Grown-up Tuna sandwich, which is minced raw ahi tuna with soy sriracha mayo and pickles on egg bread roll. This was the best tuna salad ever created and produced! This is basically tuna poke on a sandwich and we all loved it. We were upset when we were done! Should've ordered two. LOL. Seared tuna salad, which is seared tuna with pickled carrot, red onion and wasabi vinaigrette. We thought it was pretty good. The tuna was seared nicely. Hubs think they should have a lightly seared tuna sandwich, too! LOL Chicken salad sandwich, which is chicken salad on egg bread roll. Hubs said that this was good, too. Their rolls are really soft here. I asked if we could buy another roll but was told that we have to order another sandwich. The owner makes enough rolls for his sandwiches. We also ordered soup but forgot the name of it. I think it was carrot ginger and it wasn't bad. The owner was giving us little samples of all his soups, as soon as we walked in. Service was really friendly and patient. Will definitely return to try that tuna salad sandwich again!

We started with the meatballs, hubby had the calzone, which to me is really a two meal dish and 1/2 half goes home... I'll get back to that. I like the white clam sauce with linguine it's delicious, it's another large portion and 1/2 went home with us.... because they have zeppoles YES!!! Now they are light, airy and have tons of powdered sugar on them and I am ok with that- if you need a sauce they come with chocolate sauce on the side- my husband likes them this way--- but I prefer raspberry sauce myself, I'm not Italian and I have been told by my hubby's family and Italians it's powdered sugar only and if you need sauce, would chocolate or Nutella be allowed! ! end of discussion lol- .......but here I am sitting on my couch eating "our" zeppoles with powdered sugar and raspberry sauce, typing on my keyboard with powdered sugar fingers!! and he's legit cringing !! never again I am not the guy who likes to try nee places…read morewhen I have the great places already. here is a perfect example. first off, if uou want great pizza in this area, Romeo33 and Bacco are you places to go!! always incredible. a friend of mine wanted to try this place. Sat at bar and ordered meatball app - not bad - then ordered margharita pie - in this day and age, when pizza has become a gourmet situation and thr world has become obsessed, I would think that anyone selling it should be on their game. it came out and the mozzerella was sour - I had guy taste it and he agreed. after i figured let me be safe and order regular and specificall said a few times, light cheese and extra sauce. pie comes out alot of cheese and little sauce and quite honestly the regular mozzerella also tasted a bit sour. I was willing to live with it. my issue aside from bad food is when bill came, I expected guy to either comp the pizza or offer coffee or something.... not only did he not do it but he kept charge for margarita when i had a regular which is cheaper. save your time and money and go to one I listed above - you will not only be happy, but you will now have 2 go-to places that are on point 100% of the time

Along Howell Township, you will find this Mexican restaurant within this gas station. I have been…read morewanting to go there ever since discovering that chicken mascot a while ago. Brand: 5/5 El Buen Taco and Grill fits within this gas station in Howell Township, and I will say that it fits well, for it contains so much potential. It manages to evoke the Mexican restaurant vibe, which would not have been effective if it did not bring me there in the first place. Inside, you will find many aspects of Mexican cuisine everywhere, from the beverages to the candies to the menu dishes. I did like the brochure design, though I am not sure if the establishment is undergoing a name change. I am going to miss the chicken mascot if it does. Website: 5/5 Coming to the opening page immediately sold me on this establishment, for you are greeted with the chicken mascot during the loading screen. The red-and-green color scheme exemplifies the website, and the functionality of the website feels slick with a few exceptions. You are also brought to the description of the eatery, along with the menu that brings you various meals, from breakfast to lunch, though the images at at the bottom of the page. They also offer catering. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not have to worry about waiting for my order, even though I abruptly said "No" when asked if I needed anything else with my order, just to search around. Ambiance: 4/5 The Mexican music plays over the radio with a welcoming volume. You will also find a coffee machine. There are also glass counters showing the various dishes. While every part of the interior seemed festive, I did not find a place to sit at. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana, which consists of scrambled eggs with onions, tomatoes, hot peppers, rice, beans, sides of hot sauce and green sauce, and a couple of rolls, with a Bocadin chocolate bar. Every part of the dish had a well-prepared texture, from the rolls to the ingredients. The rolls held their form every time I added the ingredients. While I did think onions had some crunchy texture, I nonetheless enjoyed the scrambled eggs, while the rice had the right amount of seasoning. For more than one year, I have been trying to keep up my bean intake, but I never would have thought that beans could be prepared so savory as the ones in this dish. That just might be my most favorite part of the dish, with the gravy somehow adding to the taste with every bite, whether eaten by themselves or within the rolls. Service: 5/5 The owner managed to take my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The authentic Mexican cuisine absolutely reflects El Buen's brand, from the website to the very plastic container with my order. While I did get my order on time and the food was appropriately cooked for the time it took, I did think that the establishment would have needed more people working there, even if it was a small, gas station eatery. After a day of snow, I will say that the Huevos a la Mexicana managed to warm and fill me up throughout the day, and the owner put a lot of work into it. The greatest contribution food can give you is if it gives you a positive feeling throughout the day. The dish managed to do that, despite a winter day or even no place to sit at inside. Nonetheless, the ambiance did not dissuade me from waiting patiently. If anything, it accurately reflected the overall brand. My order did come with a free soda or water, which I politely declined both offers. In which case, I will absolutely say that the order was well worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars Small eateries that have large amounts of good tastes give me hope, and El Buen is no exception. This establishment has so much potential. I would consider it a third choice for Mexican cuisine, but I would always want to try more of the menu items. Recommend To... Anyone looking to immerse themselves with Mexican cuisine and treats (of course, specifically anyone looking to brush up their Spanish language knowledge). I also recommend El Buen to anyone who works on the road and need a quick, filling meal.

We started an order of Mussels with a lime and cilantro sauce, Shrimp Torte (artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, shitake mushrooms, capers and green olives - in a white wine sauce topped with feta cheese), along with Octopus. Everything was terrific! Entrees consisted of a huge Cioppino consisting of shrimp, mussels, clams, wild cod, escargot, octopus and crab legs in a shrimp tarragon sauce over spanish risotto - way too big to finish! Branzino with oven roasted tomatoes over yellow corn risotto. Pistacio encrusted wild salmon with fingerling potatoes and butternut squash. Chargrilled Rack of Lamb with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. To finish off a terrific dinner we ordered the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Torte, Hazelnut Baclava and Banana Foster. For apps we ordered hummus and peaches with a sweet sauce and blue cheese. Both were pretty good - the pita bread along with the hummus was served nice and warm! The peaches were ok, there was a weird tasted afterwards. Like a processed taste. I couldn't put my finger on it. After 2 bites I was good. I ordered the Moroccan chicken for my entree. It was pretty good. Flavor was there, wish it came with more couscous. Now, the pricing of the dishes I don't really agree with. I know of other Mediterranean restaurants that offer really awesome dishes and the portions are bigger for a lesser price.
