Jumbo shrimp done right. Coating is crunchy but not hard. Shrimp is firm and had a "just caught" flavor and texture. Truly enjoyed these.

In a small mall so parking no issue. Outside appearance is inviting, however complicated amount of doors "which is the entry-way?" Very clean and inviting interior. Step up to a counter and place your order, they will bring your food out to you. Prompt and friendly girl took our order. Today.. jumbo shrimp, Cod Platter and a bowl of soup. Opted for self serve beverage (soda). All food served hot (cooked correctly, not oily, hard, or freezer burned). Completely enjoyed our experience. Only one note, plenty of employees, but they all hold up in the back and NEVER engaged the customers unless serving them. Owner.... food is only one part, customer service is the bigger part. Still not a turn off as much as an observation

Consistently good seafood! Ordered 1LB Large Shrimp meal and even though had a 15 min drive home food still warm. The woman who took the phone order was very pleasant and gave the approximate time when the order would be ready. Walked in and the food was just being packed - all I had to do was pay for the food. Very pleasant experience!

Combo sweet & hot with a side order of fries. This is quite excellent...

Ordered a few times for lunch. Classic American food. Fair price. I usually get the cheeseburger. Very tasty.

Excellent food served hot and fresh. We had the 1lb Jumbo Shrimp. Fantastic! better than places that "specialize in Fish/Seafood.

Not enough places like Mark's anymore. Simple: just good fast food that isn't a chain and for a good price. Gotta love it!

My wife's spicy chicken sandwich was not at all spice and was over cooked. The best part was dessert of chocolate cake Sunday which they had the foresight to separate the ice cream from the cake. The hostess was away - apparently, the computer system had crashed. She showed up a few minutes after we got there, and we were seated. After looking at the menu, we selected their $7 Jalepeno Poppers, which were served at the perfect temperature to not scorch the roof of your mouth. I ordered their signature BT Boss, which is a 1/2 lb burger stuffed with cheese, and my wife had their Farmfresh, which is a roasted portabella mushroom samdwich. Both came with fries which were quite good, and the burger was honestly very good. So why only 3 stars? It was SO SLOW. For lunch time, the place wasn't busy, and it took a long time (greater than 20 minutes) for the food to arrive. That just seemed odd. It also took a while for our order to be taken, so the whole lunch took a bit more than an hour. So consider that in your plans.

I looked over the menu and I was in a chicken mood but didn't order their wings. I chose the Hilltopper, a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese. For some reason it comes on Texas toast while nearly all other sandwiches come on ciabatta or brioche. I switched to brioche. I chose the fresh cut fries as a side dish. When the sandwich comes out, I'm immediately questioning if I ordered the right dish. I wasn't impressed. There are no condiments and no LTO either, just chicken bacon, cheese and pickles, on a dry bun. The fries were clearly not fresh cut, as they looked to be similar to Wendy's. The taste of the sandwich is OK, mainly because of the cajun spices. While my colleagues enjoyed their food, selection is sort of limited here if you're avoiding fried foods, otherwise I would have selected the wings which they're sort of famous for.

So we tried it. Merichka's serves good food with good service in a non-fancy kind of restaurant. It has various dining areas and a small bar. The room we sat in was nondescript with not one decoration on the walls. The multiple ceiling fans were running so I froze all throughout dinner. I didn't get our server's name, but she provided good service and was engaging. She always came back to check on us. The other staff we encountered was thorough in delivering food and removing dirty plates. We started with cocktails, a bourbon neat for him and an old-fashioned for me. My husband enjoyed his bourbon, however my old-fashioned was Wisconsin style which I didn't enjoy. We shared the mushrooms as a starter - I have to admit they were perfection! The portion was generous and the crust was perfectly crispy without being greasy. I think we missed the boat, though, because we didn't order the onion rings, which looked sensational. Dinners come with a relish tray and a couple sides. The relish tray had cottage cheese, a bean salad and a pasta salad. Again, generous in size. My hubby had a steak with fried shrimp for dinner and his sides were a salad and twice baked potato. He ordered the steak rare because he didn't trust that it would be cooked to medium rare. He was right to go rare because it came out a little pink. I opted for the baked cod for dinner with a salad and twice baked potato. My cod was 12oz and was moist and flaky. I didn't even put a dent in my dinner because I was full from the mushrooms and relish tray. We ended up bringing most of our entrees home. I'm glad we tried this restaurant out, but honestly even though the food was decent, I didn't enjoy the bare bones atmosphere and being uncomfortable throughout dinner because the fans were on. If you like a supper club without the frills, I think you would like this place.

The waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive without hovering. We started with drinks: blueberry mojitos and sangria. Both were fantastic. The flavors were perfectly balanced, refreshing, and it was clear they were made with real care and attention, not just poured and sent out. For appetizers, we ordered the chips with guacamole and salsa. We weren't expecting the chips to come out hot and clearly fresh from the fryer, but wow, perfectly crisp with just the right amount of salt. The guacamole tasted fresh and clean, and the salsa had a great balance of heat and flavor without overpowering anything. I ordered the birria tacos, and they were outstanding. The meat was incredibly well seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell when food is prepared by someone who truly cares about what they're making, those kinds of flavors can't be faked. The Cobb salad was equally impressive: fresh ingredients, a perfect portion size, moist chicken, and a dressing that tied everything together beautifully. One of the nicest surprises was learning that Urban Kitchen supports the community through Meals on Wheels. It's always great to enjoy a meal knowing the restaurant gives back. The only downside? We live six hours away. That said, we will absolutely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!
