An ok one time thing. They charge 4% for credit cards. Also their website is wrong. It said their specialty dinners come with rice and beans and I got french fries. Also the pricing on the website is wrong, they charged me $13.99 for Camaron Diablo and their website said it . What is $10.79

    Mexican candies. Yum!

I usually order the chorizo tacos from here because they're yummy. Their horchata is also good. The lady who works here (I think she's the owner), is always really nice. I love that this restaurant is right by the forest, so that we can walk off those tacos afterwards ;)

Piece of metal Brillo that my husband choked on while eating a burrito from here. Then they wouldn't refund our money. Don't go here!

This place almost killed my husband and won't stand behind their food and reputation! We have been visiting El Burrito RICO since they have been open. Probably three times a month. Food is good and with COVID, we were trying to support a local business In our city. On October 13, we ordered our usual items. Came home to eat them and as I am eating, I see my husband choking across the table. He's able to gag it out of his mouth and it's a long piece, about 3 inches, of metal Brillo. It's from the Brillo that they clean their grills from. He recovers from choking and says he can't eat anymore. I believe he had only a few bites out of it. We call Rico and the lady apologizes. We ask if she wants it back and she says, no, just bring the receipt and they'll refund our money for the burrito. Well I went in With the piece of metal in a ziplock and receipt and was told they would not refund my money because it had been too long since it happened. Maybe a week because he had to leave for work and I had to take it. I asked to talk to the manager/owner and this 25ish woman says that she's the owner. They will not stand behind their product or responsibility to the consumer. Don't trust their food! If you could have seen my husband choking, you'd be as upset as I. We will never go there again and will tell everyone about our experience with this restaurant! Can you believe that they wouldn't believe us or take responsibility! NO STARS from us!

This is the saddest burrito I've ever seen. It's all lettuce.

This play is consistent. Consistently bad. The steak (that's what they call it) that is put in their burritos and quesadillas is terrible. It has no flavor, and is very similar to ground beef. The guacamole is bitter, the beans seem to be out of a can that's been sitting on the shelf for a few years. I've given this place many chances and because they deliver, we've given some grace for the lack of quality and flavor of the food. But tonight was the last straw.... Part of our order included a "giant steak burrito". What I received was a giant salad wrapped in a tortilla. If I scraped the beans and "steak" out of this thing, there wouldn't be enough to fill a regular taco shell. I'm so amazed that I had to take a picture of it. That's the last time we spend money at this joint. We'll take the drive to another place that's 100 times better.

Ordered chips and salsa. Got a very small bag with only 4 chips in it. Ordered a steak taco dinner. The corn tortillas was stale, tacos cold, and steak was chewy and had a funny taste. Been here before and it was a lot better. Pretty disappointing.

From workers to celebrating families. They just got a new menu and prices of course have gone up but that's understandable. What I'm taking issue with is that the owners need to embrace that this place is a "mom" restaurant that's got a homey feel. They added another screen advertising drinks, etc that are too big and obtrusive for behind the counter. Bring the tone down. Instead of spending money on electric signs, spend your decorating dollars on making the place cozy so pictures in Yelp look more inviting. We had birria burrito and carne asada with a large guacamole and horchata. Everything was great as always. Normally we get their margaritas which are also very good.

Long story short, our order was repeated back correctly, yet we still ended up with a missing salsa and an incorrectly made burrito. Mistakes happen. Every restaurant gets an order wrong from time to time. The problem wasn't the mistake. It was how such a small issue was handled. Their reaction honestly took me aback. We weren't asking for a free meal or trying to take advantage of the situation. We simply called to ask for a credit for the missing salsa, which was about $2. That should have been the end of the conversation. While I was on the phone, we opened the rest of the order and realized the burrito had also been made incorrectly. Instead of listening, the employee repeatedly insisted it had been made correctly without even seeing it. Then another employee got on the phone and, in a very aggressive tone, told us that if we wanted a refund, we had one hour to bring the food back or we wouldn't receive anything. We didn't want a full refund. We simply wanted the missing salsa and for the burrito to be made correctly. A sincere apology, a $2 credit, and an offer to remake the burrito would have completely changed the experience. Instead, a minor issue was escalated into an unnecessary confrontation. I even spoke to the staff in Spanish, so this wasn't a language barrier or a misunderstanding. The issue was the attitude and the complete lack of professionalism in handling a simple customer service situation. Wanting to understand whether this was just one employee or reflected the culture of the business, I called another location and asked if I could speak with a manager or owner. I was told they don't give out names because they receive death threats. Whether that's true or not, that's an incredibly strange thing to tell a customer. It naturally makes you wonder how previous customer complaints have been handled if that's the response employees are instructed to give. As a fellow Latin American, I genuinely want to support Latino-owned businesses. That's why this experience was so disappointing. Success isn't just about serving great food or opening multiple locations. It's also about treating customers with respect, accepting feedback, and knowing how to resolve small problems without becoming defensive. More than anything, I was embarrassed for them. This entire situation could have been resolved in two minutes. Instead, they chose confrontation over customer service. The food is good, but it isn't good enough to make me overlook how we were treated. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and unfortunately, that's where this restaurant fell short.
