Friendly staff and chill vibes plus tasty food! Handicapped accessible entrance and bathroom (you do need to ask for the bathroom code). Great selection of vegetarian options.

I've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the soup of the day is always worth trying. Friendly, professional staff and a warm, hometown atmosphere make this a place you'll want to return to.

My dad and I always order takeout from here. We love this spot! We usually get their shrimp burrito and it always hits the spot. Service is fast and the workers there are all friendly and give good recs if you're unsure of what to get. Very casual dining and great if you're looking for a good spot for Mexican food.

What a beautiful place, that taco spot. Love the vibes, people, and of course the comida. ¡Mucho delicious! This one server guy is the legend goat. He gave me the discount even tho it was past the time. Also they're playing my queen Mitski, as I write this review what a hidden gem! a vital beating heart in Land of Eagle rock.

Possibly a limited time burrito, I believe it was the special that day and might've been their sinaloan style burrito

I've been here so many times! Wanna give a shoutout to the homie Tracy!!! Always delivering best service, good recommendations, and chill vibes!!! Last time I came in he recommended the asada nachos and my homie and I loved it so much and it was a perfect amount of food as well. Here are a couple recs from myself: Tacos dorados (I get them without meat but you can add whatever meat you like), the Asada nachos, classic burrito with pastor(make it wet with ranchera sauce), mole enchiladas, huevos rancheros for brekky. I know a lot of folks wouldn't consider this Mexican resturant "authentic" but not every place has to be super authentic to be good. This place is authentic to itself and has built a reputation In our little town of great service and great food!! One time I even asked where they get their tortillas from (because I saw a sign saying they're locally sourced) and sure enough Tracy informed me about the tortilleria down in cypress park that provides them with the best tortillas in town. I would take that over the crappy store bought tortillas mass produced by huge greedy companies ANY DAY. Shoutout to that tortilla shop, I HIGHLY recommend you get your tortillas there from now on, super cheap and you get a lot!! For what you pay!! Tortilleria La California in cypress park!!! In conclusion, I love this place with all my heart and it's so close to my house so I will always take people here to try it out! Thank you Tracy and staff!!!!

average food, service is great! there is a condiment bar w different salsas and toppings so you can add desired amount (lemon, radish, jalapeños, cilantro, etc) which i appreciate.

My first time here. I ordered the Carne Asada plate with corn tortillas. The beef was perfectly cooked, moist and good rounded flavor. Loved how fresh the guacamole and sour cream are. The corn tortillas came piping hot! Also, I love the atmosphere: decor, the music, and staff are pleasant.

Why are the burritos smaller now?

it appears the management is cutting corners to save money, they also stopped giving chips for every plate and the number of chips you get in the chip and guac dish is sad :( , in addition, the tacos don't feel quite as heft either.

They placed us at a table with a fireplace behind us, which was perfect since LA can get chilly at night. A special thank you to our waitress, Salma, who made our night even more memorable. She was very personable and attentive, and she even guided us to the rooftop Desert 5 Spot bar, which truly made the evening feel special. The food was top notch, and the ambiance of the place is absolutely stunning. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

However, the reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the valet parking experience. First, I was charged $25 even though the sign clearly stated that valet parking is $17 for the first 3 hours, and $25 after 3 hours. Our reservation was at 6:30 PM, we arrived on time, and we left before 9 PM, so the charge did not make sense. When I asked the valet attendant, he kept saying, "because you dined there," without giving any clear explanation. If it is actually a flat rate for restaurant guests, then that should be clearly stated upfront to customers. Second, when I got into my car, I noticed that someone had touched the navigation settings because the compass direction and display were different from what I normally use. I do not understand why there was any need to adjust or touch my navigation system at all. I really think the restaurant needs to improve and better manage its valet parking system. Honestly, it felt like I was being charged a random price just because I was told, "you dined there." If there is a flat valet rate for restaurant guests, that information should be clearly communicated upfront instead of leaving customers confused at the end.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Walking in you're shown many awards, culminating in a 2025 Michelin. There must have been a special occasion to be welcomed by music that was incredibly loud. We sat down, and I couldn't hear myself think, or the waiters voices. We asked for another table, but unfortunately that brought a certain type of attitude from the host. I'm sure the music would have been nice if it wasn't as loud, on amplified speakers. After finally being seated, near the bar, the service seemed great. Seating seemed plentiful, but I can now see why a reservation is necessary. To start, the appetizer we chose was a queso fundido which was ok on their smaller tortillas. I must have been spoiled by Chalio's homemade giant tortillas. Chalio's on Atlantic by the way. Guelageutza uses sautéed mushrooms, and they garnished it with this guacamole that didn't really taste that good. Mushrooms on the fundido didn't seem right, but individually they tasted great. The chorizo was ok. My gf likes to try those types of apps. They're not known for that, so I can let it pass. Our order was taken, food was quick, and hot. The attentiveness of the staff was good, but their smiles were absent. Must have had a long day. I got the black Mole chicken, my gf got the enchilada negras(black mole) topped with their tesajo. My dish was good, hot, and full of mole, which was delicious as well. They served it with their tiny homemade corn tortillas. They have several types of mole. My gf got the enchiladas Oaxaceñas and it looked good until I took a bite of the enchiladas. They just poured mole over the tortillas and that's where the flavor went flat. The tortillas were dry and not dipped in the sauce. Traditionally in my family, we fry our tortillas lightly in oil, or lard, and roll them in the sauce. My gf didn't even finish them. I ate all of my meal, and I took her enchiladas home. They were even worse as leftovers. I tried to order their traditional flan, but they had ran out, so I ordered their tres leches. It was ok. I was really disappointed that they ran out of flan though. All in all, this establishment was ok. The atmosphere seemed very manufactured, but I've never had the pleasure of visiting Oaxaca. The mole negro was delicious on the chicken. Seeing that It was recommended on Yelp, I agreed with the statement of picking that dish. The bathrooms were great with a good amount of stalls. I can't say that about a lot of good delicious Mexican food restaurants here in LA. They seem to be more of an afterthought with some. Reminding myself this was Michelin rated restaurant, I didn't get that same feeling with the food though. This now, will give me an excuse to look into why a restaurant is rated as such to understand why that matters so much.
