I was there about a month ago and can say that will be my last time there!! First, i always found it so weird that they would always put me in the "private area" off to the side where they do the waxes those chairs there when there has always been plenty of other open chairs In the main open area for pedicures. The last time I went with my mom and the man doing her toes made some sorts rude comments that she lets her toe nails grow very long and she replied back no I don't I come here every 2 weeks to get my toes done and then responds ohhh you must take good vitamins and she responded again saying no I don't. I was able to make an appointment for next day service, which was great because I have my in laws in town to babysit, however I got home and was very disappointed with my results. I made an appointment to get my hair permed. The stylist strongly urged me to do a cut and color instead. I don't know if she just didn't want to do a perm or if the cut and color cost more but I felt pretty disappointed from the get-go. I took her suggestion because I desperately needed a make over and I only had babysitters for this time. She got hair dye all over my face! The lighting in the salon is terrible and you will leave not being able to see your results very well. I have taken two showers, used rubbing alcohol and witch hazel to try and get the dye off my face. I look like helmet head. I took her color suggestion and it is way too dark for my face. My cut and color cost 110, I tipped $20 and the stylist seemed unappreciative. Now I'm stuck with a terrible color, nothing I wanted when I made the appointment and $130 short. I will not be back and I'll be spreading the word. UPDATE**** The stylist who did my hair called me and offed to fix my hair at no cost. I have been going to El Bella for a decade but I am absolutely DONE! I had an appt. scheduled for a pedi recently, rushed over from work and they had me sitting for 30 minutes so I finally walked out. There was almost no one there, just two other people getting pedi's. I've seen it way busier. I was waiting for about 10-15 minutes in the lobby. I was finally called back to a (very dirty) chair. I had requested "Hannah" when I scheduled my appt. This was my first time seeing Hannah as someone else in my family had seen her before. We have been seeing Nancy for years, but she has supposedly been "on vacation" for the last 2 months and I'm told every time I request her that "no one knows when she returns from vacation." I was finally called back to a chair and was sitting there for another 15 minutes. The woman next to me doing another person's pedi repeatedly called Hannah from the back. Hannah came out twice, looked at me, then returned to the back, saying something in a nasty way to the other woman using another language. At that point, I could tell Hannah was not into doing her job and I was not going to sit there any longer and wait for her to come out a 3rd time in a bad mood. I dried my feet, went up front and told them what happened. I was halfway out the door when Hannah came running from the back begging me to get back into the chair. I would not. When the manager or owner was confronted with this situation, she would only say, "sorry" with nothing else to get us to return to her salon. There are way too many other salons around that would want my business. Salons that are beautiful, have been remodeled and upgraded. The first thing that went wrong even before this was how absolutely DIRTY the pedi chair was. I had to flick something off the arm rest and when I pulled the little attached table up it was so filthy I didn't put my phone on it. My last two times going here, the polish completely chipped in a week, and it used to always last for 3 weeks, until I removed it. This salon has been going downhill for years since the change in ownership several years ago and I will NEVER be returning because they obviously do not care about their customers or the cleanliness of their establishment. I live close to this place and have been quite a few times. The few times I was able to get Michelle to do my nails have been awesome. This review related to everything but Michelle. All other pedicures have been mediocre or bad. There is one gal who has done my nails twice that has in both cases made me cuticles bleed and be painful. A few months ago I took my youngest daughter to get her haircut there and the lady did a great job, cut was super cute. I had asked during that visit for a pedicure while I wait. I was told they were too busy so I sat in the waiting area. After about 20 minutes walk ins came in and they were taken right back for a pedicure? Not sure what happened there but that was the last time I would get nail services here. Today my two daughters and myself went to get haircuts. Shampoo, cut, and style for $35 each. My youngest did receive all but they lady never once asked her what kind of hair cut she wanted just trimmed it up. My oldest was ridiculed for the tangled in her hair, her hair is very long. She left with wet unstyled hair. I showed my gal a picture of the cut I was looking for, in turn she cut my hair inches shorter then what I would have expected, she did no texturing or anything to the bottom of my hair, put some mousse in my wet hair and said the hairspray and products are there if you liked to use them and walked off!?! I went to the counter and asked about the style, I was told all haircuts come with a style. I said does my hair look styled to you? She did have a man come over and ask if I would like my hairstyles but at this point I just wanted to leave, I was mad. I got home and blow dried my hair to find a large section in front that was about 3 inches longer then the rest of my cut and another 2 lumps in the back. My hair looked like a bell. After a little cry I went to. The Edge Salon. I walked in clearly upset and asked them if I looked like I just left a salon and got my hair done, to which she just apologized for them. Everyone in that salon was shocked that so much of my hair was at so many different lengths. So a second shampoo, cut and a real style later my hair looks like it should have the first go round. I have never experienced a bad cut until now. I will never step a foot in here again and so mad that it cost me $120 there today to figure this out. I've never been to a spa before and I'm so glad that El Bella popped my day spa cherry! My Valentine's day gift from my wife was the Retreat Spa Package. It included a 1 hour massage, a facial, a pedicure and manicure. Kimberly was my masseuse and she was FABULOUS! She was very nice and helpful, knowing that I hadn't ever had a full body massage before. Its a little awkward being naked in front of a perfect stranger... knowing that said stranger is going to be touching ALMOST every square inch of your body! But actually I was at ease within seconds... her hands worked their magic and I was in pure bliss for a whole hour! OMG... best part of the day hands down! On to my facial... Irene is wonderful! I've only had my brows waxed once before and it was horrible... so when she asked if I wanted them waxed and reshaped I was a little hesitant. But I said, what the heck... they'll grow back right? --For me that was a huge deal... I'm VERY particular about my eyebrows!-- Anyhow, she ended up doing a magnificent job! My brows look freaking awesome and am now a convert! Irene, you'll be seeing a LOT more of me! She also assessed by skin condition and recommended I up the SPF! She massaged my face and shoulders and upper arms... even my ears, which was kinda odd for me, I don't really like my ears touched... except... well, never mind! She was great. Pedicure and manicure were OK. I don't remember her name, but she was a bit rough with the sugar scrub stuff. Next time no sugar! Only one minor complaint... I had to wait for like ever for my pedicure... I think they should have had someone ready for me as I was getting a package and there seemed to be a lot of walk-ins getting service and I had a standing appointment. But overall this was the BEST Valentine's day gift ever! I will be going back as often as possible for Kimberly's hands and Irene's brow expertise! Highly recommend! read more

