There's a new (and very fragile) connection to the iTouch / home button which is easy to break - which I did. I also managed to break the ribbon connection when trying to install the new battery. I went to the mall to see what my options were for a new iPhone. As luck would have it, I noticed The Fix which is near the SEARS entrance on the second floor. The gentleman was friendly and said he could repair the phone. I returned with the phone. No frills, wasn't going to be doing gaming, etc. Just needed another workhorse. The owner had one on the counter that he assured me was barely used, was not considered used. HP 250 G6 with 15" screen, yada yada. I paid a little over $500 for it. It has only been used for light word processing and telehealth during the pandemic. I used doxy for file storage so the computer isn't actually using much storage space. My 2006 HP is still running!!!, it's just that it won't support Windows or doxy and it's slow as heck. I have 2 Used Lenovo's I bought off of Ebay in 2014. They technically still run, but same software update issues. 4 YEARS almost to the day, the HD has died! I'm pretty sure he sold me a Dud!!

Also, ran so slow, I could go and do something (such as washing dishes) and come back before it would be up and running. Brian gave me some possible scenarios including a mother board. Fortunately for me, he found the broken fan that would stop and start, and other fans tried to accommodate for the issue and heat buildup. Brian called me, told me timeline and pricing and got the go ahead from me. Was able to pick up the next day with additional tips to make it run better. Before I had tried many, the machine was much faster, quieter, and no "not responding" messages or shutting down. My brother confirmed how much take down and putting back was required to make the repair. So happy I did. Can have multiple tabs open and do multiple thing at same time without issues and taking up my whole day.
