We arrived in the evening time and noticed the restaurant was rather empty, and we were seated right away. We received chips and salsa and water as a standard serve as soon as we sat down. Our server came about 5 minutes later. We asked about the specials for happy hour, and she explained it but never introduced herself and we never got her name. She was rather abrupt and when I asked about specific things like specials and whether or not they had mocktails, since I wasn't drinking that night, she said no. I was taken aback. She never smiled or offered any suggestions. It was as if we were in the wrong place. I had a feeling that we should leave and I should've went with that hunch. My friend and I continued our conversation since we were catching up and she came back by a few times and my friend ordered guacamole for an appetizer. We tried it but it wasn't fresh. Neither were the chips with salsa. We flagged the server down and finally we told her that we were ready to order. We ordered the Happy Hour special, 2 fajitas with steak and chicken. The food came out about 15 minutes later, no problem. We bless the food and start eating. Some time passes, and we see everyone but our server. She never came back to check on us, she came back to refill our drinks, she never came back to see if we were enjoying our food and I had to ask 2 other servers if we could have napkins and refill. At this point my friend and I have noticed that the night seemed off. We didn't receive the warm welcome that a normal restaurant experience should have. My friend requests to see the manager and he comes to the table. She explains that her guacamole wasn't to her liking. The guacamole wasn't fresh and it tasted like it was store bought. He blatantly tells her NO, that he will not take it off her bill and she explains that she wasn't happy but he shrugged his shoulders and walks away. At this point we decided that it was time to leave. We had to ask for to-go boxes and bags and napkins several times before requesting the check. It was clear that our satisfaction was not a priority that night and for that we will not return. We both noticed that the bathroom was unkempt and had a slight odor. Needless to say no tip was deserved so it wasn't left, so we paid our bill and left.  If I could give -5 stars then that would be the rating. This experience was the pitts. Trifling and piss poor service! It was clear that we were not welcome at that establishment. The actions of the server said it all! Completely unacceptable and I do believe that it was a stereotypical experience because we were black.

My total was like $43 and I waited for about 15/20 minutes but I don't mind waiting when it's cooked to order. I will be back every time I visit Baltimore. The staff were very pleasant and patient.
