    Shrimp broth YUM!!
    Constance A.

This was my first time at this little charmer. It's on a busy street so enter carefully. Very plain from the outside but once you enter, it's very attractive in shades of blue. The menu was absolutely spectacular and I've included several copies for you to read. I am crazy about Mexican seafood dishes, but haven't been able to obtain them in several years as I'm living in the deep south now. I came here for a visit and oh what a treasure my family shared with me. Please come by this adorable little Restaurant called Lapa Lapa. This was probably one of the best octopus tacos l have ever eaten, tender, and absolutely succulent. The tuna chips were something I have never heard of before. They are very thinly sliced pieces of tuna that are deep-fried with a delicious sauce. They were not one bit greasy, just heavenly. You might want to make a meal out of them, and who could blame you. Next the tuna bites were lightly fried lying on a bed of avocados, these treats just melted it in your mouth. I could go on and on about how delicious the food was. But I want to tell you a bit more. It's not inexpensive, but for the quality of food you get the price is fair and the portions are large in size. Our waitress was very sweet and went out of her way to bring us the things we needed and to explain the various dishes. The ambience is very pleasant. The restaurant was very clean and there was plenty of room. Please give your taste buds and this restaurant a try I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Delicious seafood in the heart of Downtown El Paso! Stayed across the street at the Aloft and walked over to try out some delicious seafood. Not crowded and pretty chill vibe for a Tuesday evening. Sat at the bar and received great and attentive service! Heard there are multiple locations so definitely try them out!

Went in expecting a decent meal and got something incredible. Service was fantastic, and the place wasn't busy on a Sunday around 6:00. The fish chicharrones were a delicious, light starter, and my octopus taco was great.

This was across the street from my hotel and said hey why not. I'm glad I said hey why not. The service was quick and there was no wait. Everything was prepared well and delicious. The octopus and marlin tacos were amazing.

I had a great experience at Lapa Lapa, a low-key spot that knows how to do ceviche right. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff kept things running smoothly without being intrusive. Everything felt clean and welcoming, which made it easy to enjoy the meal. The ceviche was fresh and well-prepared, with flavors that were bright and balanced. They had a nice selection of sauces, including a green salsa that added just the right kick. It's a solid choice if you're looking for something simple and satisfying. lots of citrus and lots of raw foods. I also really enjoyed the fried calamari

Dropped in at 915 a few mins before closing. Ordered 2 tacos and a tostada at the bar. Octopus taco was the star of the show recommended by the bar tender. Ceviche was ok but kind of bland. Place was very clean and bartender was super friendly.

If you want an amazing salmon plate, this is your spot. I've been here often and this was my favorite dish so far. The salmon was perfectly cooked, good size portion, and the sides are great. Service here is pretty decent, prices are what you would expect from a downtown eatery, and there is hardly any wait during a lunchtime.

The Shrimp Ceviche is a must try. I was greeted and seated right away. It's a beautiful restaurant on the inside. Full bar. Try the Yellow Submarine; Gin, Topo Chico, and Mango. Super refreshing on a hot summer day! They have a fresh battered fish sandwich that is delicious and huge. Some of the best tacos in town.

Lapa Lapa is really good. Don't miss it if you're in El Paso. We had a selection of shrimp and fish tacos and tequila. Very good!!

Introduced to Lapa Lapa by a coworker and I'm happy he told me all about it after experiencing a delicious lunch! The meal started with tostadas & two salsas, along with a complimentary small cup of broth soup to wake up the taste buds! Ordered the Lapa Tacos at the recommendation of the waitress, since it was my first visit, it seemed like a good baseline starting point and I was not disappointed! Three tacos come with the order, the tortillas start with a layer of melted, crunchy cheese topped with shrimp, and all the tasty toppings. So good! Looking forward to going again & trying more from the menu!

Omg! I hadn't had good Mexican sea food like this in a long time. This was such a good find while in the downtown area. Before starting they give you chips and salsa. One is green and one is red but both are good without being terribly spicy. Then they bring everybody a small shrimp consome (broth) that I had to wait until it wasn't so hot (temperature hot not spicy hot). We tried as much as we could in one seating with multiple people to try everything. I have nothing but good things to say. Must return to finish trying the rest of the menu. We had lapa tacos, green aguachile, fish tacos, oysters both cooked and raw, fish chicharron, shrimp ceviche, marinero rice and to end we had some tres leches cake. I honestly cannot even pick a favorite because I enjoyed everything so much. I highly recommend it.

Yikes!!! I did remove this from marinera soup! This kind of bell pepper is not traditional for a Mexican seafood soup!!

Eat tacos. Sip tequila. Repeat…read more Probably one of the best taco restaurants I've been to in El Paso! I could say so much for you to believe me, and it honestly starts with the speedy (and kind) service, flavorful profiles and the pricing! My first visit I just simply couldn't believe it. Each visit, I try something new and I must say that I'm hooked on the Jamaica Margarita (with the tajin rim), and the pork shoulder taco, as well as the chicken taco! The Baja shrimp taco is also in my top 3! The staff is kind, energetic and will remember you; not just from personal experience but from my observations as well. Service is fast, food is hot and it's a great place to be! There is no wi-fi, but it is a FUN and engaging place for sure! I'd recommend a bar seat if you're lucky Warning: You may leave planning your next visit before you've even paid the bill.

One of the servers, Jonah, threw away my "half-eaten" food without asking if I was finished. I didn't realize that was his decision to make, and when I brought it up, he rolled his eyes and responded with a horrible attitude. On a positive note, Sara behind the bar was fantastic, and Alexis was incredibly kind. They both provided the level of service I've come to expect from Taconeta. I hope management addresses this, because one negative interaction shouldn't overshadow the great staff and food that usually keep me coming back.