Wow, I'm surprised to see the negative reviews. I came here through a recommendation from a friend when my hair stylist wasn't available. I made an appointment with Stacy. The reservation process was easy and they worked to accommodate my schedule. It's a bit nerve-wracking when you need to update your color with someone who has never set eyes on your hair before! Stacy took her time to look at my hair discuss options and then took me back to the hair washing chair. Let me take a minute here and discuss these chairs. You know how painful it can be to put your head in a hair washing sink?? Your head or neck can be bruised for days after. Not here. I could sleep in these chairs. They have some sort of support in the sink that holds your head perfectly so no discomfort at all. Stacy did a great job updating my color and highlights then gave a me a great cut. I've been back three time since and happy each time. I've started bringing my boys in for their haircuts too. Huge bonus that the salon is 5 minutes from my house! I only gave 4/5 stars since I haven't tried any of the other services and probably won't since I love my nail salon. But if I were to rate Stacy, the hair services, the reception staff and the cost it would be 5 stars! read more

Yesterday I came here with my teenage daughter for a dual pedicure. We opted for the VIP Spa Pedicure at $42 each. The pedicures were fine, but what I'm upset about was that my technician coated my big toenails in about 3 thick coats of nail polish and it was so thick that (even after sitting under the UV light at the salon for 5 minutes) 3 hours later when I put on my shoes to go out for the night, my polish squished off and was completely destroyed! You can only imagine how devastated I was after paying $100 for both of us, after gratuity, to have a pedicure ruined like that 3 hours later...definitely unhappy. read more

Salon De Bella (Gilbert)--My nails we're done last Monday. By Wednesday they were coming off. When I went in and showed them my chipping nails oh, they added more nail glue. Mya nails began to come off the very next day oh, I've then purchase my own nail glue to keep adding everyday (be same brand of nail glue that they use in the shop), however my nails still managed to fall off by Tuesday. I then went to the shop and had them removed. After advising the manager that my nails fell off and I was not happy with that, she asked me if this was my first time getting my nails done with acrylics which I responded no and then she said I owed $10. I asked why I owe them money for a bad experience, and she said it's just what we charge. I then said I am not comfortable paying as I did not receive the service I paid for. she said the best she could do is taking off 10%. Yay, I saved a dollar. I would not suggest going to the shop for acrylic nails anytime soon. Beyond the bad job they did with my nails, this is the second review I have written as the first was removed. read more

