Love their salmon plate however will never pay extra for the shrimp again after seeing how tiny and few there were. My dad had the siete mares and liked it except for the hard pieces of calamari. Couldn't find an updated menu on yelp so here you go!

    Four tacos $10 deal
    Franklin M.

We were walking around the area and my friend wanted to have tacos. We decided on ordering the 4 beef asada taco deal for ten bucks. The charge $1 for using a credit card. The tacos were okay but nothing that would make them standout in taste or size.

    Campechana
    Stephanie L.

Ordered the following for dinner: Campechana - this was refreshing with pieces of shrimp, octopus, avocados, scallops, and imitation crab. The scallop wasn't fresh and the imitation crab had the texture of shredded carrots so I avoided these. Had I known, I would've asked them to exclude these. Fish tacos - filling with the thick fried piece of fish. Could've used more coleslaw. Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo - I'm a sucker for garlic butter so I'll always order this dish when available. The dish was tasty but the ingredients used left more to be desired. They used frozen steak fries (which needed to be fried longer) and frozen shrimp (which was disappointing substitute for a seafood restaurant). The rice was good though. Overall, the food was flavorful but missed the mark on a few things. There's a small dining area right by the pickup window. The service is polite and quick.

    Mahi Mahi taco
    Alisha C.

I got the Mahi Mahi tacos and the fish was nice and tender but a little bit bland. Also the taco was covered in sauce and I got it to go. So by the time I ate it, it was completely falling apart and the shell was slightly mushy because of that. However, what saved this taco was the red salsa I asked for on the side. It had a delicious savory mild taste that helped the flavor of the taco.

Great hole in the wall seafood spot. Our favorite place to satisfy our Agua Chiles craving. Cocktails are pretty good. Can't beat the value. Fresh seafood on the go.

So far the best shrimp and fish place here in highland park. Such a treat to come here every time

If you like fish taco and shrimp tacos. A must try place in Highland park!!! Come hungry... I did and I left super full!!! lol

    Aguachiles (must try)
    Jimmy T.

Must try spot if you're in highland park . Best oysters on this side of fig (9/10) and for the price you have to order. Aguachiles are spicy and super flavorful (9/10). Shrimp ceviche is also a great deal (9/10) . Service is super nice but it feels like they may be short staffed since it gets slow when they are busy . Dope ambiance but they don't sell beer. :( would be perfect if they had Pacifico to go with seafood

    Fish tacos.
    Vincent R.

Any small place with various weekday night specials wins my heart. Fish tacos on Wednesdays is my jam here. Two fish tacos and a side of fries under $10!!! You're winning win you eat here. Staff is nice and the atmosphere is laid back.

The Peruvian food is still as good now as it was then. I ordered the Aquadito de Pollo which is a chicken soup with a distinct herbal flavor. There is plenty of tender chicken in the soup. It was a good start to my main which was Saltado de Pollo, my favorite. The dish was nicely prepared with a good ratio mix of chicken, onions, tomatoes, and French fries. It was not too salty at all. Rosty seems to make an exemplary Saltado de Pollo. The Chicha Morada was refreshing with the meal. I would return to Rosty if I am in the area again. Dining areas are comfortable with staff being friendly and efficient. The neighborhood looked gentrified with many other businesses in close proximity to explore. Street parking is usually available on the side streets if none is found in front of the restaurant.

The portions were quite generous making the food great for sharing. They also provide complimentary toasted bread and great dipping sauces. What I tried: - Fried yucca - a classic and great way to start the meal - Arroz chaufa de mariscos - shrimp, squid, mussels and fried rice. This was yummy and easily large enough to share. However, the rice was a bit too much on the salty side - Tallarin saltado de carne - sirloin beef strips with spaghetti and sautéed with onions and tomatoes. So delicious, but I wish they were a bit more generous with the amount of beef given the price - Causa de Cameron acevichada - smashed potatoes with shrimp ceviche. Only available on Fridays/weekends. Beautiful presentation and tasted as good as it looked Overall a great spot to try Peruvian food in a comfortable, casual setting. Street parking or nearby public lots.

The pan con tomate truly felt like a masterpiece. It's doused with enough olive oil and tomatoes where the bread is still crunchy and doesn't get soggy at all. The octopus also really stood out to me for its texture. The tartufo dessert was delightful as well, as the flavor from the hazelnut chocolate really shone through. On my second visit, I repurchased the pan con tomate because I loved it so much, and got the rigatoni and New Zealand rack of lamb. This is some of the best lamb I've ever had. It was cooked to be perfectly tender and it tasted amazing. I don't normally go out of my way to get lamb, but for this I would. As for the rigatoni, I thought this was too heavy for my liking. It reminded me a little of Mac and cheese. I think this is better shared rather than served as an individual main course. I would have liked if this had more ham in it. Overall, one of the better tasting restaurants in Pasadena that I would single out as a recommendation to my friends and family!

Now, we watched them bus other tables out in the patio with water and frequent visits. There were only a few tables occupied at the time so the restaurant wasn't busy and definitely has the capacity to serve. I will not be coming back again sadly. The tuna dish we got was also not good. We don't hardly touch it. The good: the oysters were so good and very fresh. The vinegar sauce they came with was so delicious. Because the wait time was too long for that, we decided to try The Dive Oyster Bar -- and man are we sure glad we did. We got a total of five items: a bowl of clam chowder, the soft shell crab appetizer, the roasta, the traditional pan roast with the house speciality protein (with the crab on the side because of my dad's crab allergy), and the jambalaya, which for the last three we ate with medium heat. We shared everything (except for the crab appetizer because, again, crab allergy for dad) and found the food to be delicious, with each entree coming out tasting better than the last. Personally, the roasta was my favorite with the pan roast as a close second. Very flavorful dishes with medium heat being a good level for us (wasn't spicy for our Korean palates). Service was great, our server (unfortunately forgot his name) was attentive and quick with our requests, and although he forgot a side of rice, it was for the best as the food had settled in our stomachs by then and we were content with what we ordered. The restaurant itself is well maintained with ample table space and appropriate lighting, though the music from the evening DJ was a tad bit too loud to hear from across the table. Not a big mood killer for us, though mostly because the good was that good. We're not from this area, so the odds of coming here again are relatively slim -- but should the opportunity present itself, it'll be more than fate this time to take us through these doors once again.
