Craving a shrimp cocktail decided to order from this local food truck. Placed a phone order and it was ready once I arrived. Quality is good, i stick to the basic and prices probably reasonable. I tried searching for pricing on yelp and didn't find any. Hope these pics help. They accept cash/Zelle.

This truck is a real treat. I don't get it often because it's expensive, but it's well priced for the freshness and the portions, like I said, it's a treat, and when I treat myself, it's usually towards the end of a daily constitutional around the park. I've tried the Cali, the Malibu, I just got my daughter some cooked ceviche without chile, she loves it. The viente (that's wind, right?) has mangos, scallops, avocado, onion, and heat! The flavors really burst with citrus and habanero, it's enticing. If you're ever near Earvin Magic Johnson, get you some, there's a wide variety of choices and it's high quality stuff, turn you romantic.

My Favorite Place For Mariscos They Have The Best Plates, Best Cocteles, Best Tostadas, Best Part About Everything, It's Always Fresh. They Are Always Super Friendly And Polite Upon Ordering. They Are Always Fast When I Order My Food, The Wait Time Is Amazing. My Go To Order For Two People Is El Padrino: Raw Shrimp Cooked In Lemon With Spicy Aguachile And Mango. El Malibu And The Campechena Are Amazing Too. They Serve In Large Portions. If You Are Ever In The Area You Have To Give Mariscos El Patron A Try, You Won't Be Dissapointed.

It sucks that food trucks don't always get enough love because this spot is a really good choice. I do have to admit that it was a little pricey but it was also worth it because they are very generous with their seafood portions. I ordered the taco gobernador and the ceviche de camarones. The taco gobernador was about half a cup of fried shrimp on top of two grilled tortillas stuffed with mozzarella cheese. The tortillas were cooked perfectly where they weren't hard from being overcooked but they also weren't flaky from being undercooked. The cheese definitely goes really well with the well seasoned shrimp. At first I thought the ceviche was slightly "undercooked" for my liking since I could see a little gray on the inside of the shrimp but I left it in the fridge for a few hours and my second round was amazing. At first glance I thought there were too many red onions but they were actually pretty delicious with the lime/salt and not overwhelming. The shrimp was cut into manageable pieces. The portion size was good for $15 (they do have a larger plate for $30) and is enough to share with one other people as an appetizer/snack. They give you a pack of 10 tostadas (which was more than sufficient) to make some ceviche tostadas on your own. If you're not into seafood they did have a food truck right next to it, same company, but this one was tacos made from land animal meat (beef, chicken, pork) so plenty of options.

If you're looking for high-quality, authentic street tacos at a reasonable price, this is the spot. Why I keep coming back: * The Tacos: They come 'fully loaded' and are incredibly consistent. I'm picky about my onions, and they are always happy to accommodate requests, which I truly appreciate. * Efficiency: The staff is consistently friendly, and even when it's busy, the food comes out fast. * The Vibe: It's a truck with a casual outdoor seating area, making it easy to grab a quick, fresh bite. * The Bonus: Don't skip the small shop on the same lot they have the best treats. I highly recommend grabbing an elote or a mangonada to round out your meal. If you haven't tried them yet, add this to your rotation. It's exactly the kind of local gem that keeps the neighborhood food scene great!

In the last couple of years, the competition for street tacos has gotten fierce. Some street taco stands even make their tortillas on the spot while preparing your meal. Unfortunately, this place hasn't evolved to meet the challenges and match the competition. The food is not bad, don't get me wrong, but it's not worth going out of your way for it. There is plenty of street parking and lots of tables in an open space area. Bring sweaters and jackets if the weather calls for rain or it's cold. The seating area is under the roof but there are no walls to protect you from the wind.

What we ordered: I ordered the Flyin' Slider Trio with Chili Zing sauce. These were fantastic! The sauce was spicy but not overpowering. The cole slaw was tasty. The chicken was hanging off the sides of the bun. They give a very generous portion. I also got the corn poppers with lemon pepper seasoning. When the menu says corn "popperS," I thought I'd get more than one. The fact that they charged $4.00 for a half ear of corn is ridiculous. I was even madder because it was delicious! It was breaded and deep fried. The breading was great and ensured that the corn wasn't oily. If the serving was two, I would feel like I kind of got my money's worth, but not one. I'd never get that again. My husband got the 10-piece wings with half garlic parm and half lemon pepper. He said the wings were big and fried to perfection. He loved them. He also got fries. They were $4.00 for a pediatric serving size. Overall, the meal was very good. The main items were worth the price, but they really charge too much for the sides considering their size. I'd go back to support them, but please hold the sides...

My review is based on the food truck. It was my son's birthday. He was allowed to chose anything he wanted for dinner. Any price point... anything. Well i had seen this on Instagram and shared it with him two weeks prior. At first he wanted to go to Nobu or there were a few other high end options, but that is not his style honestly. Luckily, he remembered the post that I shared. He wanted to go here. Well, buckle up kids, we are going on a field trip! We left work/schools early and took a drive to Compton. When our navigation said we had arrived it suggested we park in the lot across from the library. Ok. There directly in front of the library was the food truck. There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home. The drive home was long, now that rush hour traffic had started. But none of us complained, because the meal was worth it.
