This was so delicious - I ordered postmates. I was expecting over easy eggs but they gave me scrambled, it's ok tho. I had to write a review cause for the price, it was chefs kiss. I would order from here again!

I had no idea this was the sister restaurant to the one down the street, El Buen Gusto, until I saw the menu and asked to confirm. Family run Mexican and Salvadoran restaurant with delicious authentic and traditional meals. I always get their pupusas and carnitas and they don't disappoint. Sometimes I order a 32 oz to go cup of refried beans because they're so good. I bet they use the lard from the carnitas; delicious!!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

My previous experience here has mostly been ordering pupusas for pick-up. Today we met with some friends visiting from out-of-state. The restaurant was very busy, which is a great sign. Lunch time on a Monday. I can't remember if Bueno Gusto was ever that busy. We had a large party, so we got to sit at the round table. We all ordered their pupusas, which were good as always. My son got the carne asada tacos, which he enjoyed, now that he has become more adventurous with his eating habits. I'm very glad to have this restaurant near me and that they are doing well. I highly recommend them!

Wow! This reminded me of my mom's home cooking! The food was amazing! Taste was perfection! I had the carne guisada plate, my wife had the Salpicón with casamiento and the kids had pupusas! All had authentic Salvadoran flavor. I'm from the SGV but definitely would return. The service was great minus a little glitch with a pupusa we ordered! Overall the place was great! Prices were reasonable and enjoyed the vibe and colors of the place! Reminded me of the culture and ambiance! Will say loved the refrescos de Cevada and Ensalada típico drinks of El Salvador!

The meat is smaller than standard portion

I am very disappointed with this business. I placed a pickup order over the phone, and when I got home, I realized the portion of meat was neither a reasonable nor a standard size, especially for the price I paid. Honestly, I expected more for what they charged me. I don't think I'll be ordering from here again unless they improve the quality and value of their portions.

I order two orders of empanadas, in Guatemala we call them rellenitos. Easy to order over the phone and pick up was about twenty minutes. Quick. Kind staff and I was in and out in no time. My grandmother enjoyed them! We got the ones with frijoles but they also offer them with leche. I wish my photo did it better justice. I look forward to trying some of their dishes and not just their desserts next time.

We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

I came across Mi Pueblo and noticed all the consistent 5-star reviews, so we decided to give it a shot. Glad we did! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of large tables, so it seems like a great spot for families or bigger groups. Our server brought out chips pretty quickly, and these were definitely not your typical Mexican chips. They were drizzled with beans, which was such a nice little twist. We also got salsa and the traditional curtido. We ordered pupusas and two main dishes. The pupusas were huge, cheesy, and full of flavor. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. The chicken guisado was nicely presented and had all those traditional Salvadoran flavors I was hoping for. The surprise of the night was the salpicón. I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually really good and probably something I'd order again. If you like salpicón, I definitely recommend giving it a try. Overall, we were not disappointed at all. Good food, generous portions, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. After our last experience, Mi Pueblo was a refreshing change. I can definitely understand why this place gets so many great reviews. We'll be back!

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

I've actually traveled to El Salvador before, so I've had the opportunity to experience the food there firsthand. If you've been to El Salvador and know what authentic Salvadorian food is supposed to taste like, this place will bring back some memories. In my opinion, this is about as close as you're going to get without actually getting on a plane and going to El Salvador.
