This is one of my favorite restaurants in Clarksville Tennessee. I haven't lived here in four years, I went back just for nostalgia and it is as amazing as usual. The dinner at El Bracero was very flavorful that hit the spot. I ordered the Chicken Fiesta, started with the Chunky Guacamole appetizer, and sipped on a Coke Zero throughout the meal. The appetizer came out fresh. The big chunks of avocado gave it a great texture, and it was well-balanced with lime, cilantro, and just a hint of jalapeño. It paired perfectly with the warm tortilla chips, which were crisp without being greasy. The Chicken Fiesta is always my go to. The chicken is well-seasoned, the mix of grilled veggies added a smoky depth, and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. We were in town for a couple of weeks for work. I ate there three times I'm from S. Tx. The sweet tea was good. The food was amazing, I had shredded chicken taco salad, it was very fresh. Got Doordash from here on a weekday evening, got the Jalisco special which was grilled steak, chicken and shrimp cooked with onions, green bell pepper and red bell peppers, covered with the special cheese sauce, and I got the full order. I asked for salad instead of rice and was given it, and salsa and chips were given too. The chicken and steak were both a bit dry and flavorless, although the shrimp was juicy. We enjoyed our dinner-- Carne Asada steak for my Sweetie...and the Wet Burrito w/beef tips for me. Our server Linsey was quite helpful in sorting out options from among the many dishes on the restaurant's massive menu. Lots of Tex-Mex standards, and plenty of house specialties too. All are reasonably priced, and the portions very generous. The Carne Asada offered enticing aromas and an attractive presentation, featuring roasted garlic bulb and jalapeño. Little wonder it's a favorite dish among the regulars. I was impressed with the tender, flavorful chunks of beef in my burrito as well. Couldn't put down my fork...even tho it would have been enough for two meals! A tasty margarita topped things off. This is one of my favorite lunch stops after visiting Nashville TN. We had an errand to run in Nashville and upon returning home I always like to stop in Clarkesville TN to have lunch and to do a little shopping before returning to Paducah KY. My friend ordered a lunch special quesadilla fajitas and I ordered the Taquito Dorados. It was a beautiful day so we ask to sit outside. The chips and salsa came out as soon as we sat down. It did not take long to get our lunch and as usual it was delicious! This restaurant has good food and the staff is really attentive to your needs. First time that I have ever been here and I am really impressed. The salsa I can tell is homemade, and if you love cilantro, you will love the salsa. The empanadas and the flautas were both really good! There was a kind of sweetness that I really liked from the pork empanadas. The chicken flautas were light, crispy, and rather juicy. My husband and I have been going to El Bracero on Madison Street every Friday night for well over a year. (We are not only creatures of habit, but when something works, why change it?) I have tried nearly everything on the menu, and have never been disappointed. (The quesabirrias, in particular, are phenomenal!) The food is always good, last time i went we had a tall skinny waitress I didn't catch her name but she was not Hispanic. She didn't write down ANY of our order and then brought out everything wrong. Never ever have I heard of an el bracero. Is it another option for myself to eat on a weekend? Yes, it absolutely is. While el bracero seems like another Mexican restaurant to add competition to a Taco Bell, it honestly surpasses the expectation of quality, price, presentation and time. As someone who enjoys Mexican food, the simplicity of steak on a tortilla and a cold beer is filling for an experience at another Mexican restaurant. From my personal experience here, that's all I needed and it left me very satisfied. Fast service, very clean and friendly, the atmosphere was very relaxing, the tasty options on the menu looked amazing and the price was something I'd pay for if I was seeing someone to break up with them that night. First visit. Could be my last. I did like the salsa but the chips are thick and possibly old. Also, the waiter missed both of our orders. And even tho we repeated our order several times in order to be understood, evidently they did their own thing! We ordered ala carte but got the whole plates brought to us and charged accordingly. We have been here several times and always have a greatt experience. The food is amazing, the prices are great and the service incredible. In fact, the food mat come out a little too fast, so stagger your ordering. I usually get the quesidilla vegetarian, it's packed with several different veggies. Weve also got the Carne asada and the al pastor. Kids menu is great. Drinks are great. Bathrooms are clean, which is always a plus for us. And they have a cute area where they make the tortillas. El bracero is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. Check out my other reviews to see which one is my favorite in town! I always get the same thing when I come here or the one on exit 1. It's the Al Pastor and/or the Molcajete. I loveeeee me some grilled veggies and a ton of protein. Also their skinny margaritas are super bomb. The service never disappoints and their restaurant is always clean. I actually celebrated my birthday here this year because they have a party area. I honestly like this El bracero over the one on exit 1 maybe because it's brand new but the environment is just more lively. I love it and you should definitely try it! Had a horrible experience at Dos Margaritas, so I was wary. But this restaurant did not disappoint. We had great service and their nachos supreme with shredded chicken, beef, cheese, refried beans, lettuce, tomato and sour cream were delicious! I haven't ordered nachos in years, so this was a real treat for my sister and me. My only complaints here are that the music is too loud and my margarita wasn't impressive. My taco salad was good, nice tortilla with the usual lettuce, chicken, guac, tomatoes. The restaurant was nice, clean, decorated nice / trendy and had loud Salsa / Meringue music playing.
