glad that he did because I ended up saving close to $2,000 dollars to get the kitchen top restored as opposed to buying a new set and paying for labor at Home Depot. The best part is it took them less than 4 hours to repair the counter-top, and they even cleaned the tile for us absolutely free. in fact, it looked so good, that by the time my sister got home from work she was ecstatic because she thought we had bought her a new kitchen counter. I had a red candle next to my off-white limestone fireplace. Yep, the fire melted it and splat! Red wax all over. I called everyone with a decent review on Yelp in a panic. The first guy (not EK) came out, looked at it for a hot second, and quoted me $600. I thought no way Jose. Eric said he could come out the next day. He did. He looked at it and looked at it and asked questions about the material, age, etc. He did his research before he tackled it. He suggested using some chemical to remove it first (the cheaper route) and then if that didn't work, we'd dig in deeper. After 40 minutes it was almost completely gone. He suggested we stop there and not get risky to get out the barely noticeably last spot. He didn't push me for more business - my house is full of stone. Oh, and did I mention it was less than $200! I have over 2500 sq ft of limestone floors installed, and the original installer left some huge issues behind. (Different hones on sections, grout dust sealed into the floor, discoloration from too wet mud used in one area) At least 3 contractors told me I needed to call EK to fix the problems, one of which referred to Eric as the "stone whisperer!" He left my floors in wonderful condition, sticking with it for hours until they were just right. I've since had him back to fix dog stains and a scratch (totally my fault!) and the results are again perfect. Oh, and yes - very reasonable pricing. We have a black marble vanity that was installed 7 years ago as part of a downstairs bathroom upgrade. The black marble was carried into the shower enclosure as accent pieces. The vanity had been lightly etched with cleaning chemicals. We had tried to polish it out ourselves, with minimal success.
