Things started off great and then the service shifted. Ordered an appetizer that was good. Our entrees came and one of them was wrong. We told the server and she said "I repeated your order to you!" And refused to change my 71 year old mom's entree for what she had ordered. My mom waived it off but you could tell she was disappointed. I didn't like my meal but that is not the fault of the restaurant. I just chose something that I thought was something else. I didn't mention it to anyone. At the end, I asked for the check. There was confusion with payment but I should have received change back from cash I'd paid. I had to ask the server for my change (she told me she'd given it to me)... then realized she hadn't. The change was less than I should have received back but once I paid I didn't get my itemized receipt back and at this point I wanted to leave. I still tipped 20% (30 years in the restaurant biz) as I would never tip less. I can't say I won't give them another chance but truly a heart felt "I'm sorry" or an attempt to fix an order would have made this a great experience. read more

One of my favorite places to eat seafood. The owners and staff are all really social and inviting. We like sitting at the bar facing the kitchen, staff, and t.v. Must have dishes are cocktail de camaron, fiesta shrimp, aguachiles with green sauce, etc. Anything you order here will not disappoint you. The food here is of great quality. Was recommended to me by two employees at the Anthony Post Office. I loved seeing their colorful mural. The parking lot was easy to get into. The lunch specials were great. Its a full meal. Our shrimp was delicious. Our fish was delicious. The mashed potatoes and rice were exquisite and the entire meal exceeded my expectations. The service was great. Will definitely return next time we head out to Sunland Park Casino because the good at this place is way better than at the Casino. If you love beer we saw big big mugs of draft beer. I was completing the second day of my 2-day biketour on the Western end of the "International Ft Hancock - Las Cruces I-10 Bicycle Bypass", thoroughly enjoying a renewed ability to effectively/efficiently pedal (albeit modified) again, something I'd not been able to for two years! [Due to my "ageing out"/muscle mass loss--yuk!] Anyway, the service here is superb, although I think the waitress was a bit overwhelmed due to the large number of customers. From start to finish service was great. I came in and placed an order to go last night and I was very impressed. I ordered the fiesta shrimp (pictured here) and I was not disappointed. Although it was to go, the food was still hot and fresh when I made it home. The flavor was great in the shrimp, rice and the potatoes that came with it. Anthony does not have a lot of options when it comes down to restaurants so I was excited when this place came into town. Let me just say this was probably the worst food I had ever had and most disappointed my mother and I had been. My brother, however, said the fries were incredible. I'm actually shocked that they advertise this place a fine dining experience. The deviled chipotle filet was okay, (enjoyed the sauce) but seriously when the rice and mash potatoes taste like instant rice and mash potatoes it was just horrendous. So bad that I could not even finish my plate. I should have stuck with one of the burgers, really difficult to mess those up. I am not trying to insult the place but it just was not good. My mom loves shrimp cocktails but she found hers to be pretty disappointing. Service was okay, took some time but we did not mind, seemed pretty busy and our waitress looked like she was having a tough day. Very disappointed that this could not be another place I go to in Anthony. Maybe one day I will go back, but not until it has way more reviews that it has become way better. read more

My mom, sister, and I have been several times and each time we were not disappointed. The grilled Salmon is prime, as are the shrimp tacos, and the Pelao burger is without equal. They make their own tartar sauce also. Each time the service has been pretty good, very courteous young ladies and the manager is always on top of things. So it's nice Not to have to go all the way into El Paso or Las Cruces to go to a sports bar with excellent food. read more

A local spot that just opened up in Anthony. My wife and I went in for lunch, not super busy but it took an hour to get our food. She had garlic tilapia and I had a shrimp cocktail. Our first time eating here... it was Sunday evening.. not a lot of choices. We saw there were quite a few cars in their parking lot though and decided to give it a chance. My husband doesn't eat fish or seafood.. and we did not notice this was a seafood mexican restaurant until we were inside. We went thru the menu and spotted (what we thought were) Sirloin beef tacos.. and my husband ordered 2 of them, I ordered one and I ordered a shrimp cocktail as well. The service was prompt and friendly. The waitress brought me the shrimp cocktail and it looked and tasted amazing. Then she brought the Sirloin tacos and to my surprise and my husband's horror there were shrimps in the Sirloin tacos! He called the waitress back and asked her; "what are those" he said " I thought these were steak tacos?". Finally he decided the heck with it and just gave me the shrimps from his tacos and ate his just with the Sirloin. Actually the shrimps in the tacos were amazing and so was the Sirloin. Hubby ended up enjoying his Sirloin tacos, minus the shrimp. Turns out, on their menu the english version of their description doesnt mention shrimp, while the spanish version does. The waitress apologized for the mistake and offered to have them redone, but we declined. All in all the tacos were great; very good quality sirloin without any fat or gristle, just beef; tender and juicy. The shrimp in the tacos (that I ate all of) was grilled to perfection, not a bit tough or over done. The shrimp cocktail was absolutely one of the best ever.
