Everyone working there thinks they are all managers and they will tell you someone will be right with you, I see only a few humble people not playing make believe managers actually putting in work . Unfortunately you can tell these employees are miserable because upper management is allowing this work culture and letting it thrive . This was my first time at a Drakes. They have a pretty big parking lot so we didn't have an issue getting a parking spot at all. We came around 5pm, and there were a lot of people, but it wasn't too packed. Customer service wise, we saw our server maybe once. Everything was super slow here from getting our drinks to getting our food. Our server came and got our order, put it in, then never even brought the beer or the food back to us. Our beer had been sitting at the bar since the bartender put it in the glass for her, and it was just sitting up there. By the time we got it, the beer wasn't even cold anymore, and sweating. Someone else watched our beer sitting up there and brought it to us. The food here took 30 mins. Someone else brought us the wings, first. The wings were pretty good here. I liked them. It could've been warmer, though. Lol our server brought me my burger finally, but just dropped it off at the table, and took off. I never got the chance to ask for Mayo cause she took off so fast. The set up here looked pretty cool. I liked how they had patio seating. We got sat in the bar area since I requested indoor seating, but I thought the bar area had a nice look. Every time I've gone here the servers have been great and really helpful. The morning glory burger is my favorite thing on their menu but you honestly can't go wrong with any of their burgers. I wanted to try this place out for a while now and decided to go during the week so it was not too busy. The good: the atmosphere was pretty relaxing but then again it was around 9:00pm when we dined. I decided on a patty melt with a salad and an eel roll while my best friend choice chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. Our server Saya was training but definitely sweet and easy to converse with in regards to suggestions and small talk. My melt wasnt bad but it definitely was not anything trophy winning. It looked like something thst was beaten with a mallet to spread out larger. The bad: the chicken was overcooked and crispy to the point of needing to be taken apart because of the dryness. The roll wasnt bad but again nothing award winning. The fries were late and it was a tiny amount compared to other places. The ugly: the salad was what really got to me considering that it wasnt washed. The heel of the lettuce was apparent in many pieces and I had some dirt in my mouth after eating a few pieces. They also dont carry 1000 or caesar dressings which are my two favorite kinds. TL;DR - Go here if u need a break from your favorite place or want to try something different but know there are other places that might satisfy your appetite more accordingly. read more

My boyfriend and I came here around 4:30 on a Friday. At first it wasn't too busy but it did begin to pick up. I am gluten intolerant and our waitress Julie was amazing with helping my experience in Drakes be phenomenal. We ordered the sushi which the menu has "gf" next to the gluten free options. I asked if they had gluten free soy sauce and without hesitation Julie went to the kitchen and checked. She even brought out the bottle of soy sauce which says "gluten free". We also ordered the California Cobb salad which was also amazing. I did not end up finished it so we got a Togo box. As we were waking and basically to our car, Julie, our waitress ran after us with our box and gave it to us. We truly have not had a better waitress and she made our experience at Drakes amazing. The crunchy munchy roll is awesome ! Got it with light rice and added cream cheese. The Buffalo chicken app is fire ! The mini Cuban sandwiches are killer too! The surprisingly awesome French fries are a must order. The Seaweed salad here is good too. The cocktails are good and the pours are nice. My oh my! I'm gonna be real for a minute on this review. The food was good and came out hot. Our waitress was new but did a great job. That's where the fun ends, folks. Let my break down something so immature it's criminal... wait, it really is criminal. I ordered an Old Fashioned, but what I got was an ounce of whiskey 2 small ice cubes and an orange peel. But I'm a sport about it. I tell my waitress that it's not an old fashioned and she looked at me weird and ended up having one of the managers come talk to me. I tell the manager that all I said was that it was not an old fashion and just wanted to be charged appropriately. This is a manager of some sort...she goes to the bar and starts talking to the bartender and I get dirty looks from this bartender...I guess I hurt her feelings cause she doesn't have the knowledge to make my drink. Fast forward to the bill. I look at my bill to find a charge of a dollar for..."Rocks"! So, being inquisitive, I ask if they have a habit of charging for ice. This next part floored me. This manager tells me that it is their policy for a whiskey on the rocks to be a 2 oz pour with ice and charge for the ice. Yes, let that sit for a minute. I get a 1 oz pour with ice and get charged for the whole thing. Now, it's not the cost but how it was handled. I have gotten drinks there before and never charged for ice. I said, "You charged me for ice because your bartender was upset that I said her old fashioned was not an old fashioned." The moral of this story, don't trust Drakes to be honest about the way they charge. And if you can't make a drink, don't fake it and get angry when told you can't make a drink. read more

