Fajita Nachos Lunch

Attentive wait staff , nice interior , full menu , reasonable priced . Large serving ! Great taste . On a long road trip home , pleasant change from McDonald's

Chicken chimichanga (lunch portions) with rice, beans, sour cream, pico and guac.

A day that I wanted just a beef burrito with red sauce...it hit the spot! The rice was fluffy and the beans were..beany . Tried the grilled Nopales (cactus).. not my thing..didn't really have much of a taste and even though it was grilled..the inside was slimy (just nope for me). The place was clean and the ppl were nice

Milanesa plate

The milanesa was super good. Big portion and tender. Some of the best milanesa we've had in a long time. The salsa was bland for us so ordered the tasty pico de gallo. Now that was good in flavor and a nice size bowl. Choice of tortillas was a nice touch.

Shrimp fajitas

Great food. I'd say typical fare done well. Kids menu reasonable and with the chips and salsa my kids were all full. Chipotle steak fajitas, chicken fajitas and shrimp fajitas were all great. We ate outside, but the inside was packed. Outside tables were fairly distanced. Could have been more so for my taste. But it was great food and great service. All servers had masks on 100% which was a relief. Great job, El Mazatlan!

a plate of mexican food

I ordered a chimichanga and I was presented with a tortilla with barely any steak on top of a pool of oil. It was not edible. My friend ordered the carne asada and it was way over cooked, not burnt but had no flavor, no seasoning. It took me 25 minutes to write this cause I couldn't stop complaining to my friend. In this span of 25 minutes I have not had any service.

The Pina Fajita is ridiculous. Amazing! I like the chicken steak mix in mine.

El Mazatlan - Fajita Taco Salad

After a day exploring Kentucky Down Under, we hit up El Mazatlan for a late lunch. It was a…read morebeautiful day outside, so we chose to eat on the patio. There was a covered portion, but we stayed in the sun to stay warm in the cool spring air. The server sat us immediately and brought us complimentary fresh chips and salsa. We were starving, so we gobbled them up while flipping through the extensive menu. The servers brought us extra chips and salsa while we waited for our food and drinks. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and two steak tacos off the à la carte lunch menu (until 3pm daily). There was a $0.99 upcharge each for grilled vs shredded chicken and carne asada vs ground beef, and it was totally worth it. My daughter ordered two grilled chicken quesadillas as well. And our friends ordered beef nachos and a fajita platter. All of it was delicious, with large portions. I had a couple of house margaritas, which were tasty and a steal at just $5.50 each. My only complaints were that the queso dip was rather small and not worth the $5, and (like most places) they charge way too much for a soda ($3.25). The service was excellent. Our server Juan was friendly and very attentive, and several others checked in on us throughout our meal to ensure we were taken care. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Cave City, Hidden River Cave, or Kentucky Down Under.

I'm on the fence between 3* and 4* here. Anyhow, it's white people taco night food. Steak fajitas were fine--steak was underseasoned and a bit chewy, but peppers, guac, and pico were relatively fresh. Tortillas were soft, rice and beans were lukewarm and nothing special. Food came out extremely fast, and I appreciated the big portions after a long day of hiking. Deep fried ice cream wasn't my favorite but maybe it's just not my thing.

Rating fast food chains low is often silly---it typically is what it is. If you like Taco Bell,…read morechances are it's close to the same at any location. My reason for choosing to review this TB location and to rank it low is because as of Dec 2024, there's been a massive national ad campaign of "reliving the '90s" with a $7 "Luxe Cravings Box" featuring old classic Taco Bell menu items. Problem is, this location is charging $12 for that box. Every menu item at this location was 1.5-3x higher than any other Taco Bell I've visited this year. Yes I understand fairly paying workers and inflation, etc.--but the former isn't as high as it should be, the latter has been lower for months, the company shows a profit, and the national ad campaign promises better prices than this location delivers.

I'm going to start this off by saying that Taco Bell is my favorite fast food. It has been since…read morethe late 70s (did I just date myself?). Even though I worked at Taco Bell for over 9 years, it's still #1 for me. This location has, for months now, been my dinner location on my monthly trip to Nashville. It's right off the expressway and it's easy to get in and out of. The staff here has always been friendly and helpful. On my most recent visit the young lady at the counter apologized for taking so long to get my food (it really wasn't very long at all) because they were celebrating a birthday. Hey, No Worries from me! Birthdays are important. If it means I had to wait two or three minutes longer it is 100% not an issue. On this particular visit I decided to try the new Dipping Taco. It amazes me what Taco Bell can do with their ingredients because, let's face it, the bulk of their menu items are just different arrangements of the stuff they already have. For the Dipping Taco they've added brisket...and I'm not even kidding when I say it is AwesomeSauce! I make it a point to try every new item that Taco Bell comes out with. This is definitely in the Top 5 of All Time. The colour scheme of this location, with a heavy presence of what I'm going to call Teal, is refreshing. One wall is decorated with taco sauce packets (not real taco sauce packets because that would probably start to smell and attract ants) that are set against a vertical background of colourness. It's actually very eye-catching. In over a half dozen visits to this location the dining room has always been clean and tidy and they do a good job of checking in on it pretty regularly. Typically one of the downfalls of any fast food dining room is the drink station because, by and large, people are slobs and don't clean up after themselves when they get their drinks. One strange thing about this location is that there is no mirror in the bathroom (and if you're now singing "Mirror in the Bathroom" by English Beat, we need to be friends). None. Let me direct you to the photo that I took illustrating the complete lack of a mirror. (it's around here somewhere). I don't know if there isn't one by design, or if it got broken and they just decided they didn't need it. My only real "complaint" isn't so much of complaint as it is a statement of person preference. I'm not a fan of the patently country music that plays overheard. Not really a bad thing, but I'm not really a fan of country so it's just not my taste. It won't keep me from visiting.