5 stars for saving my day! I had a wedding to attend last night and needed to be on the road by 4:30. I had an appointment at another salon for 2:15 for just an up-do with the plan that I would be home by 3:30 and on to getting ready. At 2:10, the appointment was canceled. I was panicked!! I can not do my own hair, at all. I can barely brush it, seriously. So I had to find someone that could help me. I drove past El Bella and spun a u-turn and stopped in. I was in dirty, bum-around clothes, I had no appointment and I needed an up-do fast. They told me they could do it and at 2:30 I sat down and was out in 45 minutes, so still on schedule! David did a wonderful job on my hair. I told him what I wanted, all up with some curl and he suggested we actually curl half right up on top and then leave half down with curl. He was right! It looked great, it held all night long even through dancing and the price was perfect ($35 for a walk-in emergency up-do?!). I got tons of compliments from people and I felt lovely. The building is nice and clean, very open and bright and is a good-sized place. I will definitely come back for other services and more hair services! read more

I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to my house and I like to support local businesses, however, I was pretty disappointed with 2 out of 3 of my services here. My husband bought me a spa package for a massage, facial and nails. Like reviewer Kelly G., I also had Q for a facial and a lady with a British accent for the massage. The massage was just ok, but my major compliant was that the masseuse talked the whole time. I think that she should have assumed I wasn't interested in talking through my entire massage as I gave her one word answers to her question after question. For example, "do you have siblings?" If I wanted to talk to someone about my siblings, it wouldn't be during what was supposed to be a relaxing massage I'm paying for! Also, the problem areas I told her about were not fixed in the least. I left annoyed and with the same back soreness. The worst by far was the facial. Q rushed through the whole thing and was not at all gentle. At times I felt like she was smacking my neck. It was also gross and awkward how many times she poured out a pail of water and had to walk around me to refill it. If the salon is going to have a facial station, they should reconfigure so that the sink is near the esthetician. When I asked her what products she was using or what she was doing to my face next, there was a language barrier and I didn't get an answer. So lame. My 1 hour facial ended up being 45 minutes and I was glad to get out there, I really felt like I was just a chore she was trying to hurry and finish. The nail services were totally fine and I may go back for that service only. In general, I think these issues could at least be improved if the owner/manager worked with the staff to make the salon more professional. read more

I had a gift certificate to use so I made an appointment for a facial, waxing, mani/pedi and a haircut/style. A technician named Q gave me the facial. I have never had one before, so I don't know how this one ranked, except that I got no warning the painful extractions were about to happen. Q then waxed my lip and brows. Brows were shaped okay. I then went to the other side of the day spa and was a little surprised that it was nothing more than a typical Asian nail salon. Q also did my mani/pedi. I asked for callus removal which added $5 to the $70 price. Q barely trimmed my nails (which I had asked for) nor did she do a very good job at the callus removal. The chair I had to sit in for the mani was pretty but very uncomfortable. I couldn't lean back, nor could anyone else getting a mani. I chose a pretty pink polish but was super disappointed that when my nails were dry there was no shiny top coat. I guess I needed to pay extra for that. The only thing that saved this review from getting 1 star was my haircut. The service was listed as $35+ and since I have long hair I was prepared to pay more. Diane took the time to cut layers and still only charged me $35. It was a great cut at a better price. I will continue to see Diane when I need a cut. read more

In addition, while he was brushing my hair it hurt really bad and he was extremely rough. Not impressed. My pedicure chipped within a few days and then really looked bad after 2 weeks. My gel manicure didn't last either. Within 2 weeks it looked awful. Last time I'll go to El Bella day spa. Went there for a pedicure a while ago. Ended up with an infection. Had to see a doctor and take antibiotics. Today I had a hair cut appointment. I arrived 12 minutes before my scheduled time. I was told Stacey would be right out. No problem. 15 minutes past my appointment time I was told again Stacey was finishing up on someone else. Still not a problem. Eventually I moved to a seat where I could see into the salon. Stacey was just drying a customers hair, really long hair so this was going to take awhile. I'm still waiting... It's now 45 minutes after my arrival. When Stacey began to curl the gals long hair I went to the front desk and told them I wasn't waiting any longer. The receptionist didnt even look up from her phone as she said a snappy little 'sorry'.. Poor poor customer service. Wish there was a minus star. read more