We really enjoyed our food but our service was slow, our server seemed to disappear for a while. Also, we went to watch a football game and they didn't have it on the TV. We asked and they said they didn't get ESPN. We were pretty disappointed, unsure if that has changed now but seemed very odd for what we thought was a sports bar. read more

First time being at a Drakes establishment and not sure how long it's been in Clarksville, but I believe it's fairly new. Cool little vibe spot for brews, sushi, and burgers. Burgers and sushi seem to be what they are known for (weird combo) but hey if it works lol. The atmosphere was great. We sat outside on the patio which reminded me of being on a football field, from the carpentry they had that reminded me of turf. Pretty neat! Our server was very attentive and willing to answer all questions regarding the menu. She suggested the burgers because she wasn't a sushi fan whatsoever. Which, burgers are my favorite so I was 100% sold on her recommendation. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger (highly recommend) meat was juicy and prepared to perfection. Not many options for sides. I ordered tater tots for my side, which came out cold as if they had been sitting waiting for the burger to finish being prepared. Which is why I'm giving this location 4 stars because this isn't something that should happen after sitting and having to wait for an extensive amount of time for your food. Came here on Valentines Day and was surprised that it wasn't busier but we were seated right away. I'm a big sushi person so I was not too interested in the burgers but they did look good. I settled on the poke bowl and a spicy salmon roll. We also ordered seaweed salad. I am a more traditional sushi lover, going for more culturally authentic sushi. The sushi served here is very much Americanized, HOWEVER, it was a definitely done right here. Nothing was smothered in "yum yum sauce" and the fish had no weird smell. I very much enjoyed it. The only thing I did not enjoy was the table they sat us at, it was a small round table with arm chairs. You sink into the arm chairs so the table came up to my chest and I had to really sit up while I ate so I wasn't eating uncomfortably. This is a very nice family spot with plenty of TVs for watching sports. The idea of having sushi with options for hamburgers was a brilliant idea. My wife and daughter are really into sushi and I love hamburgers so we had to try it out. What I have to mention here is it seems like a direct alternative to Buffalo Wild Wings but it is successful in its own special way. The burgers are better, fries are better, and of course the sushi. Now if you are into the beer and mixed drinks it's all here too. There are fewer TVs but for me this just seemed right for a family appeasing dad to watch a game while enjoying Sunday after church lunch. So what are the negatives? It was a long wait and our server dropped an order which they replaced but they never cleaned the floor so when leaving it was watch your step. The atmosphere was good. I had a party of 6. We sat ourselves and had a great waitress in training. My experience was the food ordered was ample and fresh. The service was great. However... I ordered the turkey, swiss avocado sandwich without any mayo product. The waitress put that on the ticket, so that's what you expect. The food came and the sandwich was very good. I ate the first half. I got to the second half and noticed a sauce that looked like mayo. I asked the waitress what the sauce was. She told me the sauce was roumalade. This is mayo based. She reported it to her manager immediately and she offered a replacement or no cost. I took the no cost option. Later on, I had a small allergic reaction and today my digestive track is messed up. I don't blame the waitress, but as with most restraunts, the cooks follow only the recipe and not look at the order. The chefs failed me and Drakes. I will not return due to lack of trust. But other than that, the tatter tots were great as was my pineapple sunshine drink. That went down fast. My party reported their meals were good. Update, Kayla from Drakes reached out to me to offer her apologies and promise to fix the disconnect. Since we are not from Clarksville, she offered to send a voucher to my son who does live here. I maybe would try this place again just because of their willingness to reach out and fix it. Therefore, I changed my stars from two to three. read more

Hits: Sriracha wings were awesome: crisp, nicely seasoned, dry rub was tasty, and came out piping hot. The fries: tater tots, regular fries, and sweet potato waffle fries were all good, but a bit cold. I have a feeling out entire order sat out for a few minutes before getting to us. Slight misses: The sushi seemed oddly lukewarm. Nobody got sick, so that's a plus. I would say it's worth a try, just keep your expectations in check. There are better sushi places in town. Not overly impressed with this spot. Heard the hype about this place so we thought we'd finally give it a shot...after all of the hoopla died down. Ordered the fried pickles to start off with the ambrosia ranch dipping sauce. They were pretty good, but nothing too special. My wife ordered the Mini Juicy Lucy's with tots. The crazy thing about these mini burgers is that the cheese was on the OUTSIDE of the two patties. I was really under the impression, and I could be wrong, that a Juicy Lucy burger was two patties made to look like one with cheese stuffed inside... that's not what this was. My wife said the tots were good. I ordered the Morning Glory burger. It came to the table and looked delicious, but it wasn't. The burger itself was dry and the egg was overcooked. The crinkle fries were not that great, hardly seasoned at all. I doubt we'll be back, but with Clarksville's limited choices...never say never. The Good: The Sriracha wings were crisp and tasty from the Sriracha dry rub was just enough to let you enjoy the full flavor with the ranch. The ranch seemed like it was house made. The sushi was good. Had a sweet flavor from the drizzle. It was good meat inside. Not the best sushi around. The patty melt was cheesy. Good butter bun made this a dippable burger with my ketchup. The Bad: My fries were luke warm. For what you pay for a meal here I expect them to be hot and fresh.( I wish this wasn't a trend at restaurants) A little salt and pepper was drizzled on top. We were going to throw a going away party for my husband here. A friend called 2x to make sure they would be able to accompany 13 people. Each time they said if we called 30 min ahead, they would save us a spot. And that their waits don't exceed over 45 min. We show up and they said there's a 1 hr and 45 min wait. What the heck???? What's the point of telling us all that for it to not be true? If we were told and they would of been up front and honest someone could of came to get places in line way before. I acknowledge up front that I came here at 6pm on a Thursday and they were busy. It was supposed to be an hour+ wait and we said we'd take first available, even at the bar. After about 30 minutes a two person high top table near the bar opened up! Ordered a double "Makers Mark and fried pickles" to start. Then ordered a sandwich for dinner. After a fairly long wait, the bar tender came to our table to ask what we ordered because they don't have "Bakers Mark". We finally re-ordered our drinks. After a while we received our sandwiches but never did get the pickles. Half way through my ok sandwich I ordered another drink. Finished my sandwich and canceled my other drink after 15+ minutes waiting. Got the check and signed but didn't realized I didn't get my credit card back until the next day. MY FAULT, but still, surprised they didn't return my credit card with the check. I have read and heard soooo many great things about this place. My son enjoyed their open grass area to run around while waiting on our food. The service and staff were VERY friendly. The atmosphere was new and clean. The sushi was great. I gave this place 3 stars because we've gone 3 different times and have had very different experiences. First time ... went Monday night had no problem being seated with no wait. Service was very good and the food came out quickly. Sushi was better than we thought it was going be. Was very pleased with our experience. Second time... showed up an hour before the lunch rush. Was given a table immediately but asked for a booth cause we have a small child. Was told 10-15 mins, after 30 mins went to check on the wait was told 5 mins. The entire time multiple families showed and were seated. The biggest thing is as we waited for a total of 70 mins we were never seated and felt as if we were forgotten. We left after that and ate yellowtail. Third time.. waited 15 mins for a table. Ordered an app, and wasn't impressed with the beer cheese and pretzels. We ordered the burger, fish and kids tenders. All were delicious but the waitress wasn't great. At one point another waitress walked by and refilled our drinks. She continued to do the minimum and never asked about our experience. Summary... 3 different levels of experience resulted in and average rating from me. It was a good restaurant but I never know if I'm going to be pleased. read more
